    I am still trying to get them to stop trying to charge me for a membership I canceled. I had to change my credit card and put a stop payment on my checking account. They won't even acknowledge me! Stay away from One Life Fitness!

    I had the same contract for years with no problems but this year they charged me extra on the exact same contract. I received an extra charge on my card in December. Like the other posts here, they did this without my consent. I contacted them by email to dispute this, and after a couple of emails back and forth, they ignored me and refused to answer my questions. I filed a complaint with the BBB and they refused to answer the complaint. These people are crooks. Do not do business with them or their gyms.

    They over charged me three times then has the audacity to try and tell me their one of the charges is an overdue balance in my account !! Appalled at this HOPE person who sent me an email! My own credit union and THEIR own facility confirmed the extra charges ! I left planet fitness for this ??

    This company is terrible. My experience at ONELIFE BALLSTON IS as below: Just do not. Painful. Just do not. Have been a member since 2009 and watched it grow and fail. I think the most blaring problem is when you tell them one day a treadmill stopped suddenly on you going 6 mph and you almost get thrown off because of the stop, and the next day you go back and there is NO "NOT FUNCTIONING" sign on the same treadmill and no email following up "the ticket they put in" it is now fixed. It is very scary. I would watch their equipment as this could result in serious injury. Watch your account with them. I was overcharged for a half year because of their mistake a year ago. They did refund but I had to catch THEM not doing their job. The cleanliness of the locker room is sometimes sad. I have found fried chicken in the same locker and hairballs in the shower stall for several days on end even after complaining over several emails. You would think the manager would walk over to the shower or locker and clean it up after a few emails. But they do not. When and if you do complain, be careful, the management will make you feel like YOU are the problem. But it is them. I have lived around the world literally and been a member at umpteen clubs and this one... by far the worst in management. They are also overun. I have parted ways with them because I just could not risk being thrown off the treadmill anymore.

    Edit : Turns out that that despite the 24 hour failed turn around time, they are rather attentive. It's probably due to staffing (thanks covid). They handled my cancellation within the terms of service, no problem. Thus, the review has raised from a 1 to a 4 star. Yes the company reached out to me via email for the cancellation and the follow up to make sure that I was notified. I recommend that they have a human being able to answer the phone (as the number is still listed but goes straight to voicemail), as well as give realistic timeframes in their automated emails. Total response time to cancellation was about 48 hours, which wasn't bad, but was outside of the 24 hour advertised timeline. Prior: I signed up for oneline fitness in good faith. Turns out I was signing up for this mess by proxy. Now that I'm past my 1 year, I can quit. But now I'm stuck between a phone number that only leads to a voicemail and an email box that lies about acting on emails within 24 hours. You people have my email, phone number, and address. I would love an excuse to change this review.

    have the same problem with customer support. I requested membership cancellation by email on October 14th and have written confirmation that they received my request. On November 1st they tried to charge my credit card again but I closed it prior as I knew it will happen. Now they are saying that I have an outstanding balance. I tried to call them several times. No answer. Very poor customer support.

    this place have been charging my card without my consent, I've never had heard about it until money started to be withdrawn from my bank account. I call them and they don't pick up the phone.

    I have never visited this place or know ANYTHING about them. So I am not sure how they got my card info! Please dispute this with your bank. Let your bank know that other people experience this problem.

    My refund was approved by the manager, Bill Makrigiorgos, in writing (he failed to cancel it timely -- his error). It has been about 1.5 years since the refund was approved. After numerous of communications and attempts to resolve this, I'm extremely disappointed. Hopefully, this comment will draw the company's attention to the issue at hand and help the company resolve it.

    I never stepped a foot in their Gyms since February 2020, but they periodically sneak charges on my credit card, even after I asked by email to freeze my account and they agreed to this by email. I give a one star because there is no option for zero stars.

    Onelife is owned by this company, they have charged me in excess of $1000 (usd) since I have quit their gym, I have sent 4 email, numerous phone calls, nothing has stopped these fraudulent charges. Need exercise, run from this company

    Good gyms ( like onelife) until you have to do anything with the corporate office or account change. I called multiple times asking to change the status of my account. Customer service said it was fix, but they still charge me.

    This company charged my credit card without my consent! I have not heard from them and I certainly did not give consent to this company to use my credit card to any purposes and charges. They cannot be reached via the phone as their phone service option is hideous and gives virtually no clue about how to speak with a live person or who to turn to for questions / concerns. They do not provide any valid channels for proper communication. Beware.

    The Alexandria gym is poorly maintained. The TV software broke years ago. I've asked many times to have it repaired/ reprogrammed restored. I was told the IT guys just need to do something w/ the software to pick up the dropped TV channels. It would not cost money. US Fitness refuses to make repairs. Broken equipment is not fixed; the cleaning is poor; the staff are sales people, not fitness people. Why no improvements?
