Excellent mexican food. Tasted amazing. Would totally recommend it to everyone. The food portions are pretty sumptous, and it will leave you satisfied. Service was on point too. All in all, it's a five from me.

Great Mexican food and we'll be back for more. My husband loves the food here, it's one of the closest to his mom's cooking, especially the Mexican rice, tortillas, and meat. We ordered the Fajita dinner for 4 with beef and chicken. The delivery was on time (Doordash), and the food was very tasty. I would have given them a 5 if not for the large number of raw onions (big chunks) that covered the fajitas and the overuse of onions in the guacamole.

I lived in the Reston area in the early 1990's. I was completely floored the Rio Grande Cafe was still at the Reston Town Center. That alone says volumes about the food. I had their signature Swirl cocktail which took me back through memory lane. What a treat. So happy to be back visiting even if it was for a few hours.

My go to place for steak fajitas with a side of guacamole and queso. Never gets old. Appreciate the steak is prepared rare. It’s gotta moo! Margaritas are great, my preference is with vino tinto. Keep up the good work. Enjoy the atmosphere and hanging out at the bar. 👊🥳👊🥳

Better waiter service. The food is pretty good. They’re some seating areas where the sun might cause some annoyance. But other than that the chefs cook good food.

So good~ could use some more seasoning, but overall still good! Loved how they gave chips and salsa just like if you were dining in…salsa had a smokiness to it and not spicy. Staff were nice and knowledgeable.

Great fajitas. Quick service. Fresh tortillas. We ordered the chicken fajitas, and loved it so we ordered another one. We also ordered the barbacoa fajitas, and it was good also. This place could be a five if they get rid of the broken furniture or fix them. Going back for the fajitas, and maybe try other entrees on the menu.

Ok taste of food, nothing special, little bit expensive but good service by young servers! We tried crispy tacos and bowl of rice with tortillas, didn’t like the taste much, for the price they serve, it could be lot better!!

The best way that I can describe this place is unremarkable food and expensive prices. The food is just not that good. It did not have a lot of taste. I knew I was in trouble when they brought over the sauce and the chips and a sausage just tasted like water. There was absolutely no flavor. Unfortunately they make up for this with higher prices. Although it wasn't a bad experience and the bartender was very friendly, it's just not a place that I would return to.

Great service; what we ordered was tasty. I ordered off appetizer menu. The churro dessert was kind of awful though. Don't waste money on that. I had a very tasty blood orange margarita...seasonal drink.

This place gets busy and advance booking is recommended. The quesdilla was the best we had. The order missed one order and food, The appetizer upped the ante, but, I was a bit disappointed with the food. But others loved it.

Now we're not going to talk about the new gringo salsa roja—it's gross. I've been coming to this location since RTC was pretty much nothing. The days when there was a dusty parking lot next door. This location is a cult favorite here in Fairfax and it's always delivered a good experience. The food is pretty much the same save for a few menu adjustments over the years. Well, many things left the menu after the debacle in 2020. This is one of the few restaurants that hasn't reduced portion sizes and they deserve a big fat A+ for that. Service can't be snarled at as the managers at this location hire very well. I'd definitely recommend that the managers who check in at every table also pitch in and help their servers. It's what any good manager would do.

Gabriel was our server and he was very professional, made great recommendations for food and drinks. He's a huge part of the reason why we'd return to this location.

We ate here for my grandmother's birthday and they were able to accommodate our big family party. The service was great and we didn't have to wait long for our food to come out. We got the chocolate pinata and it was the icing on the cake, so to speak 🪅 she loved it and everyone enjoyed the fruit and churros that fell out 😂 We'll be back! Thanks for the good time!!

While visiting from out of town I stopped at Uncle Julio’s for dinner and they did not disappoint. I got the steak fajitas. Everything was full of flavor and delicious. I will be back the next time I’m in the Reston area.

Very Attentive Staff. Friends. Food came out hot. Drink specials were good. Fast service. If going on a weekend would call in to make a reservation.

Pretty good food for the price and in a convenient location. By far my favorite thing was the Sangria Margarita swirl drink, it was really fantastic, I'd definitely go again just for one of those.

The Fajitas are so good! Our waiter was fantastic and very cordial to us. The food came out so fast it was like we ordered it before we arrived! The seasonings of our fajitas were the best I have ever eaten! This is where you want to eat if you enjoy Mexican food!

Nothing but 5 stars for me 🙌 It was a lot of fun watching the playoff game and relaxing after my workout. I highly recommend you try out the handmade tableside guacamole 😉🥑 Many thanks to the amazing staff and management team for providing a good experience. I'll be back soon to watch the finals! 🏀

Tex-Mex Combination dinner! Portions were generous and sauces really worked well with the enchiladas. Variety in the meal was good. We will be back! :-)

Had the steak and chicken fajitas. It was good and the chipotle salsa was also delicious. I did ask for my steak medium rare and it came out as well done. Still good though.

The food was amazing and that's coming from a Texan who only eats tex Mex. There was a dessert I wish we had more people for but still very delicious

It had been years since I've had the chance to eat at this restaurant. Happy to say the quality of the food is just as good as before. Fresh made tortillas, nicely seasoned dishes, and large-ish portions make for a great meal. It is not a quiet place, so keep that in mind. Not a big deal, just the type of restaurant made for having a good time.
