Shopping at this location and being African-American is like having a target on your back. Don’t dress comfortably. Because sales associates look at you like your trash! I’ve experienced this numerous times to the point where I have been dismissed by employees! From the fragrance counters to the purses to clothing you name it. Very few associates will even acknowledge your presence. If you shop here don’t be expected to be treated with dignity or respect. Get in and get out! I prefer to shop online but there are rare times where I would like to see something in person and I’m always appalled at the treatment I experience. So to ensure no one receives commission on my dollar I go home and order online!

The gentleman helping me must have seen me coming a mile away. Lol I felt as though I was the only customer in the store. He ensured everything I wanted I had before I left. Even though I felt like I was monopolizing his time he ensure me that wasn’t the case. He was very attentive and well informed.

In search for formal dinner plates set collection and this place has the best and elegant pieces. Lots of choices to choose from. Free coffee , hot cocoa and cookies while shopping. And they have a Santa booth if your family wants to have a picture with Santa.

Outstanding service! Neiman Marcus always impresses me with its commitment to providing top notch customer service! I was in sneakers and a t-shirt (flight delayed at nearby Dulles). Despite my disheveled appearance, they graciously approached and offered assistance. I laughed about looking so rumpled. Rosetta put me at ease and helped me with my purchases. She chatted and couldn't have been nicer. The NM Cafe helped me by taking care of my suitcase and settling me in for a lovely, delicious lunch. The entire staff works as a team to take care of their guests. Well done, NM! Thanks for a lovely shopping experience!

Perfume section is the worst and most aggressive personnel. Recently received a magazine which includes new scents to include Mind Games. Thought it would be a great idea to go in the store and get a sample so I can wear it, to see how it worked with my day to day movement and to see if this was a good investment. Mind you I have multiple Mind Games perfume. Yep, there was an entire new collection and after smelling them one stood out Queening. The lady tried to force me to purchase the sample $545 telling me there was only 2 in stock. Why would I purchase the entire collection when I only prefer one scent? Asked if there was any sample and she clearly walked away and stood behind the counter. I walked out of there with Creed Carmina (kudos) to the salesperson who represented the brand well. As much I wanted to purchase Queening I would never put an ounce of commission in that lady pocket. Rude and condescending . Update: Manager Tasha reached out. Thank you! Best variety of perfume, but I don't like how the associates try to shove the scents in your face to try. I try not to go too close to that section if I am not purchasing perfumes. The shoe department associates are so helpful and friendly. If you can't get in the designer store because of no appointments or long lines, just go check out the sections in Neiman most of the time you can easily find the same items there.

Fun to walk through but the clothing here leaves something to be desired. They do have little corners of the store that have beautiful timeless and high quality clothes but it is mostly focused on trendy street clothes. They only have big name brands and are missing many smaller couture brands.

Great but small selection of pre-owned neo-vintage and vintage watches. Vacheron, Patek, JLC, Rolex etc... When asked if watches here come with box or papers, the sales lady here says that they don't and older watches thats 20+ years old don't come with papers when sold back in the days (Entirely not true whatsoever) Neiman Marcus, you probably should train your sales people a bit more about vintage watches if you're going to sell them as consignment. If they don't know the answer, they shouldn't pretend like they do.

Neiman Marcus in the Galleria at Tysons, McLean VA is an upscale luxury fashion department store. The store is enormous! The men’s section is subdivided by featured designer brands, styles and trims such as Burberry and Prada. The staff is helpful.

My favorite place to have a quick lunch and cocktail, while shopping! The customer service is always beyond. Always find the latest & greatest fashion/fragrances… My happy place indeed

I found a fantastic Fragrance Guru, Kristy exceeded my expectations. Felt comfortable strolling around the counters with her without any pressure. She let me have fun and listened to what I was looking for. I tried things on without being overwhelmed with too many aromas. I had a lot of fun, most importantly I left with 4 equally beautiful, unique, and complex fragrances. I will visit Neiman Marcus more often, thank you Kristy.

Placed order 12/12 with quickest shipping speed. Did not receive order. Was disconnected from the telephone number for CS multiple time (they said they were having phone issues). On 12/17 called 9 times before being connected long enough to have them verify all of my information. I was told it was a problem with the first name for the delivery being two characters . I then asked when the order would ship and the lady was very rude so I requested a supervisor. Held for another 20 minutes. Supervisor acknowledged there should not have been a problem with the first name being two characters but could not also tell me when my order was going to ship. I had the order canceled because during the extended time on hold with Neiman Marcus I was able to successfully place my order with their fine department store competitor and telephone them on another line where they voluntarily, generously offered to refund my overnight shipping charges with them due to my difficulty with Neiman Marcus, provided a tracking number, and verified the order will be received by 12/20 —their customer service so close to Christmas got my attention in a much different way than Neiman Marcus. Neiman Marcus customer service has continued to decline in recent years and it is disappointing because I grew up shopping with them in Dallas. I didn’t need to pay for overnight shipping when I placed my initial order on 12/12, but did to avoid dealing with tracking items down the week of Christmas which Neiman Marcus has placed me in the uncomfortable position of doing this Christmas week as I prepare to host over a dozen guests in our second home. Do not get me started on my shoe experience last spring. Very disappointed.

We had lunch at this over priced sandwich shop. Service was slow but polite. Still another example of more is less. Overly generous sandwiches too thick to consume if you have a normal sized mouth. Both people in our party had to deconstruct their sandwiches in order to eat them. Drop the price of the $19 club sandwich a dollar and take off about half the ingredients and you will have a better product.

I think Neiman Marcus excels in customer service. I needed a few items from different manufacturers in the make up counter. Umida Isralova has been my person for over 5 years. She lets me know of upcoming events, helps me choose new products and fragrances, and takes me from counter to counter to get what I need. Her service and follow-up is impeccable. No other store offers this service. It makes shopping a pleasure.

