I had a really bad experience when I went to get the annual shots and check up for my two dogs. I felt that all these people care about is making money. I was given an estimate for over $ 2,000 for teeth cleaning for my 14- year old dog!!! When I asked for a total for the visit I was given a really high price and when I asked for itemized bill, it added to over $100 less! Beware of them! I found another vet who charges much less and who told me that my old dog doesn’t really need the teeth cleaning.

Abell is wonderful. We’ve been to a few other vets and have never received this level of care and compassion for our pet! Their knowledge is impressive, and they always listen and never try to oversell. Couldn’t recommend them more!

Highly recommend Dr Gaber and Dr Singh, they have treated so many of our dogs over the years, including Yeti, Hans, Juniper, Wyatt and many of our fosters. When we said goodbye to June after doing everything we could, they gave us the most comforting experience. They also know when to make referrals to specialists which is so important. Not every vet is created equally and this one is one of the best in the city.

This is the best vet clinic that I have ever been to! If I could, I would give this vet clinic 10+ stars. I have 3 dogs and 2 cats and they have always been super accommodating with appointments and treatments. They are very professional and are great with wait times as I have had a terrible experience at my previous vet. There is no other place I would take my pets. The doctors are always thorough with their exams and explanations. They recommend a variety of treatments that best fit your pet. The technicians are so loving and do the best they can to make sure my pets are comfortable through out their visits. I recommend this vet to anyone in the Chicago land area. We love Abell!

I have been with Abell Animal Hospital for about 20 years and have watched this business grow! The staff is kind, friendly and knowledgeable. I've seen just about all the doctors over this time and it's always been an exceptional experience. Along with treatments, operations and general checkups, I have also needed their assistance when I've had to say goodbye to my pets. That is the hardest thing ever but, I have to say that having truly caring staff from the front desk, to the techs, to the doctors really helps and eased a lot of the pain. I feel very fortunate to have them in the neighborhood.

I cannot recommend this place enough. High quality care, great staff. The doctor was super detailed in our conversation, gave me great recommendations on cat care and diet and was very patient with my injured cat. From check in to check out was a breeze. So happy we found this place for our pet care.

After having been a cat owner for 20+ years, our family decided to adopt a puppy ... whoa, what a change! For our cat, we used a cat specialized vet, so was uncertain about where we should take Max for his health care needs. Our good friends recommended Abell Animal Hospital and I am glad they did. Our experience so far has been WONDERFUL! The entire staff is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and patient (I ask A LOT of questions). Max saw Dr. Henriquez for his first well-being check and I was super impressed by how he really tried to connect with Max before he started the exam (i.e. Max weighed 4 lbs at his first appointment, so a very small dog ... Dr. Henriquez took the time to sit on the floor with Max and allowed Max to become familiar with him first before starting the exam). Overall, super impressed and looking forward to continuing our relationship with Abell.

Doctors are great here but prices are very high and would've never started going here if it wasn't for the discount I got. I no longer get the discount and was going to happily stay here with my pets until they fired me for no good reason. Both pets I had here have passed and I do have a new one that I now take elsewhere which is fantastic prices and fantastic staff. The people I worked with were super nice and your pet will be in great hands with them,it's just that management got horrid and I'd rather see my money be put to good use elsewhere.

My sister and I came to this clinic with our dog who was having severe pain in her leg and becoming increasingly lethargic. The employees were very helpful and kind throughout our experience. Dr. Singh was always transparent with us regarding our dog’s condition and the cost of everything she needed. He seemed genuinely concerned with her well-being and we were able to get her on medication which significantly helped. Overall a positive experience!

My experience at Abell was geeat! Dr. Singh does a wonderful job of explaining what my dog needed and was very transparent with me about costs. He seems to truly care for animals. With his help were able to get my dog on medication that helped ease her pain greatly and she has been doing so much better since.

Dr. Singh and the team take such great care of Messi and Nicholas! They treat them as if they are their own dogs. We are very well cared for and appreciate it!

We have been taking our Broly boy since he was a pup. He has had all his primary care including puppy vaccines, and neuter at Abell. Broly is a German Shepherd and a sweetie but naturally at times anxious and unsure of vet visits. Doctors and vet technicians have always worked with us to set him up for success in his appointments. He feels welcomed and loved each vet visit. Dr. Singh and Dr. Paik are wonderful and patient Veterinarians. We have never felt pressured to do or buy something we are unsure of. Doctors and veterinary technicians at Abell are so thorough! They answer our questions with patience and knowledge. Thank you to all Abell staff for always taking the extra step to make Broly feel comfortable.

