I went to the facility for COVID test around 11.30 and wasn’t done until 8.05 pm. There was a person who was behind me and was done about two and half hours before me. I wasn’t provided with any treatment options, either. The doctor was with me for less than 3 minutes. In those three he spent about a 45 seconds on me to check my lungs and throat. Not a good experience.

The Sterling Patient First has to be one of the worst locations in the northern Virginia area. They have one of the most rudest front desks of any patient first I've ever been to set up an appointment. The moment you call this location, the person is so unprofessional and rude that you almost ask yourself whether you really want to go to this location. The next big issue is that they are never honest about the waiting time and you have to keep asking the front desk. They told me to wait for 20, and I ended up waiting for more than an hour. I asked the front desk staff multiple times and each time they kept lying about waiting time and continued to make excuses one after another. I would never ever recommend this location or even consider seeing any doctor there ever in the future.

This is my first time at a Patient First facility. I was very impressed by the cleanliness, efficiency and professionalism of the staff. Everyone I came in contact today, from the registration process through the doctor visit, was extremely kind and caring. Definitely gave bonus points for being able to fill my prescription on site! I will absolutely visit this facility again.

The wait was long which I expected but when I was called back I had another 20-30 min wait to see the doctor. Dr. Basharmal had no bedside manner, no empathy at all. He asked me one question after the other and hardly gave me time to respond fully to each one. I was in so much pain and this visit just made me more stressed. Even though the front staff, nurses, and x-ray technician (he was wonderful) were friendly, helpful, and pleasant, I did not have a good experience overall.

The best urgent care experience ever. The wait was short. We were in and out in just under 2 hours. The staff was so friendly and fast. I appreciate their attention to detail and care in an expeditious manner especially with having an infant with me.

I LOVE the convenience of Patient First and the efficient way all the staff run it. The support staff, nurses and doctors are super kind and knowledgeable and put me at ease each visit. The quick lab work results and the on site pharmacy are fantastic. I very highly recommend Patient First!! It’s a one stop shop deal and has helped me enormously!

Amber, the front desk lady, was super quick, efficient, and cute! The nice man who took my vitals was quick, efficient, and informative as well. The Doctor was also very nice, and answered all my questions. I felt very comfortable there, everyone was very nice despite it being very closed to closing time!

I recently visited this hospital with my wife for an eye check-up, and I must say the experience was quite pleasant. The front desk staff were very helpful in accepting our documents and completing the registration process smoothly. However, there was a slight wait time of around an hour before we could finally receive treatment. Once we were called in, the doctor conducted a thorough diagnosis of my wife's eye and recommended a saline eye wash to remove any residue of chemicals. The nurse who performed the wash was very gentle and attentive. The doctor then prescribed an eye cream and explained everything in detail. The overall staff was very polite and treated us well. I highly recommend this hospital for their professional and courteous staff, as well as their thorough and effective treatment.

Doctor ultimately gave me what I needed, but I wasn’t sure if he could r hear me or if he just wasn’t listening. He walked away while I was talking. He made comments that suggested he didn’t hear the first thing I said to him about my condition and what I was allergic to. The least you could do when someone is in distress and coming to you is slow down and listen. You might learn something about diseases you never heard of. And your patient will experience less distress. I was seen quickly, which was great. I just think the actual physician should slow down and act interested in what the patient is telling them. Sometimes the extra detail is very important. This is part of good patient care. I received the medication I needed and I feel better today. Ultimately that’s what matters most. I was in and out in less than 1/2 hour.

My first time with Patient First. No wait time. Very efficient check in process, even for first visit. Loved that the doctor could call up my medicine history. Caring doctor and staff. Got medicines right there. Was out in less than 30 minutes (will be less in future check-ins).

I am so impressed with this Patient First! The best Urgent Care that I have ever been to. The people are so nice, and they moved you right along, even though they were packed with sick patients. I was so impressed with their how fast they got me in and examined. The staff is top notch! Each person I saw was so concerned for all the sick people, and they were all so kind, especially the intake/cashier person. She was multi-tasking with answering the phone, handling people walking in and checking people out! She was so busy, yet she was so kind to everyone. I was really impressed.

This was hands down THE best experience I've ever had going to urgent care. I rarely go to the doctor except for routine care. And I typically never go to urgent care. So for the few times I have gone in the past I've always been very frustrated with the process and how long it takes. The staff at Patient First was top notch. Literally ever person I interacted with was pleasant, courteous and professional; almost to the point I would want to make it my primary care if that was an option lol. Seriously, I can not express how satisfied I am with my experience. Thank you!!

This location was great for many years after it opened. We used it extensively with our kids and ourselves for many years. I was impressed with the staff, the lack of wait times, and the entire business model - much better than standard doctor's office. Apparently the corporate side must be trying to make it more profitable. You rarely see a doctor anymore -- mostly PA's, which is usually fine, but my recent visit was with a PA that clearly didn't know what to do about the issue. They seem to have maybe 1 doctor working at any time? Used to be hardly a wait -- now you sit forever like every other doctor's office. I used to be a raving fan, now I'm pretty much done using Patient First.

We have moved to VA just recently, and I am very glad to find this clinic near our home. In my first visit yesterday, everyone working there is very nice and responsible, every step went well, better than I expected.

If I could give more stars I would! Thank you to the kind staff across the board who assisted me! My experience was hands down the best! I am new to the area so it’s always concerning to find great medical experts who will take me seriously and address my needs. Everyone was extremely kind, knowledgeable, good spirited, and helpful! The place is a one stop shop for urgent, PCP, and in house pharmacy! Super convenient! Thank you again!