Horrible customer service experience. I purchase a pair of $500 Sunglasses as a gift for someone and for some reason the employee assisting me, who I told this purchase was a gift, sold me the pair shown in the pictures below. I assumed I was buying a brand new pair since I was paying the brand new pair price, apparently the employee thought it was appropriate to put this item in a bag and hand it to me with no second thought of concern. I returned 10 minutes later after I opened the bag and saw the item for myself, and I was met with a very non chalant attitude and no apology. Apparently these were sold to me because they were the last pair in the store? Which still makes zero sense because it takes nothing to order a new pair for me and to overall just mention that in general. When I made a complaint a few days later and came in to get the new pair I ordered, I showed the manager exactly what is shown in these pictures and she acted as if she couldn’t see the scratches at first, and then gave a very dry apology. Overall terrible experience, Do better.

Was treated rudely and dismissively by the ladies in the L'agence and Mother jeans section of the store. I asked for advice on fit of pants and was told they didn't have any suggestions and after about 20 minutes of trying on items that I found myself and put back, I almost had to beg to purchase one top. Giving 2 stars because other departments have very helpful salespeople.

I know it is not NEIMAN Marcus problem but I got this perfume for $360, I was convinced by the employee’s it will last forever but the perfume doesn’t last for 2 minutes. What a waste of money, if NEIMAN Marcus allowed returning perfume opened this will be one. Worst perfume by far.

Kathy Leigh is kind, classy, and lovely lady. Anytime I shop at my favorite store she is British with common sense. The best attribute I like about her is she lets me give her a hug. She is simply like Audrey Hepburn and goes beyond. I just want to let Neiman Marcus know she is an asset to the company. She’s simply British and my kind of human. She’s a 5 star.

Always a flawless experience. The cosmetics team is helpful without being aggressive and the men’s store staff is knowledgeable and kind. Love the cafe.

Very low tech fulfillment. Pretty shocked that in 2023, you have to go through several lines of communication to switch an order from pick up to ship, only to be told it’s not possible. Store hours are limited, this should be an easy fix. Allegedly their text messaging system and email system are meant to help solve the problem more efficiently, but that ended up taking over an hour, total bottle neck. Customer service was not able to do anything either, after spending a lot of time on hold. Tremendously inefficient and shocking for luxury service. If you do go in person, prepare to be aggressively upsold and pitched a credit card at every turn. Every single sales person on the cosmetics floor descends on you and it is an extremely uncomfortable experience. I am really astounded at how old-fashioned in a bad way this entire shopping experience is. No agility, very dated approach to selling, no understanding of how modern luxury shopping should be. I don't shop here for clothes or accessories, but this review is for curbside pickup and online pickup for home goods ONLY. I placed an order for a vase which took almost two weeks to confirm delivery and pickup to/from the store. My order was for glass so I didn't want to chance a home delivery. I had to call them twice because their online system didn't update my order status. After speaking to an agent, I was told that the pickup department must validate the condition of delivery. In this case, I understand because it is glass. Upon the second call they informed me I was clear to pick it up. When I get there, the vase is in a box within a box. This means they never verified the condition and the glass could have very well been broken inside. This also means I could have picked it up earlier and finally this means there is no quality control. Luckily I opened tht box onsite and everything was fine. They need to work on this or sync up their online features with the stores. If I have to order from them again which is hardly ever, I'll just make sure I have everything sent to my house. If the vase wasn't so pretty, I would have given them 1 star.

Needed a dress last minute for a family wedding. Judy, the saleswoman who helped me on level one, was incredibly kind and helpful. This is a high end store so the prices were more than I wanted to spend.

The store is clean. Allot of security presence which is alarming some but only on second floor which was odd. Some of the Customer Service Attendants were attentive and some were on phones and too bothered to assist. Allot of the items of my choosing where not in stock, nor many sizes nor colors. Mall brand stores such as Versace; etc closes at 6PM on weekdays. Neiman Marcus closes at 7PM. So if you decide to come after work or after traffic has died - don’t bother unless you plan on just grabbing a bite to eat.

I went here to check out their Fragrance department, not expecting much. I was truly surprised. They carry a plethora of designer brands, but the true winner is their collection of niche lines and the brand ambassadors that showcase them. They had a full collection of almost all major niche and independent fragrances houses in floor space that is double what a normal Macy’s would use to house standard designer lines. I was helped by Rosanna, who was incredibly helpful. She went above and beyond, spending extra time with me and walking me through most of the store to introduce different items I might be interested in. When shopping retail, I fully intend to make this my only destination for major purchases. Well done.

Horrifying experience!!!!!!!!!!!! I went to test Tom Ford's new perfume. My original sales person (Kay) was lovely. She compared scents with me, educated me on her favorites, and provided me options with similar scent profiles. Not being sure of which one I loved, she kindly gave me her business card and told me to call her if I need further assistance. I left, did a lap around the mall and deciding on the $400 Tom Ford scent. When I arrived to the store, the counter was unattended so I patiently waited to be helped. A sales associate looked at me, proceeded to NOT assist and fixed her lipstick in the mirror instead. After being ignored for several moments, I politely approached her and said, "excuse me." She aggressively responded to me with "What do you want?" In shock and confused, I asked to speak to Kay. After confirming Kay was on lunch I chose to leave, embarrassed at the encounter. Once the interaction settled in, I decided to purchase the perfume at Saks. I later returned to Nieman's to report the incident to Kay and a manager. NEVER have I been spoken to in such a manor. I was horrified! As a younger presenting woman that is also multiracial, it's hard to not feel some discrimination was involved. Disappointed!
