While I can't hold the snow conditions against the mountain, I can definitely comment about the disappointing design throughout the entire mountain. It's like the designers had never skied before. To start, the parking lot was a sheet of actual ice, as were the walkways. There's unclear/no signage about the where to pick up your RFID cars at the self-service machines. It was blocked by a line of people waiting to buy tickets. The main lift line is sloped downwards so you have to use poles to support yourself. It's an uphill battle to get to the MA lifts from the NY side and there were very disorganized lift lines throughout. The RFID gates were only on one lift, and it had several broken gates, so hypothetically anyone could just show up and ski without paying. There's a pretty view from the top of the mountain, some nice fire pits near the lodge and it looks like there are two more lifts under construction that might ease some of the buildup of people waiting for lifts, but they probably should have focused on improving the mountain experience before rebuilding the lodges. Speaking of the lodges, it sounds like they are going to be addressing the bag storage issue but until then, everyone's bags will be all over the floor of the lodge and under tables. Glad to see they're working on things though!

Did the Ariel adventure course! We had a blast! I recommend for any level. The workers are very safe and helpful. We felt 100% safe the whole time. At one time I was nervous on one of the “elements” and the workers talking me through it . My husband and I enjoyed our time and will be back. Great way to spend time together

Catamount is the best place, where you can ski and relax. Very client oriented. Slopes are great and various levels. Lifts are working and fast. Lodge has free concert series through the winter. They even hold annual pass holder appreciation event with great food and drinks to honour their pass holders. Affordable prices.

First and last time I visited this mountain. I'm no pro skier, I go once maybe twice a year at best. I just got my son on skis for the first time last year so you could imagine his excitement when we told him we were headed to visit friends who bought a house upstate and we'd be skiing. Our friends who live 20 minutes away from Windham suggested this mountain (an hour away from them) because it's a smaller mountain and has beginner slopes all on one side of the mountain. We purchased our lift tickets a few days in advance, but not our rentals. When we got to the mountain they said they were out of rentals, when the parking attendant tried (he was a very sweet young boy) to help us, we asked about rental shops nearby but there were none he knew of, he told us that IF we found rentals and made it back he'd try to park us but they were running out of spots! Now I understand this was a holiday week and the mountains are busy...I ski every year this same week. I have NEVER been to a mountain that has run out of rentals and the answer when we called the office was "we sold more lift tickets than we have rentals available". They offered to move our lift ticket to the following day or refund us (minus a $35 processing fee). We took the refund! The only reason for 1 star is because we were able to get our money back...still peeved about the processing fee. They told us "even if you rented your equipment ahead of time it is first come first serve so we're just refunding people all day". There needs to be a better system in place, this is not a way to conduct business!!!!! Unacceptable, will never return.

Overall a decent mountain. Will be better next year when all their lift replacements open. Good variety of trails. Very busy on weekends. Nice new lodge. Owners are putting some money into this place. Staff were nice and friendly. Not crazy about the line organization, kind of a free for all narrowing down to the RFID gate. Snow conditions were decent but does get skied off by afternoon with the weekend crowds.

Chill vibe. Enjoyable trails. No lines. Even over Christmas vacation. Went today and really appreciated how hard they worked to get so many trails online with zero natural snow. Looking forward to returning when fully open. If you have an Indy Pass it is 100% worth a visit!

Went ziplining for the first time ever and it was an amazing experience. All the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I plan on going again and also will stay there at some point next year. They're doing a lot of work around the resort so I'm looking forward to seeing the changes.

I can’t say enough about the AMAZING experience I have had with Catamount and each staff member. Lisa did a great job helping me juggle the schedule between the Zip-line and Areal Adventure! All of the staff were funny and had great personalities which added to the experience! Catamount may be a long way from South Carolina, but we will certainly return many more times!!

All the staff we met were so helpful and kind from the lift operators to the food services. We went on President's Day weekend, so it was crazy crowded. We were surprised to wait 2 hours for equipment rental alone, and every lift had a long line. The easiest slope was closed, so my kids had to stick with the bunny hill. Nevertheless, it was a fun weekend, and a good first ski trip for my kids.

Tip: free water bottle refill stations near the restrooms. There is also a dedicated bag storage room in the Mountain Cat/lesson area. My two boys learned how to ski at Catamount Mountain. It is beginner friendly and the instructors are great. I tried to book for more lessons but they’re all full. Looks like the secret is out, so I recommend booking lessons in advance. All the staffs from ticketing to lift operators are all very friendly. The trail condition is remarkable given how hot this winter is.

