Went for Mother's Day, party of 4. Ordered, appetizer and fries for person 1, two burgers and fries for two others, and the last person ordered a steak. The food is decent, but Ricardo our waiter didn't write anything down, so multiple parts of our orders were wrong. Half the time the person serving us was someone else, and here's the kicker: the receipts that they charge a 20% GRATUITY for parties of 1 OR MORE. So we paid ~$50 tip for not so great service, and didn't have any say in the matter. Food was cool, I enjoyed my burger, the ambience is nice, menu has some nice options. But there's no shortage of good restaurants in Chicago, and being forced to tip that much (we tip well on our own) for bad service made the experience unpleasant. Would not dine again.

Went here for the first time during our visit to Chicago. It’s a simple storefront on Lincoln Ave. Once we arrived we greeted kindly. The staff our super friendly and I really liked the fact that you could bring your own wine. There are few restaurants in the world that offer that. The food itself was decent and the ambience was nice as well.

The food here is amazing and the place has a great atmosphere. Delicious steaks and the appetizers are incredibly unique. Service is excellent and Michael(the owner and maitre d) goes above and beyond to take care of anyone who walks through the door. Highly recommend!

Bad steaks and over priced! I could understand the prices if the quality and cooking of the steaks where amazing but they just weren’t. Will not be going back or recommending.

Passed by many times and we finally went in and had dinner there. The steak is surprisingly good! Service, appetizer and drink are all top trier. I especially like the wide table😊

STAY AWAY OF THIS PLACE. I ordered in $252 and got the worst bone marrow dish. I told the manager and the waiter and no one did anything nor apologized. You immediately pay 20% and the service was not great, the waiter was alright but the managers were rude and disrespectful. The manager told me as a woman to stay OUTSIDE and wait for my ride OUTSIDE in the middle of the night. The manager derogatorily called me “honey” and tried to insult me just because I commented on the bone marrow. The staff is VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL.They will take your money and treat you disrespectfully after they got what they wanted. *After reading the manager’s comment you should be ashamed of yourself. I’m not sticking around for someone who disrespects me. You criticizing me as a person just for being cheap with you customers. You are totally cheap and blame others for your cheapness. A restaurant that respects itself apologizes and should not write about religion as an excuse for their uncalled for behavior. You could just closed the subject and apologize at the restaurant but you have no respect for your customers. I recorded you when you threw me out of your restaurant telling me to wait OUTSIDE. So please don’t turn things around. I know the truth.

Since we couldn’t have Thanksgiving with our family, this was absolutely the right choice! The food and service are always great. The plate looked like your normal Thanksgiving fare, but the flavors were enhanced beyond any homemade meal. Love, love, love this restaurant!

We keep coming back! So far every time we come visit in Chicago, Evita steakhouse is on the to do list. From the excellence in service and the warm owner, the food is amazing, steaks come out just the way we asked and everything on the side is always super tasty.

Delicious steak. Ricardo really took care of us. We flew from Baltimore to eat here on a friend's recommendation and it did not disappoint. *Edit- came back again, they have a new chef Shimon, the food was amazing and the experience was unrivaled in the kosher steak world. Highly recommend!

VERY overpriced. You get an average steak for almost $100 with only a side of fries and no other choice. Woke up in the night with stomachache. Poor salad is $32 with some grocery store greens. Soup of the day for $10 came with soaked croutons. Add two drinks and your bill is $300 for two-person dinner. Was surprised by INCLUDED gratuity (20%). Two stars because steaks tasted fine. Not coming back.

Amazing, amazing, amazing. Delicious food, cooked perfectly, plated beautifully. The owner, Michael, was gracious, enthusiastic and welcoming. The servers, Emmy and her Father, were very knowledgeable and educated us about the menu choices.

The food here is really good! I came here for a Sheva berachos and it was really nice. The waiters and the service was great and overall just a really nice experience. I would definitely recommend coming here if you're not looking for something budget.

I had a reservation at Evita Steakhouse for Valentine's Day, but despite booking in advance, the owner failed to provide us with a seat for my girlfriend and me. This lack of consideration and poor service left us extremely disappointed and frustrated. It's unfortunate that such disregard for customers' special occasions was displayed by the owner.

The food was amazing. If you like, skip the (amazing steak) or main course and just order lots of appetizers. The pastrami wrapped dates, for instance, were worth coming just for this dish. This is a restaurant worthy of a lengthy sit-down meal with friends rather than a cheap (it isn't) snack. Parking can be an issue during busy times.

First time dining here was a wonderful experience! Food was delicious. Service was excellent. Just expect a nice bill at the end 😋🤑

Just a phenomenal steak. Probably the best steak I've had in my life. I had the Bondiola, and it was sublime. Paired it with a Sforno Malbec. Everything cooked to perfection. Staff were very attentive, happy to answer diners' questions, and make recommendations. If you're in Chicago, make the drive to Skokie and eat here, you won't regret it. I would've given 5 stars, but the restaurant added an automatic 20% gratuity when it was just me and a friend at the table. I'm normally an overtipper anyway as a former server, but an automatic gratuity for 2 people, especially at 20%, seems excessive

Just had dinner with a friend here on Monday night. Food was superb. Steaks were juicy, fries were crispy, and the recommended wine was fantastic. Great atmosphere too. Service was a little slow but well worth the wait!

We are from Miami and we’ve been last week at Evita. The food was amazing , super tasty , nice ambient to seat and relax for a while with Michael , the owner and the hostess, to experience a hood meal. Don’t forget to taste the empanadas , super delicious

I'm not sure exactly how to describe our experience. It's clearly catering to a customer base I'm not a part of. Our $32 Caesar salad was romaine, a piece of chicken, and a thimble of dressing. 20% tip is required for any table size. All in with 3 glasses of wine, an empanada appetizer (which were genuinely good!) and the salad, it was nearly $120. The steaks themselves were more expensive than any other Argentinian steakhouse and if we'd gotten the least expensive steaks we'd have spent nearly $300. When we saw the price, we thought twice. Best advice--take a look at the menu before you show up!

Food was delicious. The manager was disrespectful. We settled our bill and he charged our party more money after we left. Ended up paying 66% on top of the bill, much more than the 20% mandatory fee.

The Delmonico was possibly the best steak I've had at a restaurant. Fresh asparagus was superb side dish. Michael and Ricardo and the staff are always friendly.

First off my mom and I made reservations and waited til opening. 2 men who had no reservations came after us and they were attended first while the lady’s sat there and waited for service even tho we were there first. Poor hospitality and customer service! So my mom went to complain to the owner who instead of making the situation right decides to fight with my mother then gets in my face and starts trying to fight with me instead of seeing the situation at hand! This place obviously hates women because we were treated like peasants instead of customers! It’s Thanksgiving for crying out loud! So then the owner tells us to leave or he will call the cops when I was just trying to ask him why would they not wait the reservation table first! What a horrible way to start a Thanksgiving dinner! Don’t give your money to this dump! Poor customer service, they fight with women, and then the owner tells me I can walk! Not a gentleman and his tall waiter guy started to get rude too. If you’re only going to treat male customers with respect you should be in boys town and cater to men only!
