Attended an event here and had a Pepperoni Pizza 🍕 it was amazing! I highly recommend trying their Pie! Service was great and friendly, many TV's to watch sports and a great Beer Garden with the game Bags

Place was great!! Sat at the bar on Monday night for the Bears watch party and never had to wait for a cold coors light!! Had a mozzarella stx app and took a pizza to go... both were really good. The pizza surprised me... wasn't expecting much, but was very good. If I'm back in the area, I'd stop in again!!

Restaurant/bar is much like any hometown bar. Clearly a locals location. Median age is 50s. Very relaxed place with a handful of craft beers on tap. Food is very enjoyable. I would recommend it for a relaxed night out. Not so much of a date night location.

Our last carryout order were two daily specials, the meatloaf dinner and Louisiana chicken. But were excellent. The meatloaf will definitely be ordered again if available. Our meals have always been excellent.

Excellent place to gather with friends and watch sports. We had the beer nuggets which was super filling but not greasy! They gave you plenty, perfect for 4-6 people. My burger tasted fresh and flavorful. Our server was very good and attentive even though it was crazy busy. Only downside is there is not enough bathrooms for the popularity of the restaurant.

We lived in Grayslake for many years and Emil’s opened before we moved out. It’s a great place with great service and food! Was in the area for a baseball game and had a beer and burger at a high top table near the bar. It was great! The atmosphere is electric with a huge bar and many TVs. The pizza is also very good! @food_from_the_usa

We love the full menu of options. Wish there were a gluten-free bun or tortilla option but not yet! Or more apps that are gluten-free friendly

The best place in town ( downtown Grayslake)!! It was my first time here and I loved it. A great place to grab food, beers, or hangout with friends and watch the game! They decorated the inside with festive lights and decorations for the holiday season. Honesty, looks so cozy inside you don't want to be outside lol. The food was delicious! I ordered their Spicy 🍔 burger! Loved the spicy BBQ sauce and Jalepeno peppers! I had their Spreckers Root beer. I got to say never had that one before but it was not bad for a honey flavoring. I prefer Barqs Root beer but it's pretty close. Their Reubens sandwich and chopped salad was pretty delicious too! The best part was sitting in the back next to their projector style view of the football game. The staff was fabulous 👌. We were actually 30 mins late but they still offered a seating to us pretty fast and at the end they offered single checks which was a win for me with my group of 5 ladies. I'm definitely coming back here for their pizza and St Patrick's day! 😋

Great food, drinks and atmosphere. Bartender was friendly and attentive to all our needs. Had the Thanksgiving Burger and it was fantastic! Would have again, for the cranberry chutney alone, yum!

Downtown Grayslake is a cute area and there are so many great restaurant choices. Emil’s is one you don’t want to miss. They have a great outside seating area, a large bar area, and the food is great. Service is always great!

Place just doesn't look very clean. We both ordered deep dish pizzas- took forever, I know they take a while, but we kept being told "just a few more minutes". I asked for easy sauce- definitely didn't get that, so I had to scrape lots of sauce off. There was so much cheese that I couldn't taste my toppings. We won't be back.

Our visit to Emil's Tavern on Center was met with a mix of positives and areas that could use improvement. Arriving on a Saturday night, we found the place to be decently packed, reflecting its popularity among patrons. Unfortunately, the seating arrangement was not ideal. Despite requesting a booth, we were seated at a larger 7-8 seater booth, which felt excessive for just two people. It would have been more comfortable to have a smaller, more intimate space. To our disappointment, the restaurant was out of their specials, limiting our choices for the evening. However, the Bee's Sting pizza with mushrooms that we ordered turned out to be a highlight. The pizza had a nice, crispy crust and the combination of flavors was enjoyable. We also tried the Buffalo chicken wrap with Sweet potato fries, which was decent but did not stand out as exceptional. One minor inconvenience was the initial lack of plates when our food was served. We thought we would have to eat directly from the shared platter, but plates were eventually provided. However, it would have been better if this detail had been addressed promptly. Regrettably, the service fell short when we wanted to order Buffalo sauce. Despite our request, the server did not return to our table, leaving us without the desired condiment for our meal. This lack of attentiveness was disappointing and affected our overall experience. Despite these shortcomings, the ambiance of Emil's Tavern on Center was pleasant and had a lively atmosphere. The staff members were friendly and accommodating when initially seating us, and the Summer Shandy beer I ordered was enjoyable. While Emil's Tavern on Center had its moments of satisfaction, the issues with seating, unavailability of specials, lack of attention to detail, and incomplete service prevented us from having a truly exceptional dining experience. With some improvements, this establishment has the potential to provide a more consistent and enjoyable visit for its patrons.

