    This store is absolutely the WORST! The last 3 times I’ve ordered from this store it’s been a nightmare. The timeline for delivery and preparation are never met according to the online portal. Then when you call, you get a manager who doesn’t really care about your satisfaction as a customer. This store needs better leadership and an owner who’s willing to invest themself to create a “standard” that complies with what the Papa Johns franchise represents. DO NOT ORDER HERE UNLESS YOU ARE USED TO DISAPPOINTMENT! You don’t deserve my money or anyone else’s.

    I dont know why this papa John's is rated so low. They are much better than any other in the area, along with alot of other pizza places as well. They make good pizzas the topping are spaced out well. The crust is fully cooked. They make take a little longer when busy but id rather wait for good pizza

    They screwed up our order and told us a new pizza was on the way. Well I called and they said DoorDash was grabbing it and would be there soon as it wasn’t their priority for their delivery drivers. Last order this location gets from me. My dog is more competent than the manager here!

    I had a problem with my order, missing items, wrong size pizza. The pizza was a disaster! The cut was so horrible there were new york style size slices and slices that were not even an inch big. The topping were just a pile in the middle of the dough, not what you would expect for pizza. The manager I spoke with was amazing! He personally remade my order and too extra care in being sure that my order was remade in perfection! He also included a note that he personally wrote reassuring that he himself handled my remake from start to finish. This manager truly cares about his customers and his business!

    They are fast twice my order has been ready in under 20 min. Now the app needs some work, any editing or changes you make your original order is converted to their presets.

    Barely cooked and the ingredients started so far away from the edge it was almost comical. Like nearly three inches of crust. Measure three inches right now with your fingers. Nutty.

    UPDATING MY REVIEW The only pizza my kids eat. Sometimes they get my order wrong, but recently that’s not the case, maybe something improved. Recently I ordered for delivery online added a tip and everything and it didn’t come. It turns out that the system logged it for pick up. Talked to the manager who was very accommodating. They fixed it in the system and delivered the pizza with extra sauce and a drink for the trouble. Everyone was really wonderful to work with.

    Both the service and the pizza are hit or miss at this store. When it's good, it's really really good, but that only happens 50% of the time. Last night we ordered pizza, and using the app, we saw that our order was delivered to someone else. When I notified the store they were willing to throw in a desert with the replacement pizza, but since they were busy they said I'd have to wait "my turn" for delivery of the replacement pizza. We cancelled our order. Tonight we ordered from Domino's. Hopefully it's a better experience.

    Worst place for a delivery. I waited 2 hours for my pizza. Called the location twice and they said 15 mins. Called 30 mins later no answer. Kept calling for an hour no answer. Food arrived late and cold. Will never order from Papa John's again. Wasted my money.

    Ordered a pizza for my family this morning, and when the driver arrived, he pounded on the door hard, rang the doorbell, and pounded again. When I opened the door, he shoved the pizza in my hands and said "here" rudely before turning and storming off without a second thought. I know he's old, but that's unacceptable.

    Absolutely superb service. Food was outstanding - fresh, hot and tasty. The service was welcoming and efficient. This is a place I will visit again!

    The central order center was out of touch with the REAL timing at the store. A pizza promised for about 7PM hadn't even been started when I arrived. Several other people were also available. While not the fault of the store, the central ordering system needs improvement

    Bogdan just delivered my boyfriend and I's pizzas. We added that we wanted a pizza sauce cup and one packet of special seasoning to the order when we made it through the Papa John's app. Disappointed that the pizza sauce cup and the Special Seasoning packet were missing in the box. I used to work on the Makeline at Papa John's Rockford and I would always double check the orders before the delivery person went out to deliver. On the app it won't let us comment what was wrong with the order when we gave the app review and to make a complaint, the app states we have to call the manager. Don't think it's worth calling the store for. Pizza is good at least. Please make sure to double check the orders before delivering to ensure the customer has what they paid for. Thanks!

    Service was horrible. I was very polite when I called to let them know my pizza was BURNT. I asked for well done, not burnt. He was rude and when I asked for his name he told me I didn’t need to know. There obviously need to be better training done here for customer service as well as food quality.

    Never eat at the store in Grayslake. The manager of the store is very rude. They say you can get square cut. But it never comes that way. I have had several pizzas made wrong. That the store manger Holly said they will not help me. Customer care and the Distric manger. They will no longer help me.

