Wonderful place with very nice food and everything is reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. The service here was quick and the waitstaff was very nice. Our food came out quick and it all was very good! I will be coming back here again for sure. There is a very large beer menu for people to try from as well

The Vine will always be our #1 in Grayslake! Great food, service, staff and a leader in the Community. The newly expanded patio is amazing! Love their wine, martini and beer selections plus the menu has classics we love going back to again and again but we also love trying their new options and specials. Thank you Mike Pruitt for your dedication to a quality establishment on all counts. Cheers!

Food was great! The filet mignon was cooked to perfection, the crab cake sandwich is a bit too salty, the calamari was good, but theres something about the plain tasting batter i couldn’t be completely satisfied with. It was a busy Saturday afternoon. Even tho it was busy our server was phenomenal! Very attentive staff! Clean bathrooms, clean area. Almost 5 stars due to the almost perfect food.

This is an excellent choice with many healthy options to eat. My wife had a salad with salmon and I had The Scarface sandwich with a side salad. The ambience is amazing and the patio is possibly one of the best in the county. A must try great food at affordable prices.

The patio is very nice and they had good safety protocols in place to make it comfortable to dine out. However, the staff ruined the experience. The hostess was friendly but no one else was. I knew we were arriving late so I asked the hostess what time they were open until so we wouldn't be an inconvenience. She said the kitchen was open untill 10 and the restaurant was open until 11. It was only 9 so we had plenty of time. When the server came to take drink orders, she didn't even say hi or anything. She just sort of stared at me until I said hello and then she said "do you want something to drink?" in response. That general attitude of being an inconvenience to them continued until they rushed us out at 10 saying they were closed. So I'm not sure if the hostess was incorrect or what happened but probably wouldn't go back.

Atmosphere – 3.5 Stars Overall Service – 3.5 Stars Food taste – 4.0 Stars Food presentation – 4 Stars Pricing – $$ Moderately priced Summary – Great little restaurant located downtown Grayslake. Staff were friendly and service was good. They have tons of appetizers and their menu changes from time to time. I ordered the pork chop and it was cooked to perfection and the mash potato was the silkiest I ever tasted. They also have a great beer and wine selection and offer different discount on different dates. Will come back again

This is great place where they exceed in everything they do and how they treat you. The owner is known for being caring not only of his community and customers but also his staff. The service is friendly, attentive and respectful. The food is amazing and their drinks have been some of my favorites for over 10 years. I have gone by myself and with friends and family from the area and out of the country, and it has always been an excellent choice.

It's sad really, the Vine used to be amazing! Their menu has drastically changed, they are basically a high end sandwich shop with some fun drinks. Not the same and before covid. Too bad. Martinis are still great. Go for drinks, not the food.

Super cute local favorite. Interesting dining menu that changes a bit seasonally and lots of great drink/wine options. Outdoor bar and dining area provides plenty of extra seating when weather permits...or share some apps and a glass of wine with friends around the fireplace.

Great atmosphere. Great food and drinks. The portions were huge. We also had the fried calamari and it was delicious. I had the Miso Chicken Sandwich with a side of tots and the flavors were absolutely amazing. I would definitely get it again. My wife went with the Santa Fe Chicken Salad and was really happy with it. I started it off with their signature cocktail "Thyme Square" it was pretty tasty as well. Probably should have had some wine, but it was good.

We came to The Vine on a Saturday night and there was a 25 minute wait for two people. The bar is first-come-first-serve, and we were able to snag two spots at the bar. They have a variety of martinis - we tried the Samoa and Chocolate martinis, both of which were very good. We ordered the nachos and brisket sandwich, not knowing how much food we would be getting. The nachos, while fantastic, are HUGE and would've been enough food alone. We didn't even touch the brisket sandwich and ended up taking it home. I'll definitely be back!

Amazing place. One of my favorite places! Food is outstanding and made with a lot of heart. The entire staff is all super friendly and very professional. They definitively go out of the way to ensure your experience and service is 100 percent. The owners (Mike and Amy) always take time out for each customer to ensure your experience and service is going well. You can definitely feel love and passion they both have for their restaurant! A must try for sure!!!!!

Haven’t been here in about ten years. Food was average. Nachos were great. Would recommend. The Amy’s Chef burger was just average. The sweet potato waffle fries were great.

