Tried Portillo's for the first time today for lunch and I don't understand the hype, it was just ok. The guy taking our order in drive thru was friendly and gave us recommendations. We ordered a beef sandwich, jumbo Portillo's hot dog, cheese fries, a soda and a cake shake. Kiddo had a hot dog and chocolate milk. We got our order pretty quickly. Upon parking to eat, the beef sandwich was stopping wet. Is this water? butter? grease? The hot dog was ok, bun was also soggy - the super green dyed relish threw both my husband and I off at first but it was actually good. The cheese for the fries is a little artificial tasting, though being from Wisconsin, we are already particular about cheese and cheese sauce. That leaves me to the shake. At first I didn't think much of it, but once I reached the cake - okay, you won me over. Delicious shake, I highly recommend that! As for the food, I'm not too sure. The building and the murals was cool, though!

Love eating here! Today I had a cheeseburger with onion rings plus a chocolate milkshake.I really needed some comfort food today and Portillo's never disappoints!! All of the food here is really good! I absolutely love their chocolate cake! Great place to eat!!

Tonight I ordered a beef, a combo with sweet pepers, large fries and a lemon cake thru the app. The ordering process went smooth, the food was ready when promised, the beef was good, the sausage in the combo was burnt on one side and there was just two small pieces of peppers, not a norm. The large frie container was filled only 3/4 of the way and undercooked, still tasted like a raw potato, I put them in the toaster oven to finish them. I've ate a lot of Portillos over the years at a lot of locations but I think after they were sold, service and food quality has slowly been sliding in the win direction.

It’s hard to beat Portillo’s when it comes to Italian beef. But they also have excellent salad, onion rings, chicken tenders, etc. Italian beef is particularly good when it is dipped and hot giardiniera is added. One of the best fast food joints ever.

Waited in long drive-through line only to receive the wrong salad. Receipt is correct but contents in the bag were not. Wanted their famous chopped salad but received a Greek salad instead. Do not like olives!

Love Portillo's wish they had one where I live. Every time I go to visit family I make sure to stop by and get my Italian beef. Everything is good honestly even the burgers, the cheese fries are amazing as well. The staff is always friendly.

First time eating here. Has the Italian beef was very good. Clean, open atmosphere with plenty of seating. Sandwich was loaded with beef. Will definitely be back.

This place has such a great vibe and super tasty food. We picked it based on the dog friendly patio seating and will come back based on the excellence!! We had a beef & cheddar on a croissant and standard cheeseburger with fries and cheese sauce... and have seen and smelled several of the other options and will need to come back some other time to try more! Such a fun atmosphere, quick wait despite being crazy busy and again delicious perfect food.

Best Italian Beef In Town!!! Amazing burgers, cheese fries, chili dogs, maxwell polish dogs, and even the salads are good. Large sitting areas with different styles like bar, booths, and tables. Always packed, but food comes out quick and really good. Drive thru is always busy but well organized, and they get you out quickly. Customer service is always friendly with a smile. There are plenty of regular and handicap parking spots.

I got this cake for my birthday and it tasted really bad. I’ve had tasted before and it was good, but today it was gross. My family all spit it out. I called and they refused to give us a refund unless we brought in the whole cake. How can we bring the whole cake if my family cut it to eat it. They also offered another cake, why would we get another cake if it tasted horrible. Nicole was really rude over the phone when discussing this problem.

Man, do I love Chicago hot dogs. I like the way Portillos makes their dogs and burgers the fries, not so much

It seemed like they were either understaffed, or the staff they had wasn't really good. Three times the girl standing with a walkie talkie handing out did couldn't get our shakes right, and finally the third time asked to see our receipt, 4th time was still wrong. Not enough people cleaning tables, not a huge deal but I went and grabbed the cleaning supplies myself before we could sit. The did was delicious as always.

They had about 20 people working there so there was almost no waiting. They have a vegan hot dog now so I can eat here again. I used to love getting their beef sandwiches and chocolate cake before I became vegan 9 years ago. The food is delicious and the divining area is very nice. I wish they would start offering a vegan beef sandwich. I get one at Buena Beef and it is very good.