I was having an allergic reaction, but I was in the early stages this time. Past reactions were so severe. The doctor prescribed steroids and gave new epi pins. My eyes were watery because I was scared. I thinking about my kids. I told the Doctor that an allergic reaction is like being under water trying to get to the surface on time. She gave me a hug and was very kind. Last reaction two years earlier, my oxygen level was still low after the epi. The patient first doctor said I wasn’t going to walk out of there and the patient first called the ambulance. For different steroids were given in the ambulance. The patient first doctor that time as well was smart—there was no rhythm on the screen in the ambulance. They kept calling Reston hospital each minute on the way there. The steroids kicked in till after arriving at the hospital. I am thankful to Patient First. I like how they care and give kindness and good treatment. I recommend Patient First for their kindness, their doctors and staff, their quick response in emergencies, and their willingness to help and put a patient first. Thank you. I send hugs and my appreciation.

Worst experience ever. I’ve been asked to wait in one of the room for 3 hours without even updating me what’s going on. The nurses and med assistants were so rude when I asked them it’s 7:30 and I’ve been here since 4:30, you are closing at 8 can you please advice when I can see a doctor? They simply replied no worries we will take care of you before we leave!!!! And you know she didn’t even look at me when she was saying these because they were very busy with their phones and joking with coworkers. Very impolite. I am wondering if there is a manager or supervisor there. The doctor and front desk ladies were nice.

Prepare to wait a very long time in the room for the dr. Even on a slow day 40 min to an hour is the usual while the nurses and drs are just chit chatting it up. Dirty ear cap on the floor and boogers on the wall. Fun

I've used Patient First over the last few months to get medical clearance to go oversees. They've been a great help and very responsive to any paperwork or follow up tests that I needed. The staff does an exceptional job especially considering the volume and variety of patients they see in a day. I've appreciated all their help and I would recommend them if you were in need of urgent care or in between doctors.

I felt safe and well cared for. I wasn't concerned about anything but explaining what had happened to me and what I needed. They did a wonderful job of stabilizing my foot and helping me with my next steps. It was a wonderful experience and I am glad to know where to go if I need urgent care.

It was a great experience from beginning to end. I could not have asked for a better experience. Staff was very caring and very professional as well as professionally dressed. The facility was very clean. I felt like they rolled out the red carpet, just for me. I would rate this facility #1 in urgent care!

Overall had a good experience here for an urgent care, everyone was pretty professional and efficient from the secretaries to the Dr. I like that they can fill your prescriptions right there too, instead of having to make another stop. I did have to wait a bit as they were pretty busy, but they were still quite efficient despite that.

The intake team was absolutely great. I am posting this because my experience was a complete box checking exercise. The Dr was not interested in hearing how I was actually feeling. It was apparent he made his mind up bc I didn’t have text book symptoms. My blood pressure was taken by the machine which was high, then a manual test was taken and the results were better. The Dr focused on the machine results and had another machine test taken. They were high and he told me I need to immediately get a home test to take everyday. I tried to talk to him about what was going on with my symptoms. His response was “you have a sore throat and focus on your blood pressure.” While I couldn’t get into my primary care today, I will never use Patient First again.

If you don't have insurance be prepared to dish out money for services and the billing the billing department is a mess with staff who have no idea what they are doing. I came for a tb screen but was told that I suddenly need a skin test instead of a screening. I have always had a screening and my situation has not changed that I would suddenly need a skin test. They could not give me a valid reason for this either other than to charge me a high fee compared to the price that they charge for a screening. Since I had to have this for work I didn't have time to go elsewhere. While here I get told I have a balance due from a workman's comp claim that was taken care of already but they claim that I owe them money. The workman's comp company sent them the payments last October 2022 so I don't know what happened with those payments. We are not giving them anymore money for this claim.

Every time I go to patient first, I am impressed with the attention of the staff. Literally everyone is friendly and efficient. The PA was very thorough and understanding. I felt heard. The wait time was very short. The person who took my blood did a great job. Some people have had problems taking my blood and have hurt or bruised me badly, but not at patient first. I am moving away soon and one thing I will miss is patient first. I don’t think anyone will be able to meet the high bar set by patient first.

I had a great experience at this facility. When I checked in with the receptionist she was courteous, kind & helpful. The nurse was fantastic. She explained the procedures she was doing to get me ready for my appointment & immediately ordered a much needed x-ray before seeing the doctor. The x-ray technician was kind, skilled & informative. The doctor had a great bedside manner, was respectful, courteous and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Patient First .

This location was so busy the day I went get the staff all remained, kind, professional, and sympathetic. They did a great job! I was even able to leave with my prescription to prevent a stop by the pharmacy on my way home.

The wait time can be unbelievable as long as 4 to 5 hours to see the provider. After waiting , the provider: Elisa Bell came and only spent 7-9 min and prescribed antibiotics that was too light for my case. She did not bother order X-ray or even care much. (Patient last not 1st) My 2nd visit was better with Dr Khodaidad. He gave me time and good attention and took time to explain everything to me. The 2 stars are for Khodaidad and the nurse.

  • 5/5 Sandeep K. 1 year ago on Google
The overall experience was good. All the nurse (including male) and the Xray technician were very courteous. I think I chose a busy day so the wait time was a bit more than I expected. I would definitely recommend this place.

Need more staff! wait times are long at least 2 hours to even get in a room. Employees are nice and doing all they can but management of this place needs to help them out! You need at least 3 to 4 doctors on staff to get people in and out at a good time. Management do better help you staff out!

Great efficient and effective facility. Polite staff always busy, no relaxing here, I worry about them, must be very tired when going home. Glad to see masking is still required. Doctor said he was required to ask if I was depressed, per computer on screen instructions. What a great question in this 2 plus years of the pandemic. My only minor complaint was that I spotted heavy dust in the exam room, the ceiling light fixtures. Great staff at Sterling facility in Virginia. 😀
