Food tasted great and staffs were very friendly. We went with a Thai friend and she said it was authentic Thai food

My sister and I went here for lunch today. I got the chicken curry fried rice and the curry puffs. The owner is literally the sweetest person ever and the food was so good. My sister is vegan and got the Bangkok tofu (reminds you of orange chicken). She said it was the best tofu she ever had. I highly recommend this “lovely” place. Great food, reasonably priced, vegan options and a great owner.

So I went by lovely Thai today and they are open, there are people inside but the doors are locked and it says carry out only. So you can't go in to get a menu so the only way would be on your phone. They don't even have menus outside the door so people can grab one. It doesn't seem very smart especially if you want people to buy your food you'd figure you put some menus outside or that are accessible somehow during hours so people can order your food. I'm annoyed so I will say common sense is not coming to everybody you either have it or you don't and it seems like these people don't have it! Ugh 🙁

5 stars because they got my order wrong. I ordered veggie, got chicken. Stopped in the next day and they fixed it. no question. Food is always good Tom Kha you could take a bath in. I'm not mad at the mistake. I'm impressed by how they fixed it. Always friendly and polite, quick service. If you buy rice in Grayslake, it should come from here.

My partner and I just moved from Streamwood to Round Lake and were happy to find Lovely Thai as we've very much enjoyed several Thai restaurants in Cook County. We both tried the Tom Kha soup, which was very flavorful and made with fresh ingredients. My partner had the ranma noodles with chicken and said he liked it very much. I tried the pad thai with tofu. While not the most flavorful take on the dish, Lovely Thai's offering was good. We will return soon.

Very poor experience. Teriyaki chicken was extremely dry and very slow service. My moms order was the last one out and it took forever. At that point, she just asked for a to go box and after telling the waiter how long she waited, he just shrugged his shoulders and left without getting any manager and didn’t attempt anything to fix the issue. We didn’t even tip our waiter because of how poor the service was. I would not recommend coming here.

Fabulous!! I came here today bc I was starving after school. Lovely people, fattest rice noodles in town 😍 pickup was quick and the food is fresh and delicious. Thanks, Lovely Thai! 💕 Carryout only during the week right now. They do have dine-in on Friday and Saturday.

I have only ordered one dish from here, but I've done so regularly for 10 years now. It's their chicken Pad Thai. I think it's the most favorable meal in Lake County. And easily the best Pad Thai I've ever had. I can't recommend it enough.

First time here. Delicious food, very fresh and tasty. Clean and well lit. We had Shrimp Tempura, Spicy Seafood Noodle, Tom Yum Fried Rice and Shrimp Rolls. Looking forward to going back soon.

Ordered the chicken teriyaki and it was not really good. The meat and vegetables were fresh but it was just plain dried out chicken pieces and plain veggies no flavor. They don't cook the meat and veggies in the sauce. The sauce is on the side and it is a thick gelatin consistency. They don't give you a lot of food either so $13 plain dried food is disappointing. Maybe the good reviews are for other dishes but this was not good at all. I did call to make sure this wasn't an error and that this is how the prepare it and they said yes. I prefer Royal Thai in Gurnee. I always wanted to try this place but probably won't try it again.

Real, quality thai food…! With some american options too, the owner was amazing. The food is top notch, and not too expensive.

We were looking for a breakfast place near by and we came across Hillside restaurant, and we were not disappointed. They seated us right away, service was acceptable and food was pretty good as well. The prices on food definitely reasonable, considering everyone jacked up their prices up but does not look like for them. One food portion will fill you up. They also offer senior pricing as well. So if you want some good food at reasonable prices, then come here

Pad thai was great! Service was great. Gave us free thai tea since we had to wait am extra 10 min.

I love their food, but I just wish they really make the place nice. The decor is done cheaply. If they invest in an open kitchen concept and make the place look amazing the food would match the decor and it would be a huge winner.

The best Thai food around. We drive from Kenosha because no one else’s Thai food compares. The spring rolls, Tom Yum soup and Pad Thai are delicious.

So good! Crab Rangoon are the best we've ever had. And we've eaten A LOT of crab Rangoon a in our day. The Lovely Rolls are full of giant shrimp and the Pad Thai is perfect.

I wish I could give 4.5 stars! My son and I had a nice dinner. I enjoyed the Pad Thai with shrimp and my son liked the ginger with chicken that was served with rice. We also shared the lovely rolls, which were tasty. Just a few minor things holding me back from giving a 5, but go try for yourself!

Great food!!! Poor service!! Our waiter left us without telling us!! We had to wait a while to get our check and needed to be someplace else!!