Live music starting at 7:00PM. Friendly bees outdoors. Good $5 wine selection for happy hour. Friendly staff. Must try the pizza!

Very cool place. I come here with my family all the time. Service is always awesome and they have really good food. Nice kick back spit to chill with friends and catch a game on the televisions. There are a ton here!

We Always come in on Bingo Night, the girls have outstanding customer service, fast pace, positive Attitudes and find ways to give out free smiles. Megan I think that’s her name always greets us in and even though she can seem busy and high working on the floor, always give us another reason to keep coming back. I Fully recommend more people to come in, give these girls a raise or tip them good. They work hard and kept us in fun mode all the time 😋😋😋😋😋

Decent food, majority of the staff is kind and quick. Of all the times we've gone there has only been one bad experience. Explained to the server and all she said was sorry. Nothing else. My kid couldn't even eat it. Food is good and comes out at a decent pace even when it's busy. When we had our bad service it took over 25 minutes just to order food. Our server kept jumping to every table but ours. Still will continue to support them. Lots of tvs for the supports and I went one Saturday evening they had a live band.

Emil’s tavern is a family friendly place to enjoy a burger/shake/pizza/ and beer. There are different seating options and staff were friendly. Across the tavern there are tv’s showing sports. As for the food, it’s average. Would I come again? Yeah for a simple meal I would.

My wife and I visited on a Friday night and it was packed. My picture doesn't show it because I removed the people digitally for privacy reasons. It has lots of TV and a loud atmosphere. A great place for dates, families, or sports fans. We shared a thin crust pizza and it was one of the best I've had in the area and it heated up well in the microwave the next day. Not all pizza can do that. Beer menue was ok but could use more variety. I will definitely come back again.

We came here to try out the double dough pizza, it was exceptional btw. My husband loved that they had Angry Orchard on tap and granted it was a Sunday evening this place was booming. Really great vibe from this place and all the staff.

Wow! This was a lot of fun and good food. Great location and large space with friendly fast service. We had the chicken wings to start and they were fantastic. The steak and egg burger and the apple wood smoked burger were also really delicious. The chicken sandwich was juicy and delicious too.

Relaxing outdoor patio area. Great specials and pricing on beers. Fried mushrooms were the best we've had any where thus far hands down. Wings were delicious get the Emils sauce. Pizza was just as good.

I had a lovely experience. This wonderful girl, I believe her name was Lana, brought us our food and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a busy night and our server, Dominique, was swamped but it was nice to have someone who put forth the extra effort to make sure everything was right and we got what we needed. Between Dominique and Alana everything we needed was accounted for. At one point during our meal Mike addressed our table and for some reason was very matter of fact and seemed to have no sort of personality, almost as if there was a vendetta against the people who were serving our table. He kept asking if we had any issues or if something was incorrect. He couldn’t take the fact that we were completely pleased with our service for an answer. These beautiful young women went above and beyond to make sure our meal was everything we could have hoped for and this “Mike” character just seemed to want us to feel as if we weren’t being served properly. I hope this was just a one off situation and this isn’t the same response he gives all of his guests. The food was great and next time we come in we look forward to seeing these two beautiful young women again! We will definitely be returning, just hopefully next time no one will try to bring down our lovely moods!

This is our go to for good food. We love the ambiance of the cozy outdoor dining area in town, in the shade and with music. The food is very good. The BBQ brisket tacos are excellent and the wanton wrapped cheese is to die for. Need a pizza? They have excellent pizza too. We often use their carry out option. It is very easy to grab food from their pick up window inside the back of the restaurant using there back entrance. Inside there is a large bar, TVs and a nice separate dining area. We are happy to have Emil's in town.

Local restaurant in Greys Lake. We sat outside and was blown away by the two man band. Playing classic rock. Oh and then we ordered food. Firecracker pizza was the special. Thin crust and pepperoni and bacon, with jalapeños. The bomber witch was a meatball sand with cheese and garlic parm fries. Chopped salad. Julian salad. All were tasty. Only one meat ball went home. Then as we were leaving the band started playing Jethro Tull. Almost turned around to listen more. Very good choice for entertainment and food. Service was top notch and food was prepared fast. Wish I had more pictures but ate then took pictures.
