This
company
is
engaged
in
a
blatant
scam.
They
solicited
memberships
this
past
spring
under
the
auspices
that
members
would
be
able
to
use
their
Reston
location
until
the
new
location
opened.
I
signed
up
and
they
closed
the
reston
location
the
same
week,
in
complete
disregard
to
the
promises
made
to
get
new
clients
to
enter
contract.
Upon
realization
of
this
I
contacted
their
billing
company
to
cancel
my
membership
and
they
responded
in
email
confirming
receipt
of
my
desire
to
cancel.
Weeks
later
after
seeing
multiple
attempted
charges
I
followed
up
with
them
only
to
receive
a
different
story
claiming
I
must
contact
Gold’s
directly,
despite
already
having
email
confirmation
of
cancellation
in
writing.
When
I
contacted
Gold’s
they
continuously
refused
to
cancel
the
membership
demanding
that
I
come
into
a
physical
location
to
cancel,
despite
closing
the
location
near
me
and
actually
asking
that
I
come
ACROSS
TOWN
to
cancel
my
membership
or
they
will
continue
charging.
Being
that
I
rode
public
transportation
at
the
time
and
proximity
was
the
entire
reason
for
subscribing
to
that
location,
I
was
not
able
to
make
time
to
travel
to
another
location
to
satisfy
their
ridiculous
demands.
6
months
later
they
have
Aldous
and
Associates
trying
to
collect
$270
from
me
on
collections
as
if
none
of
this
took
place
and
they
did
not
misrepresent
their
offer
nor
confirm
my
cancellation
in
email.
I
took
the
time
to
call
Aldous
today
and
they
blatantly
admitted
to
knowledge
of
this
scam
by
continuously
repeating
that
the
new
Gold’s
Gym
contract
does
not
become
invalid
for
non-attendance.
So
these
people
have
modified
gym
contracts
post-Covid
to
be
able
to
charge
regardless
of
non-use
or
non-payment.
This
is
FRAUD
and
blatant
MISREPRESENTATION.
LET
THIS
BE
YOUR
WARNING
TO
STAY
AWAY
FROM
THIS
COMPANY.
If
this
has
also
happened
to
you,
we
may
have
a
class
action.
