I bought two sets of acoustic guitar strings for around a $20 total and later received a $140 charge from the business. Bob said he would reach out to resolve the issue but has not yet after two weeks.

I special ordered about $100 worth of drum heads, which I unfortunately needed to return due to unexpected circumstances. Even though it was unlikely that others may need these special sizes, they allowed me to return them for a full refund. It's great to have a local music store that can understand customer needs and has the flexibility to accommodate.

Why would I come here to buy $21 Elixir Strings when I can get them for $10 on Amazon? Are these even elixirs? I am 2nd guessing because the seal was ripped and the bags are crinkled inside. I feel like I was ripped off here, do not come here for your strings maybe they are knowledgable, but definatley sketchy.

I happened to find this guitar store when googling guitars and lessons after I had an unfortunate experience at another store in Kenosha. The staff was rude assumed I wasn’t going to buy anything so why waste their time. Correction I did want and needed help to find the right guitar and teacher because I wanted to learn to play. The instructor was too busy to answer any questions that I had. Mainly I needed to know the size and how to hold the Guiter. After that I took a chance and called Music Source because I remembered someone I knew shopped there at one time. It turned out to be the best decision and Bob the owner was fantastic and patient with me. I took lessons for a year until I had back problems but I plan on going back. He matched me to Joe for an instructor which was great. Please try Music Source because everyone there is amazing. Bob knows his way around guitars also.

A week and a half later, I’m waiting on a repair that was supposed to take two days. They called on the day it was supposed to be done to say they just started working on it. Two days after that they called again to say it will be done in a week (or maybe less) due to a problem with the instrument that requires additional work. Today (a week later) they said it will be ready two weeks from the day I brought it in. While I can’t comment on the quality of the work because I still haven’t received it yet, I am disappointed with the service so far. I dislike dishonesty, excuses, and false promises. I can only hope that my instrument isn’t being butchered. I hope I’ll get it back and be able to add a positive update to this review. Unfortunately since they lied to me, I can’t trust them, so I’ll have to take it somewhere else to get it checked out after I get it back. Update: I got the guitar back and had it checked out by a friend’s technician. He said it was in good shape, so I’ve decided to raise my rating by two stars. I won’t forget the bad communication and lack of transparency, so I don’t think I would bring an instrument here for repair a second time.

An awesome store, great people and Bob did a fantastic job cleaning, conditioning and restringing my 1980 Ovation 12 string guitar. It was a pleasure doing business with them.

Just recently bought a Bass from here. Staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. They are very patient as well; as I'm still a beginner player and had never purchased an instrument. Yet the gentleman that helped me was very calm and patient, and very transparent and honest the entire interaction. Would recommend a dozen times over!

The owner is chill and knows how to fit an instrument to the player. Good atmosphere and knowledgeable staff. Be prepared though, this isn't guitar center - only quality guitars on hand. If you're a beginner, come here for lessons, not an instrument.

This is my neighborhood music store. I've never been disappointed with products or services from Music Source. The owner and staff are helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.

Bob, the owner is one of the nicest guys around! Great for kids and adult beginners to full enthusiasts. The facility is great and has several acoustic practice rooms.

Bob was a really stand-up guy; he gave me what I needed and told me what was what. Definitely going to go back when they restock on banjo supplies.

Violin instructor was very knowledgeable. She adjusted to a different style of teaching to better suit my child. The shop is clean and the people who work there are very kind.

Support your local music store!! It's a small space with some cool guitars as well as most of the regular stuff you need. Lessons here too. love these folks. Bob really cares.