First time visiting the Vine since I've been living in Grayslake. Local Folks around here always spoke highly about this fine establishment so I decided to check it out for myself. I stopped by on a Saturday night, the place wasn't crowded at all which was odd given that it was a weekend night, the atmosphere of the place was great though. The waitress approached my table and took my drink order. I then decided to order from the appetizer "Small Plate" menu and chose 2 appetizers to start the evening. The waitress then took my order. Everything is going well at this point, Well 5 minutes went by and the appetizers I had ordered were nowhere to be seen. I didn't receive my first appetizer till 15+ minutes later, the second appetizer didn't arrive at my table till another 10 minutes went by. I understand everything is cooked and made fresh which is awesome, but to wait almost close to a half hour for 2 appetizers is a bit of a joke especially due to the caliber of this local establishment. Cannot imagine how long it would have taken if I Actually would have ordered a Meal. Besides the lengthy wait, their drink selection is pretty good compared to the local bars nearby but it lacks a bit under their Beer selection as there weren't many choices. The food menu seemed OK to say the least. Overall I wish the food service was a bit better. The delay of getting food from the kitchen to the table would have made more sense if the place was busy but it didn't. Not sure if I'll stop by again and if I ever do I hope the service has improved.

Vine you are amazing but seriously making customers wear masks and making up false “laws” that government is making you require them ! You just lost customers ! Also different attitude from your employee would be appreciated since we supported you through hard months

Food and service here is top notch! Got the Scarface which had carnitas with pickles and mustard, a combo I never thought about in my life but wow it blew me away. Bartenders on staff took great care of me while setting up for a big event that day too! Very impressed with every aspect of The Vine :) well worth the trip and definitely coming back to try more sandwiches!

Atmosphere is lively and the food is delicious, been eating here for years and each time it just gets better. The Chicken Florentine and Italian BLT don’t miss. Great for people who want to try new flavors or fun takes on classic dishes.

We visited The Vine during the Farmer's Market! We came in tow with 2 young children. The staff were beyond kind and caring. The food, as always, was delicious! I love the orange avocado salad and their sweet potato fries are the best! I highly recommend!

Been here a couple of times. Great spot im the downtown Grayslake area. It does get pretty packed at dinner time but usually the turn over is pretty fast, so I'd say its worth the wait. You can get.m a drink at the bar while you wait. Good place for burgers and drinks. Lots of martini options, mostly on the sweet and fruity side. But they had dirty martinis which is one of my faves, it was delicious and well made. Also a good beer selection. This time around my husband had one of the burgers and I had the crab cake one. Both delicious. Pretzel buns are a plus. Good location on the strip. Easy to find parking on the street.

Great food, service was really top notch. Could use less items on the menu and really hone in on perfecting their best dishes. 4 stars food 5 star service and 4 star ambience. Could use more Comfortable tables and chairs. 5 stars location and value. Big fan of the dimmer lights. Can’t wait to see their new patio.

It’s honestly the greatest restaurant I’ve ever been to. The people are top caliber. The food is always delicious. The drinks refresh your soul or energize your day and night. Love The Vine.

  • 3/5 Gabriel S. 1 year ago on Google
All of their cocktails/martinis are very sweet and sugary. Nothing bitter, nothing savory, nothing tart. All cocktails no matter what they should taste like, are sweet. I ordered a side car which is cognac, orange liqueur, and lemon juice but tasted like they used pink lemonade or something. I avoided the fruity and sweet sections and still everything tastes like fruit juice. Wife enjoyed her wine though, but you’re gonna have to change the name place or these martinis. I do appreciate that the food game has improved since I last went but these cocktails/martinis are not it.

Very nice little restaurant in downtown Grayslake, had a nice comfy and cozy feel. Food is normally very delicious, however our most recent meal there were got was carry out and the pork chops my wife got were way overdone and very dry. My steak and egg bowl was delicious though.

We all have our fave entrees and apps. Usually sub for tater tots, and the sangria used to be a hit before lockdown. Good food, good service. Never have an issue.

  • 5/5 Christin R. 3 years ago on Google
The food is always good, the drinks are tasty, the beer selection is always unique and delicious, the service is great, but the thing I appreciate the most is that they are requiring masks during a global pandemic. This has become one of the very few places I actually feel safe visiting during this time because so few places actually require masks & social distancing. So thank you for being responsible.

Came here for my dad’s birthdate one time and I enjoyed it quite well, I think they're usually pretty well balanced with customers and they’re speed I didn't have to wait to long for our food. I would recommend it to friends and/or family members.

Prior to the March lockdown this was my favorite go to place on Center Street in Grayslake. The food was consistently very good. Always a varied & interesting collection of draft beer. Since the late May reopen however, the management is sensitive to any form of criticism..?? Be careful about what and how you speak to staff. I do applaud their sound social distancing practices.

🫤 So today I ordered a Italian beef with sweet peppers on the side. Just a plain beef and I even repeated sweet peppers on the side . Why did I get over 20 hot peppers on the beef. It wasn't even on the side. Ruined the entire beef because it was too spicy to eat. There went $10 down the drain. Funny...
