One hour from arriving till getting your food… Yes, one hour!!! Timed it and checked… now… it was worth it. The food is good… the options are wide, the service is friendly and it’s one of the few places in Libertyville where you can have a more than decent breakfast. I had the Skillet combo but it felt like the skillet part was a little bit too small. My wife had the full skillet and she wasn’t able to finish it all so I filled that gap of mine with hers 😅 So overall, the quality of the food and the variety of options works for the hour waiting and I am giving them 4 stars. My advice would be to get more staff but I know we are all in difficult times for this so hopefully they work this out in the future. If you’re thinking about having breakfast here watch out for the peak hour 10:30 to 11:30 on Sunday’s. Other than that, enjoy the great food they have to offer.

Love going to Egg Harbor, Especially in Liberty ville IL. The Breakfast Restaurant is just perfect to be where it is located. The service is great, the food is on time and it's simply delicious. I love all the chicken decorations, I'm an artist and my favorite animal are chickens haha. It was warm outside so we decided to dine inside the cozy, cute atmosphere. Thankyou for hiring young adults for the front entrance as Host, they were very Manerly,Polite and Professional 👏

The best coffee I've had in the longest time. Shakshula was subtly spiced, full of fresh tomato flavor, perfect poached eggs, though I was expecting chickpeas. The lobster scramble was flavourful and had fresh chunks of lobster. Service was on point.

It's always a wonderful meal at Egg Harbor. We ate outside on the covered patio and the breeze was fantastic. My mother in law ordered the Door County Sandwich and I ordered the same in the salad. Their portions are always generous which is 2 meals for each of us. I also had the spicy Bloody Mary which was actually spicy. The service is always great and the food is always delicious. I'd highly recommend this restaurant!

Egg Harbor Cafe in Libertyville knocked this out of the park!! Strawberry Crunch French Toast- Challah French toast topped with house-made strawberry cream cheese, our gourmet Harbor granola, fresh strawberries, blueberries, and powdered sugar. Absolutely one of my favorite places for breakfast! Everything is always delicious, fresh, and hot. The service is amazing. Sometimes there is a wait, but it's always worth it. My advice is to get on the wait list, especially on the weekends. They are gluten-free friendly and even the gluten-free is tasty! My wife has celiac and this is one of the places we can trust, but always be cautious.

The waiter was super nice, the food was quick, but honestly the food was mediocre. I got an ultimate skillet which is potatoes, ham, onion, mushroom, bell pepper, topped with eggs and cheese. I struggled to find the ham. They were minced and sparse. The potatoes were good 🤷🏼‍♀️ the blueberry pancake was pretty dry...it crumbled apart. Portion sizes are small for the price. I'm not usually picky, but I was left disappointed. Everything was clean and the atmosphere was nice. Place was packed, short wait time on a Sunday at noon. You come for the food though and it really was mediocre.

Perfect breakfast place! It was my first time there and I regret not trying it before. Service is top level and food makes your morning shine. My family enjoyed it!

LOVE the poppyseed dressing (it’s on the sweet side). I also recommend the creamy chicken wild rice soup, one of the best around in my opinion. Always had a good experience with hosts! Love coming here for breakfast. Spent around $40 (includes tip) for both me and my mom.

I am a gluten free eater. It makes me very sick. This restaurant had a gluten free menu and even knew not to offer things that might have been prepared on a surface with gluten. Their food was fresh and tasted great. Not over seasoned either. Their menu has a good variety of dishes. The atmosphere was pleasing too. Our server was excellent both visits this trip. If I am back in town again I will definitely eat here.

This is one of our family's go to breakfast place because of how quick the service is and the quality of the food. Everything we have tasted here is absolutely delicious. The eggs are always cooked well, the ingredients used in dishes are fresh, and there are options for everyone on the menu. The prices are fair and the employees are always kind. I have come here many times and will continue to come. I recommend this breakfast joint to anyone who is in the area!

Nice place for breakfast. Omelettes were pretty basic, but good. I liked that I could get fruit as a side! Pancakes were really delicious!

This is an awesome breakfast and lunch cafe! The service is amazing too! Everyone is friendly and it seems like it is a happy place to work with a great vibe! The drinks, food, and service are outstanding! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu - one of my favorites is the Barrington Benedict which is the traditional eggs Benedict with hollandaise sauce. Cooked to perfection - golden toasted English muffin, grilled Canadian bacon, perfectly cooked poached eggs with a generous amount of sauce served pipping hot! My husband had Greg’s chili and eggs and enjoyed it. The ingredients are so fresh and made to order. Both entrees came with a side of harbor potatoes that were cooked just right! The menu offers a huge variety of options. There’s something for everyone so check them out! The lunch menu has salads, sandwiches, and soups that are very good as well. This cafe rocks! The food and service will leave you smiling! Yum!

Have enjoyed the Libertyville Egg Harbor a few times in the past but today was not their best effort. The one slice of Avocado Toast had the center part covered with Avocado but both ends had no avocado (see photo). Did not see the missing avocado at first as it was all covered in arugula leaves. Many of the breakfast potatoes were very small pieces and charred (more burnt than crisp edge). Lastly the pancakes were ok, but just ok. Waitress only asked if all was ok just after food was delivered and never asked again. Was not asked at checkout if everything was alright.

I always make sure I get a chance to stop here when I come to Illinois! They have the best breakfast and service has always been good too. I previously got the down home biscuits and gravy and the lemon poppyseed pancakes. If you’re in the area do yourself a favor and try it out!

Nice breakfast place to eat. Lots of healthy selections. Build your own Omelette was good, the joes health was really good. Nice mix with the goat cheese and the onion. They went welll togather and that really surprised me. Outdoor seating for the summer months.

What an experience. I always tend to read the reviews of a new place before I go and it was just what some said ! The coffee was really good and when Ryan offered a to go cup for the coffee i had to take it. Our waiter was Very nice. Food was good as well. Thanks .

First time here. Came on a Saturday morning around 9am & even though it was packed, our wait for a table for 2 was only 20 mins. The Belgian waffle is my go to at breakfast spots & this one did not dissapoint 😋 the thick cut bourbon maple bacon was delicious, it's a lil pricey $7 for 3 slices (I actually got 4 haha) but if you got a few bucks to spare & don't mind, I reccomend it.! My hunny got a skillet that he did enjoy, although he did say it was a tad smaller in size than he's used to getting at other places for the price. Overall, it was a really good, filing breakfast & will def go back.
