1st class service for glass replacement. The glass Dr has a great reputation around Lake County for quality, trustworthy work. I had them replace three cracked double pane windows. They communicated throughout the process about the work being done. I highly recommend Glass Doctor. Update: They also do an amazing job on Car windshield!

Ok, we have a leaded stained glass window that needs to be repaired and we called Glass Doctor. Hard to find someone to do this work. The owner came out, quoted a cost, took our $450 deposit and scheduled a fix date. Great, we felt good. Then the actual repair guy comes out and tells us he can’t do the work and that the owner was wrong about being able to do it. So… we call and call and call to try and get resolve and/or our $450 back. They never called back until I was able to raise the owner on text who told me he’d resolve it and never did. In fact, then ignored me - oh also had the gall to tell me that he’d hold our $450 as a deposit on future work?! I gave him the chance to make it right more than once and he did not. We never got our $450 back, so they basically stole it from us. Highly recommend stay away from this company with low character and values.

***Deceivable business*** A couple of years ago, I hired Glass Doctor of Grayslake, IL to replace a few broken window panels for a 20 year warranty. Within a year, the glass grid started falling off. I called them up, and they said the crew will come in 2 days. Then they canceled at the last minute to claim they are running out double-sided tape, but order is on the way and will reschedule the repair shortly once the order is received. For the next 8 or 9 months, I called them many times and the CSR came up with all kinds of ridiculous excuses, such as shipment being stuck in elk grove village, pandemic related supply chain issue and nothing they can do about it... Eventually I got hold of the "owner" and he said - sorry our warranty only covers foggy class and nothing else. Below is the exact warranty statement and you can make judgement on what it exactly means. "Size D - 20 Year Warranty" Beware of a few Glass Doctor tricks: - Vague Warranty statement for consumer who has no clue window repair details. Then they interpret it whatever they want. - One way email communication. Only ask me to send them an email and they never reply back or leave any written statement trails. Always talk on the phone and sound very respectful and courteous when giving you false statements.

I have an old large ceiling to floor metal frame commercial type window that needed a glass replacement in my residence. Larry and Tony were very knowledgeable and polite. Window pane was measured correctly and installed properly with no concerns. Thank you.

I would like to give zero stars ....When the tech came out to "measure" our windows he really damaged the oak frame and broke a few wood stops. I guess that is what happens when you use a putty knife on OAK. When they called to confirm the installation I questioned on what were they going to do regarding the damage that was done. I was informed the installation tech would take care of it. When a different tech came back to install the window, he noticed the damage and just put it all back up. Although noted on my order form (Yes the first tech noted it) of the damage nothing was done to repair my oak window frame. After calling numerous times (5) not one return call. Very unprofessional would not recommend if you value your window frames. After reading more 1 star reviews I noticed they all have one thing in common, the owner Tony is the one doing all the damage and basically does nothing about it. Same in our case, no clean up no apologies nothing to help fix what he destroyed.

Very friendly and detailed service. 2 techs came out separately to take measurements. "Measure twice, cut once." A phone call a few days in advance to verify the appointment and another letting me know they were on the way. They clearly explained the process and what had to be done. They are located in Grayslake and I'm in South Elgin. An hour and a half drive and I was glad to pay the $60.00 travel fee. GREAT COMPANY to do business with!

I recently found myself needing my 4th new windshield on my vehicle. Of course they cost exactly what my deductible is, so it adds up in 18 months. Being new to the area, I decided to Google auto glass repair and came across Glass Doctor. I asked for a quote and they came back over 20% less than the national competitor I previously used. Well my install was today and not only did I get great customer service, I was in and out in 45 minutes. They even reset up my dashcam for me. Well unbeknownst to be, it comes with a warranty that to me is beyond generous and absolutely made the entire experience that much better. I will definitely be a repeat customer when the need arises.

Noticed a damaged basement window on Monday, called and had a tech come assess on Wednesday afternoon and another tech out 11am Thursday and had the glass replaced in 30 minutes. Pros: very responsive, work was completed quickly. Neutral: Price was about $300 for a 35"x14" single pane piece of glass. Still cheaper than a new window...Cons: conversation with first tech borderline unprofessional bringing up politics briefly but otherwise no other issues. I would recommend for repairs needed under time constraints, pleased with experience overall.

