Hidden gem in the strip mall! This is a mom and pop shop, and the chef has some good ideas for sushi! Good prices and large portions. Tasted fresh and loved the seared rolls.

Their staff was great, very attentive and worked hard to please us even though they were incredibly busy. Sushi was fresh and delicious!

Since moving to the area almost 2 years ago, my husband and I really enjoy good sushi, and this place is truly a hidden gem! We’ve tried a couple of other local places, but honestly, this is the one place we just always go to when the craving for amazing sushi hits! The owners are very nice and friendly. I believe it’s just them there, too. The female owner is always pleasant on the phone when we call to place our large order! Her husband (I think) is the sushi “chef.” Most times you do have to order a little in advance for takeout/pickup, but I promise it’s worth the wait! It’s fresh and made-to-order, just like great sushi should be! Every roll is perfection and made with care, and very tasty! We’ve never had a bad experience here, ever. I hope this restaurant continues to thrive because we need it!! Hands down, the best sushi we’ve ever had! If you haven’t tried it, just do it!

One of the best sushi places I've experienced in Chicagoland. The owners are very friendly and polite and the chef is absolutely masterful. Watching the food be made was a genuine treat. Everything is high quality and delicious. Will be visiting again (and again) for sure!

I come here all the time just for the staff. It is a family owned sushi restaurant that is passionate about bringing you the best service. That being said, the food is amazing too! Ive tried a handful of options from the menu and have yet to find something I’m not a fan of. Highly recommend to all who want affordable sushi with an outstanding staff. Keep up the great work!

Can't say enough good things! The food was outstanding. The place is run by the sweetest people. Very attentive, even when they were busy. And I'm so glad they were so busy. They deserve it!! The ramen was fantastic. I loved the ginger dressing on the mini salad. So much, I poured the dregs into a soy sauce bowl and dunked my deep fried sweet potato roll. Delish!!!

Surprising gem of a restaurant. Kind and polite wait staff and professionally made Sushi. Decor was creative and comforting as well as clean. Hard not to recommend this place as the top pick for Sushi in Lake Zurich.

This place is OUTSTANDING! We love the food, the unique menu, reasonably priced and the people are exceptionally kind. They were about to close and they accommodated us and our baby. We will definitely be going back regularly!

The food was very good, menu simple. It's a small mom-and-pop seeming place with more of a takeout feel to it. They could use some extra hands behind the scenes as it did take a while to get my order.

We LOVE Sushi Yoru! If we are craving quality sushi, we come here! Jenny is always so kind and remembers our favorites. The lunch specials are our favorite and it comes with edamame and miso. My son doesn’t like the sauce and veggies in the sushi bowl, and they are always accommodating him by making it simple. We love the sushi bowls with everything! And my daughter gets the Alaskan rolls. Mmmmm

Most incredible sushi place. Owners are great people and very attentive. I’ve had the opportunity to become close with them and they are truly hardworking people that care about their business. The food is immaculate and a great price. Have never recommended a place more than Sushi Yoru!

Small mom & pop sushi restaurant. Nothing fancy and the food is not very authentic. Still, I'm surprised every time I eat here because it's always better than I expected and remember. The last time we visited, we ordered Seafood Ramen which didn't look like much. It was surprisingly tasty. The service is always friendly and attentive.
