Been here multiple times with my family. We often request sitting in the patio since the dining room can get a bit loud, especially when there are parties in the back spaces. Each time we have visited we have enjoyed our food. We've tried many of their steak options and most times our food is delivered to our specifications. The chicken and salmon were crisped delightfully which gave great texture alongside the pasta. They have an immense drink menu for wines and cocktails. For dessert their affogatos are supreme! The gelato was deliciously creamy. We've also had their donuts, which are equally just as delicious and addicting.

My date and I were actually going to go somewhere else and the wait was so long it was Saturday night. So we randomly came here and they seated us right away I even asked to sit outside and they did. The food was soo good my date loved his steak every bite was so mouthwatering he had to lean back to appreciate the fine meat. My pasta was also good! We had so much free bread we didn’t even finish our meal. So we took half to go. We definitely want to come back!

It was definitely not a first choice!! my lasagna came out cold, they replaced it. the next one was hot but it was definitely over seasoned.. almost bitter and sour!! my cousin had a cheeseburger and he said his was very bland!! the only thing good was the onion.. so at a six plates of food two people didn't like it.. but their service was very nice!! They were very prompt and efficient. Our glasses stayed filled.. the adult beverages were awesome..

Had a delicious birthday lunch with family here. Good service and highly recommend the spicy peppered shrimp and fritto misto which were so filling by themselves. I’ve never had caramel drizzled on tiramisu before but it’s my new favorite way to have tiramisu!! So yummy 😋

While celebrating my post birthday we chose to dine at this location. It turned out to be a great choice. Our waitress Jenny was very nice who was training and both were personable. We chose a small plate called "Meatball Sliders". Yum! I had the Filet Medallions with parmesan and herb crust. Delicious! Hubby had a pasta special which included some type of mussels. He enjoyed it too. We topped dinner off with a long island iced tea and a margarita. We had a great time. Thanks!

Stumbled upon this place during our day trip. The atmosphere is dark, but classy. We sat at the bar as usual. There were three bartenders and they all took turns taking care of us, so service was extremely efficient. We had Danny most of the time and he was really nice and answered all of our questions. Turns out he's really involved with the cocktail menu so he was able to steer me in the right direction. The cocktail I got was fantastic! They brought out a complimentary Shrimp Polenta as it was our first time visiting. They sometimes make too much food or a wrong dish and don't just throw it away. I love that! And, lucky for us! The polenta was the perfect texture and the shrimp was blackened perfectly. The Wagyu beef carpaccio was absolutely dreamy!!! All of the reviews about that are on-point! We decided to share the Berkshire Pork Marsala which comes with a few pieces of macaroni/8 finger pasta in a parmesan cream sauce, broccolini, and mushrooms. This was more than enough for the two of us, even without the free dish. The Marsala sauce was everything that I wanted! They made it the traditional way WITHOUT cream. Just the way I love it! It tasted like they used a really good demi-glace and Marsala wine! The pork was so juicy and went so perfectly with the Marsala sauce. And, there wasn't a lot of broccolini or pasta but it was just enough. We kind of wish we hadn't ordered an extra side of Spaghetti Sugo because we really didn't need it. But, it just added to the experience. Everything was amazing here! So glad we came! Highly recommend!

Appetizers were spot on delicious. Service was poor, did not fill up drinks or ask how the food tasted. Cool looking bar and dining room. We are on the covers patio which was amazing welcoming and comfortable. Not too impressed with the dinner selections that’s why we choose appetizers.

Everything was exceptional! Service was great although my fiancé and I were up at the bar and were having cocktails and missed out text for our table they still managed. Food was well prepared and well priced! Our Anniversary was one for the books! Thank you VAI‘S!!

I was really impressed with the food here. Everything we got was really well flavored and unique. The mussels were among the tastiest I’ve had, the mushroom carpaccio was unique with the lattice structure and pretty addicting. The ribeye was cooked perfectly. This felt like an upscale restaurant in Chicago, but with suburban prices. I’d come back again!

Loved our visit to Vai's!!! The atmosphere is warm and lively. So much positive energy. Our servers were so friendly. Food served promptly. Noodles and sauce were very fresh, as was the salad with blackened salmon. A little pricey, but worth it!

The food was top notch, the service was great. The pasta is the best I've ever had. We were all tasting each other's food 😂😆. I promise to return with a table full of people. I can't stop talking about this restaurant. I understand now why the parking lot and restaurant is packed. I give it ten stars.

First time at Vai's for my birthday The small plates were great. A lot of vegetarian options. Nice atmosphere. Drinks were good. They have really good coupons and deals when you sign up for their email.

Went here for New Year Eve with some close friends of ours. WOW! We've never been to Naperville and our friends just got married recently and moved in the area. Some of the BEST most authentic Italian we've ever had. Definitely now in our top 5 for Italian. Not to mention our service was top notch. Alicia's recommendations were excellent and I believe the Manager even came to check up on us.

