Update: Unfortunately have to change my review to 2 stars. In May 2022 while dinning there we were blind sided by the owner, when charged $45 for halibut, which we found out after the bill came, since there was no price of the halibut anywhere. I wouldn't mind paying if knowing the price up front. Being regular client and knowing the menu by heart this was shocking discovery. We have year 2023 and I pay this much for halibut in Chicago - Signature Room. Not going back, to what used to be my favorite spot for fish. They make the best fish in town. Delicious food.

Who knew such a fabulous place was tucked away and hiding right in plain sight in downtown Libertyville?! Such an eclectic place with an eclectic menu and everything was incredibly fresh and delicious! Quickly discovered this is a local favorite and it's clear why. The mussels and the roasted veggies and goat cheese (Goat's in the Garden)were delicious - and generous. The ramen - fresh, delicious, and made from scratch with super fresh ingredients. The signature (melon)Martini was also delicious! Can't wait to go back and try the entire menu! Definitely recommend Green Room!

Wow! This is a small quirky restaurant/bar in Libertyville. Upon entering this establishment, you can sense that something special is happening here! Marlon Brando grew up in this town and frequented this place, ages ago. We sat at the bar and Emma waited on us. She was friendly, kind, funny and really good at doing her job AND talking to all 12 of us customers at the bar. We started with the Panko battered artichoke hearts with a remoulade dipping sauce. The outside batter was perfectly crunchy and seasoned with a nice soft bite into the artichoke heart. Delicious! We enjoyed the special of the night, a battered white fish with Asian seasonings and chili dipping sauce, served with rice and a sesame oil flavored bok choy. Delicious!! I ordered the Ramen noodle soup with vegetables and chicken. Flavored it with chili sauce. So plentiful, I could only eat half of it. The broth of the soup was perfectly seasoned, with warmth and richness that hit the spot! I highly recommend this place ! It has a diverse menu and if you are lucky, Emma will be your bartender!

We were in Libertyville for business and chose The Green Room for the unique menu choices. We made reservations for 4 but they were not needed on a Tuesday night. Emma, our server was friendly and knowledgeable.

Stop by for a work meeting at 545pm and the place was pretty empty. The waiter was friendly. I thought the beer selection was good. I order some type of beer battered white fish with tiny fries. The beer and food was great.

Had a wonderful dinner there last night! Made reservations on Tuesday for Friday dinner and glad we did because it was packed. Started off with the wok bang shrimp as an appetizer, which was fantastic. Our table had the white fish, crispy, Mongolian beef, and a great salad!

I moved here 5 months ago and live across the street. I wandered by The Green Room every week as I dined across Libertyville. Sure, I looked at their menu, and candidly I didn’t get it. What is a Green Room, a vegetarian restaurant?! We’ll, I’m an idiot!!! Three weeks ago I decided to give it a try. Not only is the food phenomenal, it’s a family affair with a culture and vibe lost decades ago. If you are in the mood for different, but exceptional, try out The Green Room. I’m a weekly patron now and have tried a new dis every time. No disappointment! Enjoy!!!

the vibe was really great. just a nicely decorated restaurant. we had a server in training, he was really nice and was trying his very best, so no complaints. the food though…SO GOOD. those were the best crab rangoons i have ever had, and the little italy was incredible with parmesan cream.

Wow what a great night. We came in with five as we had reservations which I recommend as the restaurant has only 13 tables. Bartender was great and we had a cocktail before we were seated. Dinner was fantastic we started with appetizers of bang bang shrimp and the white fish. Dinner was the chicken fried rice, pad Thai, breaded whitefish, almond crusted chicken, and steak stirfry. It was a superb night. Can’t wait to come back!

First time dining here and it was a great experience! Server was outstanding and friendly. Really knew all items on menu. Staff wore gloves and mask. Great wine selection and food menu was one of a kind. Will be coming back for sure!

The food was astonishing, really loved the coconut curry chicken. It was so good I started doing back flips right in the restaurant! The owner was really chatty and taught me a lot about the establishment. Honestly so good 10/10 would recommend.

Good bartender, good waitress and decent food. We enjoyed our dinner. However, for typical Asian food, they are pricey for what we got. They are small portions and not for sharing as you expected in most Asian restaurants.

Went here with a 6:00pm reservation on a Saturday in July. We parked in the back which, once we got into the restaurant, were told we were not allowed to do or else we would get towed. So one of us went to move the car. Once we got settled, the service was prompt and friendly. My husband and I are 48 and 50 years old; even with our reading glasses on and using our phone as flashlights, the menu was incredibly difficult to read. The font is odd and italicized and gray lettering. Just kind of annoying and felt disappointed; we really weren't counting on putting effort into reading the menu, ya know? We pulled up the menu on our phones; that was easier to read. We ordered the Rangoon; delicious. I had looked at the menu beforehand and was looking forward to trying their homemade Ramen. When I went to order this, the waitress informed me that they weren't serving this all summer. I asked for more time to look at the menu. My husband and son ordered the special: steak with chimichurri. They both thought it was good. I ordered Chicken piccata sonata; it was ok. We did not stay for dessert. The decor was ecclectic and interesting to look at. Lighting was unique and interesting.

Amazing service, food, and quality!!! I consider this place the “hidden gem” of Libertyville- Have never been disappointed and the place itself is such a comfortable atmosphere where it feels you could stay for hours. Love this place, always!! Great bartender and service!
