Of all the Comfort Inn's we have stayed at in the last 2 years, this location has the friendliest, most professional team we has met. The Owner/manager was a friendly person to talk to and was helpful in suggesting places to visit while in the area. We highly recommend staying here.

Literally the first room I was in had vomit and stains on the bed spread, floor and cover. It took me one second to notice it. We went down to the desk and they moved us. But it was horribly disgusting to know they made the bed with this in this condition. We also saw makeup on the pillowcases…. Glad we got a new room but please don’t do that to people.

Horrible kept hotel! The room did not smell good as soon as we walked in. It was stuffy and musty. The bathroom was dirty! Shower had dirt and hair in it. The toilet was gross and could not flush. Sink was dirty as well. The grime in between the shower was prevalent and the dirt on the doors as well. The construction job to patch the holes was done sloppy. Overall horrible experience! Very nasty

Stayed at this location due to its proximity to the Renaissance Faire. I had booked online, informed the property I was bringing my service dog, and requested 4 extra pillows in my room (I am disabled). The pillows were not in the room. When I arrived to check in, the young man tries to charge me a pet service fee (against the company's policy, and against ADA). I informed him you can not charge for service animals, to which he told me I still needed to sign the pet-fee paperwork agreeing to the service charge. I annotated on the bottom of the paper that the animal was a service animal. When the front desk gentleman saw what I had written, he told me "oh, I'm sorry. You were supposed to sign the electronic version of the form instead." That form didn't have anywhere to add in "service animal", it just auto fills in your initials on all their pet fee agreements. Our room: the sheets had black fuzz all over them, one of the pillows had red dot stains that look like blood drops. The room also smelled so strongly like mildew, it took almost 3 hours of running the AC to make it tolerable. The pool/hot tub: holy chlorine batman.... I think maybe a chemical test needs to run on the pool and hot tub... after we were done swimming, we were so itchy from the residual chlorine left on our skin. It felt like being stung by ants. Even after 2 showers, it was still pretty bad. The only redeeming quality this hotel has is: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! It is right in the parking lot of Gurnee Mills.

We stayed here one night on our travels. The price was good, everything was clean, staff was so friendly and helpful! No problems with our stay. Our family enjoyed the comfortable beds, warm pool - great kid swimming temperature! and hot tub. Hot breakfast with standard options of a meat and egg, waffles, bagels, etc.

Room and property needs attention to cleanliness and upgrades. On the first day they ran out of sugar and pancake mix. When I asked for more I received blank faces. Saturday night at midnight cars were racing in the parking lot for over an hour before something was done by the front desk. We'll never stay here again!

The water in the hottub was SO dirty that dirt was building up in the corners! Even the pool water was somewhat opaque. I'm not sure what their protocol is for cleaning them but it certainly isn't being followed. The price is right and proximity to six flags is good but don't stay there if your kids expect to swim.

NOT service dog friendly. Several ADA violations. Horrendously untrained staff working at this location. Mr. Patel acted like he cared and absolutely did not. Very sad considering we travel so much. Was recommended by the Navy Family Recruiting information and would not recommend to another service member or their family. After submitting a review to choice hotels we were contacted and given two free nights, YAY! To be honest, I want to let them go to waste after this experience and stay anywhere else. And we truly travel a ton with a child in travel sports. Do yourself a favor and just book across the street. Our bathroom had rust in it. Hallways were dingy. Breakfast sucked. I’m pretty sure there was a violent crime committed in the parking lot during our stay. Someone chased ducks in the parking Lot with their horn like that isn’t a distraction to a working dog. We were forced to stay in a pet friendly room and then for same girl literally attempted to force us to pay a get pet fee FOR A SERVICE DOG. Consistently harassed us. We left at 2am after a “nap” the second day to get on the road home and get the hell out. I’ve seen somewhere that doesn’t know the law and is so terrified of a perfect working dog.

The room smelled terrible, either from the damp carpeting or the room freshener. The hallway and room were humid, probably because the pool door was open. The hairdryer was broken and when we asked for another one, we were told they didn’t have extra hairdryers. The paint was peeling or had been painted over in some places. The breakfast was good. There was WiFi but it didn’t bring anything up

Had a great stay with my family! Rooms were neat, beds comfortable, breakfast was great, jacuzzi and pool relaxing, very friendly service, and I overall had a great experience along with my family! I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking for one to stay in for a few nights.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. There is only one working outlet in the room: all of the others just don't work or your device just falls out of the sockets, the dead bolt lock for the room doesn't work, multiple times employees just barged into our room without knocking or a heads up and then stared at us and just left with no explanation, we found multiple bugs in our room as well. My father requires an oxygen machine and when we couldnt get a plug to work for it the owner proceeded to just tell us "thank you for the feedback" with no type of resolution on how we are supposed to make this work. Completely unimpressed with this hotel, especially its managment, and do not recommend to anybody. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Get it together and do better.

The lobby strongly smelled of propane when we entered. The smell of gas was very prominent all the way to our room in the middle of the second floor. We turned on the heater in our room, not only was it not blowing hot air, it REAKED. Our whole room smelled like burnt hair and fabric. Only room they had available so we were unable to switch, we had to open the window and deal with the smell all night. Vending machine was broken, broken door in the entry way, cleaning supplies left out on the sidewalk right around the corner that more than a few people tripped on. I understand that this is probably not 1 persons fault and that things happen. But to not be allowed a refund when there's a bunch of problems? I'm not in a position to drop $160 and be able to walk away to find somewhere better for the night.

If you are planning a trip to this hotel, don't waste your money. The girl at the front desk had no idea what she was doing, then she charged us an extra 50 bucks. Me and my family went to choice hotels from Wisconsin all the the way to Florida and never once did they charge us for 3 kids. When I says on the hotel website that children are free