The first time we came here, we were absolutely thrilled with the food. So tonight we came for our anniversary and oh. my. gosh..... Okay let's talk about the number one reason you go to a restaurant: the food. I have never in my almost 29 years of life had such good cheese pizza. Do you know how much cheese pizza ive had? A LOT. The pizza was like... it was like eating pizza in 3D. It had so much depth of flavor that... I can't even explain. The cheese, the sauce, the dough... I'm still obsessing over it.. My husband had a New York Strip steak which was cooked to medium rare perfection, and he cleaned his plate- but get this.... He liked my four cheese pizza better. And he doesn't. Like. Cheese. Pizza. WHAT IS IN THE PIZZA?! Our waitress, Leanne, was personable, extremely efficient, and genuinely kind! And at 8p.m on a Friday, the place was booked. But she kept up like crazy and.... did I mention she was the one that recommended the four cheese pizza?! Honestly, I was and am so euphoric tonight that I was trying to STOP smiling so much because I thought people were going to think I was insane. Like... I'm never eating cheese pizza anywhere else ever again. Side note: we never said it was our anniversary or anything- but it was as if we had- and the staff was going out of their way to make it special! Nope, they're just that awesome. Leanne also recommended the Tiramisu and the white wine cake. And they were both insanely good. I don't understand how everything here is so insanely delicious! So basically...I'm going into a food coma and I regret nothing. *Edit- it may end up looking like I ate 20 meals in one visit, but I'm just adding photos to this review every time I go!

Went here on a Saturday night, this place was PACKED! Our server, although swamped, did an amazing job and was very attentive. The owner came over and introduced himself and seemed very involved in the day to day of the restaurant. Food was fantastic and drinks were good too! Can’t wait to come back!

Great food and service! A bit noisy for me, but I will definitely come again and try sitting on the patio instead of inside. The food makes up for any discomfort with the noise! So good.

Walked in at 7 to have dinner and Vais but it was so busy the wait was over an hour and half, it smelled amazing when we walked in so we asked the host if we can have a reservation and they only had 9pm available. LET ME TELL YALL! IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT! Nicole was our waitress and she was amazing! Food,service and atmosphere was everything! Vais is a must !

Amazing experience! The restaurant is excellent. The atmosphere is very nice and the service is amazing. It is possible to try some wines to support on the decision about what bottle to buy. The food is delicious. The highlight is the carpaccio by wagyu, that is incredible. It is a great restaurant to have funny moments.

Val's restaurant in Naperville is a intimate and classy restaurant for pasta lovers. Their creamy pasta with soft, scrumptious mushrooms is a taste of heaven – the portions are not only delicious, I had enough to be able to take home leftovers. I was surprised that the manager was kind enough to introduce himself and ask how our meal was. Huge compliments to the chef, waiters, busboys, and staff. The food came out in no time despite it being so busy for dinner time. A must-visit for anyone craving a satisfying meal in the area because this place will not disappoint. Thank you.

My whole family loves it here! They have the best food and drinks! Service is always amazing! We always ask for Tessa. She is attentive and friendly. Ambiance is great! You always feel at home! Wish I lived closer. I’d dine here every week!

The restaurant was jumping when we arrived on a Friday night. Luckily, we had reservations and were sat only minutes after our arrival time. The staff seemed somewhat organized for the chaos that stood on the patio, in the breezeway and in front of the hostess station. We were sat near the door and the crowd, which wouldn't have been my first choice but oh well. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Our food was very good and it didn't disappoint. Overall it was a great time.

I love Italian food and tried Vai as I was tired of going to Maggiano’s. Well Vai din disappoint me. The food is good (i wdnt say its extraordinary) and portions are normal (quite optimum). Their small plates are great options here. Desert options could be better. Overall satisfied with VAI.

It has been a long time since I've had Italian food this flavorful. I can still taste the intense, bold pasta Bolognese and the creaminess of the tiramisu hours later. Service at the bar was a bit slow but otherwise excellent food.

Visited this restaurant for the first time couple of days back and it was a wonderful experience. Place was packed on a Saturday evening and since we didn’t have any reservation we had a wait time for 45 mins so I would suggest to book in advance. We ordered the vodka pasta, Zuchini aglio olio and Parmesan pizza bread. Service was quick, food was tasty and friendly staff. You can also request for a vegetarian option for certain dishes if you want to, quantity is good for the price. I would be regular here.

Great one! Made a reservation on Saturday night and it was a good choice! Very full, loud and comfortable atmosphere to spend time. Our server was very attentive and fast with taking order and checking on us. Had the chicken milan which was amazing! Fresh mozzarella and tomatoes on top 🤌🏻 BUT the dessert 😫 We got the cheesecake and it was amazingggg Definitely go and try! Don’t forget to make a reservation!

The food was excellent, service was amazing and great ambiance as well. It was our first time visit and we are vegetarian, our server was kind enough to explain us all the vegetarian options available. Loved everything we ordered especially the chocolate Martini and Tiramisu was lip smacking, will surely visit next time!

Absolutely delicious! The wings were cooked perfectly and the flavours smoothly complement by the dipping sauce. My vegetarian mushroom pasta plate was hands down the best! It was light creamy and the flavours are endless. I went out of my comfort zone with this dish and I am glad. My son 5 y.o. ate the filet mignon, a little over cooked, but he didn't notice. The fusilli Mac was spot on. He ate his whole plate and said that was soooooo good! My husband had nothing but great things to say about his plate. The stake has a good crust at the bottom and was medium cooked just right. I couldn't tell you anything else. He was quiet 🤫. And nothing was left.. I have told my mother I would bring her to VAI's if she wanted great Italian. I would bring her from Texas to Illinois to eat here! I have not stop singing your praise. Tara was our waiter she was super friendly and attentive. (I apologize if I have the wrong name)