My family has been going to Abell Animal Hospital for well over a decade. They've provided consistent, caring, and compassionate support for many of our family dogs. The front desk staff are kind and prompt, the techs are thorough and truly take their time, and the doctors are all absolutely wonderful. We love Abell!

If have been going to Abell for 20 years. Even before Dr. Singh bought the practice. There have been 3-4 times when I have had an emergency and they make no effort to squeeze you in. What’s the value in being loyal to one vet when they cannot bother to help you when you truly need them. I will be finding another vet for both my dogs and will nolonger refer anyone there.

Used to be a great veterinary office, but we have found that there has been such a turnover since we started coming here 20+ years ago. They used to be personable, but not anymore. Now, they want to check you in via the phone while you sit in your car in 90°+ heat wasting gas. Then the vet wants a muzzle on before meeting your dog because she has been bitten by another dog before and is scared...um. I am not advocating for getting bit, but a vet that's scared of dogs and has zero interest in forming a relationship is not what I am looking for.

The staff at Abell Animal Hospital are great. I feel my dogs Freddie and Mattie receive excellent care. The exams rooms are always clean and bright. Dr. Singh is a very kind, thorough, empathetic and knowledgeable vet who inspires confidence.

Last year I lost both my fur babies to old age & illness. The staff at Abell Animal Hospital were wonderful and supportive. I highly recommend Abell Animal Hospital.

I've had such a great experience with this animal hospital the past few days. I'm not one to write a review - unless it's really, really, really good (or bad lol). During all the craziness that is going on in the world right now, both of my cats (who don't even live together) got eye infections. Everyone that I've spoken to, especially the doctors, have been so helpful and accommodating! Everytime I talk to them I feel like they actually care and take the time to explain things to me and want the best for my cats!! It's very rare these days to recieve service like this. I would recommend them to everybody for any of your pets needs!

Abell is amazing! Our family has been bringing our pets here for years. The doctor’s and staff are just wonderful. They truly go above and beyond for us and our animals. I have been taking my great dane of a glorious 4th year and every visit I used abell animal hospital for his check up and medicine including nail trimming. The staff has been very helpful and ALWAYS returned my calls and emails. I highly recommend them!

I gave it four stars because our first time here was during Covid-19 sonit was basically a drop off. They handled it all great and had great communication and were very efficient! I have not seen the inside of the facility so I felt I couldn’t give it all 5 stars, although I’m sure once we can go in, I will be happy with the facility as well.

The people at Abell are friendly and helpful. The doctor was thorough and informative. My only issue is that I felt I was being up-sold on things like dog food. It won't stop me from bringing my pets there as care for my dogs is the primary goal.

I’ve been taking my dogs to Abell for many years and they are all wonderful with customer service and the care they provide to the animals. Most recently when my dog was diagnosed with bone cancer, Dr Singh made an accommodation for me to come in right away that day for further xrays. He referred me to a specialist but would call to check in on my dog and was extremely patient with all of my questions and thorough in explaining everything. I’ve since gotten another dog who came from an extremely abusive situation and needed quite a bit of medical attention. This time I worked with Dr Paik and she along with the staff were very compassionate with this dog and spent well over an hour assessing and treating him. Dr Paik also patiently went through each of my many questions and gave me some great suggestions for improving the dog’s nutrition, comfort and general quality of life. I highly recommend Abell!

As a first-time pet owner, I really had a great experience at Abell. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly, helpful and kind. It was easy to make an appointment, and the appointment happened on-time---no waiting!.

I highly recommend Abell. I am a long time dog lover. I had other vets who were so cold, but the lovely people at Abell genuinely took an interest in my dog’s health. I found them by chance in an emergency situation. The vet I used to see which was my dog’s rescue’s main vet had told me they could not see me for months. Another vet said the same. Abell agreed to see me within a day or two when I told them the situation. The people there were always so helpful and Dr. Singh always took time to call. Really compassionate amazing people who were there to answer every question. They even seen my dog on an emergency basis for a b12 shot and anti nausea meds. I am very thankful to them. I also like how they handle the animals gently when they come to get them. A tech at another vet’s office pulled my dog by the neck. The care at Abell was truly outstanding and I think they are the best vet clinic on the north west side. They will also be honest if they think your pet may need a speciality vet visit or if anything was out of the ordinary with blood work.

We had say goodbye to our beloved dog. The Abell was team incredible. They were so helpful with providing the best care to our dog.

New puppy in the house so needed to setup up an appointment with the vet; very easy to do, the procedure in place due to COVID is easy to follow, a technician comes out a greets you and your pet, you will get a call from the vet with an overview of the health of you pet and the vaccinations if any needed. They ask for any concerns you might have and in the end they provide you with any recommendations. Really great service, of course we will be coming back as needed to Abell Animal Hospital.