I was in a real pickle of a spot with a broken window my first night in my new place..getting divorced…I called them in the morning they had someone in the area who came out and measured my window without me being home and went back and made the window to have it ready to replace by 2 pm. They are great!!!

Yesterday I dropped off an antique china cabinet door for glass replacement. It had a custom cut on the top part of the glass and glass doctor did a good job of repairing it in one day, highly recommend their professional work.

I had problems with my windows for a very long time. I called Glass dr and Tony came out and figured out what the issue was. After ordering all the parts needed, my windows are working great! I thought I was going to have to replace my entire sliding patio door but Tony suggested something that would be a better and more inexpensive fix! The 2 gentlemen that at my house were so polite and clean. You would never know they were here except that my windows now work! Thank you Glass Dr.!

I live in a condo on an upper floor of a 40-year-old building. There were 4 windows with foggy glass—each window is a different size and type. The most noticeable one is large and 4 stories from the ground. I made time-consuming inquiries to several companies with unsatisfactory results. They asked for pictures, detailed window info, and just to look at the job were going to charge $80-$120. I wish I had known to contact Glass Doctor of Grayslake first but they didn’t come up on the searches. I live 20-30 miles South of Grayslake. Here is why I’m so pleased: 1-Someone responded by phone right away to my online request. 2-At no charge, a polite rep with proper ID came out within a few days to access the job 3-Unlike the others, he said they can do the job from the inside. (Others said they would need to rent—at my expense—an expensive lift or have a man hang from the roof) 4-It took a few weeks for the proper glass for a couple of the windows, but the whole process was fairly timely. The installers were polite and really knew what they were doing. The results are great and finally this project is ✅!

Response time for estimate and repair was quick and efficient. Chris who installed the new glass was very friendly, professional and helpful. I’m very happy with my experience and the replacement glass.

I got the front window fix on my vehicle in your shop about a week ago. Over the weekend I observed my wipers will not spray windshield fluids. I know the shop had to remove the cover from the outside to be able to replace and remove the damage window. So I called and left a voicemail message for you guys. I think the holes aren’t connected to the fluid dispenser. I left my cell number for a call back and have not heard back from the shop, still waiting. Thanks.

Everyone I dealt with was very pleasant. The men who measured and installed new windows were friendly, efficient, and professional. I can't say the same about the scheduling and confirmation process. I was called to schedule the appointment for measuring and twice after to schedule the same measuring appointment. When it was time to schedule installation, the date was set and I said not available until after 11 am so the lady said, "Ok he'll be there between 11 and noon." When I got a call to confirm, the lady said the installer would be between 9 and 10. I told her again not until after 11 and she said ok. The day of the appointment the installer called at 8:45 to say he'd be here between 9 and 9:30 for scheduled appointment. I had to tell him again I had another appointment and wouldn't be available until 11. Fortunately he was able to reschedule to between noon and 1 and arrived at 12:30. Need to invest in a better computerized appointment system or a more efficient scheduler.

Lovely experience!!! Chris was very competent and experienced, and we shared a few laughs. Great guy with a sense of humor. Our problem was a little tricky, but easy for Chris to handle. Fantastic result. I will defiantly be calling next time we have a glass problem!

We were quoted a fair price with an excellent warranty. The techs that came out to replace the glass in our windows were very professional and knowledgeable. The windows look great. We will use them again if we need any windows replaced in the future.

Needed middle section of bay window replaced due to argon gas lost. We had a pane replaced in our patio door, for a fraction of the cost of replacing the entire door. Glass Doctor was extremely professional and responsive. We had a great experience at the Grayslake location with a windshield installation. Due to a language barrier between the staff and my parents, Christina would contact me and communicate any and all information to keep us in the loop on everything with our appointment. She was very professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable with the entire process. The windshield installation itself was quick and my parents were very happy with the quality and service. We highly recommend this place and would gladly do business there again if the need arises.

It was a quick and easy process. I waited there while they replaced the windshield and it was just under one hour, like they said. The price was unreal too. Way better than the competitors. I need my truck windshield replaced and will definitely be coming back.

Very happy with the windows and service. There was some confusion at one point but they fulfilled everything well. There was supposed to be $50 coupon based on their ad---I never got it----not that big a deal!