    The food was good until my son bite into his second slice and pulled a hair black straight and long melted within the cheese of the pizza. Then I went check the rest of the pizza and found another slice with hair as well. The staff needs to wear hair nets with caps. It was disappointing because my son really wanted Papa John's since we moved out here from the city...

    Whoever the blonde long haired lady is, I'm assuming she's a manager sense she was yelling at people, Is probably the worse manager I've seen at this establishment!. Has her employee's stop making food because she cant handle cutting pizza's? Waited over an hour for my food just for it to be wrong anyway and nobody cared even when I complained all I got was a "we will give you a free cookie or one topping large for your troubles" I cant help but laugh at who they got as managers now a days. She couldn't care less about her employee's let alone her customers. I do not recomend eating here! Overpriced and with managers like her no wonder why no love is put into the pizza's anymore very sad.

    We got the wrong order that our kids do not eat. Called them and was told that we will get this order for free next time only when we order. No one has the courtesy to replace and send the order. Pathetic.

    I watched as the delivery driver was vapong in the delivery car whole making deliveries. Pretty gross. I called it in and they did not care. Don't get delivery from there unless you like second hand vspe on your food.

    Ordered pickup, Got my food home to find out that it was all undercooked and not cut at all. Forgot any sauce that I ordered after being told everything was there. If your thinking about going here just stop by Meijer and grab a Jacks pizza. It’d be a 5 star meal compared to whatever I just got.

    Wow we recently received awesome coupons fall October thru December 2021 that the prices on some items are about half price if not much less. Years ago my late BF daughter was the store Mgr and other staff that was a mess of location store near us. My husband and I during those years when picking up pizza was very dirty inside and when ordering pizzas were late and during winter it was quite cold waiting our pizza or in our car. Occasionally we received wrong pizzas. During winter ice and snow on the sidewalk to get into the store from our car into the store to pick up our items had terrible sidewalks uncovered and so treacherous I almost fell a few times. We also while watching on late time still waiting saw the phones ringing forever and quite a bit not answered. (Thank goodness for ordering online now.) By the 5th time mess up we 100% stopped ordering. Going about 10 years later with recent tremendous coupon in 1st paragraph we have ordered almost each week 1 order and even twice 2 orders. Omg, omg, what humongous changes that its like why did we stop ordering. The place is always on time. Easy to order from online which you can see progress of order we know what time to go drive to the location and pick up our order. Not any problems at all. We haven't had any winter yet to see sidewalks yet. Best part is pizza taste and other items we have ordered have been tremendous and to die for in taste and more. Best "fast food," pizza in eon. The pizzas really feel with alot of ingredients, meaning you get your money with. But the taste no matter various we have ordered are so yummy with terrific taste. Our only problem is once coupon ends date we will very occasionally be able to order only due to price. See I had 4 major medical in recent years we have to watch money and regular price is something we can't afford but with signing up our email to them I would think coupon offers may send us. Best coupons we have ever seen on similar type stores. The staff at Grayslake currently have a great team together. No problems yet except one time we didn't receive the garlic butter in the container inside pizza box which wasn't that bad. We figured with all restaurant places and other business are hurting for full staff and I bet this location is short staff like all other locations. Ok enough is too much to write. I just wanted to say how impressed my family is and we don't get too many type pizza similar don't receive such impressed statements from my family as Grayslake location. I bet other PJ locations have equally great tasting pizza. Prior to this location we lived in Wisconsin and that location PJ was very good, going 12 years ago. We only stopped Grayslake because of such poor staff and management problems 10 years back is only way we stopped due to quality for the higher prices in compare to other pizza places nearby. Thank you current Grayslake location staff and coupons that had us give it a second chance. It worked. PS when you use online you can keep using the coupons we use each time. Well our pizza is just about done. Time to eat dinner 😃 Also only rate stars. I only took off of 1 due to the prior years was so bad took us completely quit ordering at all locations. For current Grayslake location A+ grade!!! 👌 👍 Excellent and I do highly recommend Papa johns to order from. Plus extremely quick.

    This was supposed to be a contactless delivery, the delivery person did not follow contactless protocol, waited for someone to open the door, and was not wearing a mask. I don’t recommend this location as they chose to take steps that puts the customers and their health at risk (I don’t care for personal position on covid- we are ordering based on what the company is presenting which is supposed to be contactless delivery).

    They charged me almost $5 for delivery which is fine I guess. But the pizza came cold, called in spoke with the manager Holly and all she said was okay. Franchise is going bad
