I absolutely love this place! I get the turkey tips every time I come and they have never disappointed. Today, I got the chicken wings and mac and cheese. I tried the mac and cheese a while ago and I was not impressed. My sister in law said it was the absolute best so I decided to give it another go. Man, I'm so glad I did! It was absolutely and the cheese wasn't overpowering. The chicken wings were delicious as well, but had a little too much sauce to my liking. Next time I'll get it on the side. The staff was very welcoming and courteous. I can't wait to try some of the other items on the menu!

Okay, so I’ve been driving around and living near this restaurant for a while. Today, I had a taste for some good ole fashioned soul food, like grandma use to make back in South Carolina! 1) They put no meat in the greens or cabbage…it tastes better. 2) The rib plate……with potato salad…..FIRED MY GRANDMOTHER FROM COOKING! 3) The love and interpersonal feeling you get when you walk in the door. I felt like I’d known the family since since I was a child. They’re amazing people with lots of love that they share with all patrons through their conversations, interactions and food! Best restaurant I’ve eaten from in the entire Midwest! Best people I’ve met here as well. That says a lot beings I was brought up in Southern Hospitality. They’ve got the sauce…..no smoke! Wish I could give 10 stars.

Move over BD, there's a new pit in town! They are doing it right at Wood N' Hog in Champaign. I got the large BBQ tips with fries and their mixed sauce. Once I took my first bite I forgot all about getting a picture! 🤣 Just means I'm going to have to go back and try again! Anyone who's read my reviews knows I'm about cleanliness and Mike and his gang got that on lock down. Portions were big and the meat was perfect. Good smoke, juicy, and tender. Sauce was good as well but I felt it lacked the heat I was expecting so I'll kick that up next time. 😅 My friend got the pulled chicken sandwich special which quickly took priority over our conversation, lol. There wasn't a crumb left I noticed. BONUS: The OWNER, Mike, came over asked us how it was and how do we feel it could be improved! (I know, right?!) This is someone who cares and cherishes the customer experience and it shows. He wrote down our thoughts and thanked us. Y'all need to stop by check this place out. It's the real deal. "All smoke, no joke"

We were in town for a mini vacation and had a craving for some pulled pork sandwiches. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the super friendly staff. They made us feel very welcomed. The pulled pork was the most tender and juicy we have ever had. Don't get me started on the macaroni and cheese😁. It was so creamy and delicious. Definitely stop by if you are in the area. Highly recommend!

Good ingredients. Poor execution. We ordered food for 5 while the restaurant was almost empty, and a lot was missing from the order. That didn’t bother us because the lady got on the missing items quickly. But what did bother me is that the jerk chicken was pretty dry—I don’t think they brine/marinade—and there was a lot of really sweet bbq sauce on my fries. The overall impression I got is that they have good ingredients and they care about food but the chef seemed too overwhelmed and the tastes where just not up to what they could be. It feels like they should either hire some trained chef to help get their house in order or maybe revert their business model to just selling bbq meats to go. My wife basically cleaned up all the sauce and made other meals with their meat and it turned out really good.

I went to the one on University Avenue over by the motel I was staying in for the weekend to get takeout for dinner. The place was clean and looked really nice. The flames they had painted on the bathroom doors looked awesome almost like something my dad would paint. I wish I would've taken a picture. The staff was friendly and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The rib tips were especially good. The tips and legs or tips and wings is what I'd recommend as far as dishes go and they weren't on the list below.

This is an amazing black owned business with awesome food and service. I came in for the first time today and so glad I did!! The jerk rib tips hit the spot, even got my mom a Togo plate!! I saw the fish come out and it looked amazing as well, will definitely try the fish next time. Do yourself a favor and check these folks out!

Wonderful food!! Jamaican jerk wings are seasoned to perfection. My favorite appetizer is the fried green tomatoes lightly breaded and fresh high quality tomatoes. Employees are always delightful to work with and accommodating to additional need requests.

The lady taking orders was absolutely amazing and gave great recommendations. The food was amazing. Will be going again.

Wow! What a place! 🙌🏼 Must have turkey tips (medium). Collard greens are delicious and be sure to get some corn bread.

Very family oriented! We had chicken legs, wings, hot links, rib tips, Mac and cheese, and potato salad. All of which were delicious. I highly recommend having lunch here. They were absolutely great with my kids. Thank you for the great food and great service. God bless 🙌

Great food and staff. Traveling thru the area and decided to check out the place. Everything is made from scratch and it did not disappoint. If I ever get that way again it will be a planned part of the journey
