Beautiful nursery with a huge greenhouse filled with a large variety of indoor houseplants! The staff was all very friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone wore masks and practiced social distancing. I cannot reccomend this place enough!

Such a great experience. Even though they were very very busy the staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I found exactly what I was looking for. They are a bit expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for. Well worth it!!!

The most amazing garden center and plant nursery I've ever been to! The selection and quality is superb and it's always exciting to wander the grounds to see what they've got. Also they've got the Platt kittens that hang around the shop, waiting for pet, which just makes the experience.

Tremendous selection of anything you could ever want in your garden. Friendly and knowledgeable customer service. Well stocked shelves and easy parking. That being said, these are the most overpriced plants I have ever purchased (oh and I bought my Christmas tree here, but that seemed about average in price). Every bush here is $400. Anyway, beautiful spot. Go here if you’re too cheap to visit botanic gardens.

This place has a huge selection, and is literally the Costco of nurseries. Customer service was great, Graham, the one who helped us, was very knowledgeable and really gave us useful information to help us decide what we needed.

Thank you Becky for repotting my plants, and the rest of the staff for a 101 crash course. These plants are for important to me. I promise you I learned so much yesterday regarding my houseplants and I took notes..lolll. Everyone was friendly, warming and so helpful, I feel like I want to visit weekly just to learn from them, they are very passionate. Thank you ladies.

I have gotten most of my indoor and outdoor plants from them for years now. They are expensive but to me it is worth it.

Planting a expensive tree was very unprofesional, root ball was 10 inches over soil level, tree was not straight, they have to redo it, all this stress to the tree will cause it to die. And of curse the 475.00 for labor and delivery is not refundable, beware of this service. Very very disapointing

Visited this afternoon and they have a fantastic selection of plants, flowers, fruits and vegetables. Everything looks to be in excellent shape and the prices are reasonable. I would recommend checking them out if you are looking for something unique.

Came here with my daughter on Mother’s Day, I needed a plant I had for years repotted. Had a wonderful experience with Nicole! She’s very kind and knowledgeable. Kieth and Mike were also very helpful. I ended up purchasing some lovely new additions for our home! My daughter really enjoyed being there and picking out some things. I definitely was inspired to start a new hobby, will definitely be back!

Friendly helpful and knowledgeable nursery staff. I went there looking for a Japanese bloodgood maple. They had a large variety of both bloodgood and empress. The bloodgood I purchase was in a 35-gallon pot approximately 8 ft high and one-and-a-half in caliper. Their prices are reasonable. They have a huge selection of many many varieties of trees and shrubs.

The gentleman who helped us, Scott... He was amazing & VERY helpful in choosing the right tree for our home. I would most definitely come back & continue to do business & ask for Scott for further assistance!! ***Update: 5/24/2023 We Got our tree installed by Gavino, Ruben & Joel!! Amazing team & VERY VERY friendly. They saw my vision how I wanted my tree staged. **This is a company/nursery I will continue doing business with & have future plans done at my front yard!! Hello! First off, I hope all staff members are having an amazing day. Everyone was so friendly and humble. Not to mention, very knowledgeable like said in many other reviews. I even asked one of the staff members about a particular tree I saw, which was already planted in the ground and not for buying, but so I could get the same one in the future. (It ended up being a Weeping Mulberry tree) Apart from this, I ended up getting a beautiful Bonsai tree and a unquie blue pot, to which I decorated it afterwards. (picture shown below) I will most definetly be coming back!

On Saturday I stopped by the Bloomingdale Nursery to pick up a Christmas tree.  I just wanted to say that the business operation is amazing.  My wife loved how the trees were individually named and setup for display. Most big box stores have the trees thrown in a bin where you can hardly see what they look like.  The Staff shook the tree (on a special machine)to remove needles, cut an inch off the bottom, wrapped it in the netting, and put the tree on the roof of my suv with no wait. Prices were a lot cheaper than the local tree lots by my house in Lombard.  Totally worth the drive to help small business!!!

Eye catching and beautiful nursery that will make you feel like your lost in another plant world. They have cute little succulents starting $2.99-$3.99 to gorgeous outdoor plants and indoor plants starting $5.99-above. My personal favorites are the cactus, devils Ivy, birds nest, croton and rubber plant. I purchased all of those there and the girl helped me decide on which ones would survive indoor with low light. They also fill up the pots up buy with the plant with soil. The pots range from $1.99-$9.99 depending on size. I purchased my pots there. Thank you Platt Hill, I will come back again! 5/5!

Great nursery with a huge variety of plants and garden supplies. We come every year in spring to get our garden going. Flowers, veggies, fruit trees. Even straw for the garden. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Never stumped them once on a plant question.

Great product, TERRIBLE delivery service! Learn a lesson from my experience. Ask about delivery timing. They have no way of reaching the driver and the driver has no understanding of contacting the customer to give an idea of when the delivery is coming. Cable companies offer a better service!

This was our first time here but we will be back again. There is a HUGE selection of plants, flowers, trees, rocks, etc. They had some great deals including 50% off trees, 90% of blooming tropical plants. We were looking for some flat stones to accent our garden and they had a variety of rocks between $.29-49 cents a lb. We were also looking for a fountain. They had a few options but not what we were looking for. They told us there might be more selection at their Carpentersville store which is bigger so we hope to check it out sometime. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and even helped load the stones in the car.

Platt Hill is a fantastic business that has supported the community for decades. I am so grateful to have Platt Hill as my local garden center because the staff is knowledgeable and the displays of plants is inspiring. One thing that has helped me the most in my shopping for plants is their website. Thank you for running a website that has helped me determine which plants are best for my yard. Thanks to the website, almost everything I have bought from them has survived and thrived over the years. It has helped me avoid costly mistakes and I am so grateful! When I see the negative reviews on here, I know that is because people are not utilizing the website and not doing the research that is necessary to buy plants that will be successful in their yards. I also know that most people are not watering their plants enough either, but that isn't Platt Hill's fault. Yes, prices are a little high, but they are employing a lot of people and paying them well while running a business that is seasonal, so that should be taken into consideration. The only suggestions I would make are to expand the indoor store so that there can be more registers and allow for more room for customers waiting in line. Also, I love the rewards program but it would be great if I could somehow track my rewards online so I know how close I am to my next discount. I know people who drive all the way from Lake county and even Chicago to shop here because it is one of the best garden centers in the state!