So appreciative of the staff at Abell! I recently started bringing my dogs here and have had a wonderful experience each time. Specifically, my dog Colby is anxious around new people, so I was nervous to drop him off without me for his visit due to Covid restrictions. However, Denise was so warm and welcoming to Colby, and the doctor (I can't remember her name, but she was wonderful) also helped put him at ease. Additionally, Dr. Henriquez was very communicative with me regarding test results for my other dog Leo at an earlier visit. I can't recommend these folks enough. Especially during these times, I truly appreciate the staff at Abell keeping us safe while not compromising on the high quality of pet care. We love Abell!

Such a great vet office! The vets here are very knowledgeable and sweet. They take their time with their patients and ask a lot of good questions. I am so impressed with the quality of service here. Everyone moves seamlessly to put you in the room and to transport their patients to the back when necessary. All in all, a great place!

Everyone is kind and very attentive patient and resourceful but like any place you kind of have to navigate what your dog needs and really doesn’t need….because it’s expensive

I honestly have nothing but wonderful things to say about Abell. Our pets have been patients here for several years now. The vets, vet techs, and front desk staff have always been lovely. We have two rottweilers and a cat and all three animals have gone here for many routine visits and minor procedures. I truly feel the care we have received has been thorough and informative, and the staff always provides adequate post-visit information and care. I also want to note that our previous vet practice was VERY discriminatory to any/all dogs that were in the stereotypical "scary" category (pitbulls/rottweilers/dobermans) and many of the staff members were scared to handle said dogs. I'm so pleased to say that Abell staff have been nothing but incredible with our rottweilers and treated them just as they would a lab or a golden retriever! Thank you so much, team Abell! We appreciate you all so much!

The doctor that saw my cat Regis was awesome. I think Regis liked her to. The tech was great in keeping me informed of needed to be done and the cost. Regis liked her too. I definitely recommend Abell Animal Hospital as my pet's second best friend.

Years back I brought my dog in because he had a deep cut on his ear. All the did was put a band aid on it sent me home with a 200 dollar bill and he shook it off within 20 min. His ear never healed correctly. This was clearly something that needed more than a wrap. This place is all about money.

This place is great. Honest people that you can tell truly love animals. We moved about an hour away and still take our dog there!

My dog had some breathing issues and Abell was the closest vet to home. It was over a week to even get into. They were short staffed and 1 doctor in. However, for a urgent issue it would have been nice to have same day service.

Even with " social distancing " the over the phone consultation with the Dr. after the visit was excellent and all questions and concerns were answered .

I brought both of cats here a few years ago. The incompetence from Dr Simran was inexcusable. There are about six scenarios where he was not responsive to the issue at hand. His staff at the time, ignored my requests on how not to treat my cat, Belle. They traumatized her. We also had fleas and he told me to clean everything completely and come back in a month. I did, but it was worse. I had purchased some flea products but they didn’t work. That is when he told me that he had a product that would resolve the problem, but he was out of stock. I asked if he had the product when I first found out about the fleas, and he answered yes, but he never mentioned it. They were so incompetent and apathetic, and negligent. I will not go back as long as he is there.

This place sucks . The people there are so unprofessional and as rude . Don’t waste your money.

My cat is very ill and they will not see him beause they have no openings today. I have been going to this vet since the previous owner (over 18 years) and am beyond disappointed.

Excellent care from the doctor and techs. My Callie had an ingrown nail and needed surgery and a walking cast. She was amazingly calm for all of her visits. She trusted them, and so do I. I highly recommend them.

Absolute rip off!!! I was 10 minutes late due to trying to get my cat in his carrier. They charged me $78 with no exceptions. Plus they are expensive anyway. No apologies or anything. They simply don’t care. I always waited for at least ten minutes on prior apts. Not going back.

For too many years to count, I have brought all my cats do Dr. Singh. From babies to seniors. He is the most genuine, kind and caring veterinarian that I have ever met. My cat, Samantha, lived to be 27 years under his care. He kept her content and happy through cancer, blindness and loss of hearing. I didn't know what to do. He said, dont put her down. She will let you know when she’s ready. Im so glad that i took his advice because she did. Once again, he cared for the rescue that i have now. At 3 months old, she had been drugged, beaten and thrown against the wall bt. 6-foot, 209-pound man. Even though she endured hell, she loved Dr. Singh from the moment that she saw him. He has a way with animals like no one else. The only time that i put her in a carrier is to go for a visit. She gets ecstatic when she sees him. He could do anything to her snd she stands there like a statue. Due to the beatings she endured, Doctor did special blood work to ensure she didnt have cancer. She’s 10 years old this month. We are late on an annual checkup due to my own health problems. She will be one very happy kitty soon!