Ate here for the first time. Party of 4. You're not welcomed upon entry, the person taking the order was blah but they have military discount & the food was delicious. The order came out fast but they forgot some things. I tried the Italian beef & sausage sandwich & salted caramel shake. The flavor of the meats were very good. Seasoned perfectly. The fries were ok. The salted caramel shake was ok, a little too sweet for me. It would probably be better to order food to go. The seating isn't too comfortable and it had a weird seating set up, it was also very cold inside because of the huge fans circulating. I would return & I would recommend. Just make sure you check your order.

A popular place and rightly so. Its got a fun unique sort of vibe. You pass through a line and order your food and pay. In a few minutes your order is ready and you pick it up and find a table in the large dining room. The food is above average and you have plenty of choices ... it just takes a bit of 'work' to get it. Just me (not!) ... getting a bit annoyed with the tip ask at the beginning of the order/pay point of a visit.

Great food, but I really wish they wouldn't keep their employees working outside in unbelievable heat. I'm certain we can all wait until we get to the order area. Food has always been consistently good and accurate.

I enjoy this place however they kept getting my order wrong on this trip. They quickly fixed it. It’s only my second time ever having Portillo’s. This location the food was not as good as the chicago locations maybe because it was So, so busy they rushed it. The Meat was bland. Staff was friendly My sandwich was just average

We are from Idaho, and there is nothing like this place that I've come across yet, so it was a fun and delightful environment. The food was delicious. I ordered the Italian beef sub with mozzarella cheese and hot peppers. The peppers are really spicy, so I wish I would have done the sweet peppers. I also ordered small fries. We then ordered to go a slice of lemon cake and a slice of chocolate cake. They each cost $3.89. Everything g was reasonably priced! I loved jazz music, it wasn't too loud, and such a nice change from the typical alternative rock music in almost every restaurant nowadays. I'm so glad we tried this place!

Good food. Had some vegan hot dogs. Wanted to try them more than that being a good choice. Not what i expected based on what the menu and images indicated. It's still good. Little light on the relish and toppings. Flavourful nonetheless. Liked the look and feel of the place. Big beers. Granted, the beer was flat, but still a Game of Thrones kinda goblet. Dining-friendly lighting fitting for the atmosphere and setting, welcoming despite being very busy, clean with great staff. Fun American dining experience. I'd recommend stopping by here.

Ordered 8 Maxwell Streets in a road trip to take back to Michigan. All 8 were made with hotdogs toppings instead of the mustard and carmilized onions that should of came one it. Very disappointed at $6 x 8 qty Maxwell St.

We LOVE Portillos!! We always get the same thing, so I don't know what else is good, but I'm going to guess it's all amazing

This location could teach lessons on efficiency. Our food is almost always right, but fast and friendly service every time. No complaints for as busy as they are. Must try at Portillo’s: Chicago style hot dog, shaved beef (dipped) sandwich, and their cake shakes. Even the burgers are good! You can order cheese sauce to dip your fries in, you should try it!

Its called Potillo's Hot Dogs.... the hot dogs were great! The Italian beef sandwich was disappointing to me. It came with no veggies, just meat, and when I picked up my order, it was missing 2 items. The burger was not too bad, but I would prefer it from a different location. The Hot Dog (maxwell) is a must though, it was definitely great. Small soda looks like a medium, onion rings were delicious, fries are not too bad.

Best Fish Sandwich in town (although they did change the bun). The line at this location is always very long anytime of day. The inside of the restaurant is nicely decorated. Sometimes I find the music or the speakers to be kind of loud. I really love Portillo’s food. My only complaint would be please keep the lemon cake available on the menu all year! ❤️

Portillo’s is one our favorite places to eat. I don’t think I have ever had something I don’t like. Their Italian beef sandwiches, Polish sausages, hot dogs, onion rings, and salads are incredible! My wife’s favorite is the strawberry shortcake!

Super fast dine in Birthday lunch before seeing TOPGUN Maverick with Mom and brother. Super friendly staff got busy but was able to find our finished order when we asked. It was amazing to see the how fast orders were completed with almost no waiting. Thanks for the Birthday Meal. I wish we could have tried the chocolate cake, we heard it's Out Of this World. Thank you to all the associates working very hard to make such a great experience.