Loved our one night stay here! We stayed in the Mountain View 3 room and had plenty of space for 4 people. Super convenient with a parking spot right at the room and loved being able to just go to and from the Catamount lodge. Made night and morning skiing a breeze! Another plus was the sauna/heat light in the bathroom which felt great to warm up in. The mini-fridge and small kitchen counter w/ sink was useful. Two downsides was that there is no microwave and I didn't get a followup email with the door code. But the Catamount staff at customer service were very helpful and friendly.

We love Catamount Tubing! The run is long and steep enough to be exciting for both adults and kids. The tubes are great. The employees are having fun and treat everyone so well.

Very fun. Lodge food price is fair and delicious. I ski for the first time, but felt that they could have a bunny slope or something less steep. I will try another mountain to see if they haver easier trails, but for those with better skills, certainly good.

Beautiful place to ski!!! The scenery is absolutely beautiful, it looks like a place from Disney!! The people are super nice and helpful. My only recommendation is to bring your own food and drinks (e.g sandwiches, chips, energy bar, water and Gatorade) . The food in there is very pricey and not tasty!!!

Skied here for the first time ever. Another small mountain gem, so happy to experience this place on the Indy Pass. I really like the separation of the green trails from the more advanced terrain. It's been a tough season for snow but when I was there it probably 90% of trails were open. Super nice main lodge, reminds me so much of how base lodges were when I was a kid, glad to see places like this still around. We're already talking about coming back in the summer for the zip lines.

Good evening, My name is Tom, my twin 19 year old sons and I recently had a reservation do the zip line tour. Our reservation was set for Monday the 26th at 11:00. We were greeted by staff and office staff everyone was happy and professional. They communicated clearly and precise as we watched the video and given clear safety instructions. We then secured our harness, and tested for proper fitting. Went outside and did safety test signals and test line. We then proceeded to the chair lift to begin tour. Our instructors just left on the chairs, a lightning strike a few miles away. So our tour was postponed an hour. Long story short our zip line your was cancelled due to weather. We did understand the safety concerns, but this is why we drove from Virginia for this experience. We walked back and turned in harness, and spoke of other potential opportunities to get this ride in possibly next day. Erin and Kevin exchanged my phone number, just in case the weather window opened where we could get the ride in. We stayed in Barrington that evening, waiting for the chance the weather cleared. Around 8:30 am I did get a call from Kevin, he said we may get a window around 9:30 that morning. We checked out and headed back to the mountain. Around 9:30 we were waved in to the zip line room. We were really happy to have another chance to get this ride in. Erin and Kevin had the harness and helmets layer out, asked us to put on. Asked if we had any questions. We chatted and laughed about our different zip line tours we have been to before. They reviewed the zip line safety process and safety braking. We loaded on to UTV and went to top of mountain. Lear instructions on braking and hand and arm signals reviewed. My sons loaded first, we were told the stats of the zip line tour. They left and then my turn, what a great experience. Then my sons loaded for for the long line, they filled us in on the different mountains and views from this platform. So beautiful My sons left, excited to see which one would win. Then I went, an amazing ride down. This will always be remembered by myself and sons. We are forever in the debt of Erin and Kevin for them coming in on a day off to allow us this awesome zip line experience. We will be back. Thank you

Went Ziplining with some family for my 70th birthday. We all had a great time. The two instructors who taught us what we had to do were wonderful, friendly and fun to spend the day with.

Zip line was amazing experience for my kids however I have to compliment the warm, friendly and helpful staff. They were excited to be there and that my daughters and I had a great time - they made sure we had pictures to memorialize the experience and answered any and all questions regarding the zip line, the resort and the surrounding area. Top - notch activity which I highly recommend.

Had a good time ...lots of runs ...in lodge not much food selection. Nice fire pits! Maintenance really needs to shovel. Entry to lodge from parking lot was snow chunked...what happened to rubber mats? Parking lot needs ice melt, sand. something...I slipped and fell returning to car.

Catamount was ok for the day. Went here because it was a convenient Middle point to meet a friend from Massachusetts. Good for someone that is improving on their skills. But not a lot of runs. Prices are similar to bigger resorts...but without the big resort... Definitely don't go to the Taco truck. Empanadas were about the size of small dumplings. 2 for $16?!! Never again!
