Hospital and equipment supplies

😠 Absolute disgrace of a company. Paid 49.90 for 2 weeks, was forced to cancel after 2 days because there tv was broken and then was only refunded £30, I didn't pay £10 per day initially but when it needs cancelling at there own fault I am charged at that price. I don't know how you sleep at night kn... People often mention service, hospital, company, days, people, message,

This company made over £14 million in revenue and almost £1 million profit in 2020 directly from ill patients having to pay for tv and films. The selection on netflix and amazon is infinitely larger but hospedia still have the audacity to charge approximately 10 times the price. Their tvs are old and use 480p resolution and their interface is based on firefox embedded onto linux. This company also use microsoft publisher/word/powerpoint to design their on screen pop up adverts- clearly not very professional.

I don't know how you sleep at night knowing you are practically robbing people who are in enough distress already! I hope you go out of business and get replaced by a company that actually has a bit of compassion and customer service skills.

STAY WELL CLEAR! Even one star is overrated for this cowboy outfit. Bought a three day TV subscription at Addenbrookes Hospital /Cambridge . Tried to switch it off in the evening but only the display went off. Sound continued blaring. All buttons non-responsive. Could not sleep the whole night. Next day no service personnel available. Now I have wasted all three days without being able to watch TV. Haven't been reimbursed

Equipment is cheaply made and the screen quality is appalling. Cost is beyond a ripoff. Interface is clunky and speaker quality is appalling. One star is one star too many! How dare the NHS sell out to these pirates. I guess they receive income from them but hopefully not for much longer. I guess they had a captive audience until smart phones came along so now most just appear to be unused on the ward I'm on. I did not even consider paying for this terrible service.

Overpriced, inferior service with non existent customer service. Lack of service severely affected well being and recuperation of patient. Television is so important for some patients to relieve the tedium of the day and provide some distraction. Unfortunately, this company has the monopoly, although I’m sure that they expressed good customer service and targets when bidding for the franchise.

It's is honestly one of the most unethical, money grabbing, savage examples of extortion I have ever come across in Europe. I was in hospital for 30 days and for me to watch normal TV, that is broadcast free to me as a TV licence holder, they would like £300 per month. When I have a one day trail to see how it worked and payed £10 for the privladge the tv was unviewable due to grey lines consuming the screen. When I complained to Hospedia (at a premium rate number from my mobile) I was essentially told by some smug fat cat that ' I should have read the small print and that if ' I snooze, I loose' read everything first. After obviously not using the service again I woke up every morning to the screen blasting adverts in my face for the special offers of the day including one day of watching England cricket for '£20' . Funly enough I had been lucky enough to go to Edgbaston a couple of weeks ago to watch England live and it cos me '£27' for a front row seat. These people are dragging the beautiful message and philosophy of the NHS into the sludge and they have no place in public hospitals while they charge such disperportionate prices and will not let the hospital user switch them off in case they miss an advert. People say OFCOM should be onto these people, I take the blame closer and say whoever is offering the contracts to these crooks , can only be crooks themselves. We have a beautiful inclusive system where we seperate profit from medical care better than anyone else in the world. Do not let these leaches ruin a system that bring happiness, heath and life saving treatment to millions at no cost. Save our NHS from profiteering sharks.

Whipps X experience. Aug17. They charged my disabled brother £20.00 for a 3 day Tv card, when they already knew the tv was not working for over 7 days.(the tv sends fault codes to head office). Still trying to get refund a month later . And no notice on tv to warn others . Scammers abusing the vunerable. Disgrace.

I agree with the other reviewers. My father is in hospital , he is 90 years old and doesn’t use a smart phone or computer but likes watching tv. This rip-off service charges c.£20 for 3days access to freeview, and the tv picture is awful. It also gives you a phone line, but anyone calling it is charged a premium rate. They have a captive audience of old & sick people and are milking them dry. They are totally unscrupulous and taking advantage of old people when they are sick. Why does the NHS allow this to happen!!?

None of the machines seem to work to buy cards at RSCH, which is fairly significant since the phone bit didn't work on the unit so couldn't buy in that way. Had to phone the helpline number on my mobile to be told there was a fault on the phone, but if the machines were working, could have bought a card to shove in their stupidly expensive TV bit. It's really rubbish if you are trying to help someone get some TV while stuck in hospital (which is only free on 'normal' channels from 8AM to 12 noon which is frankly shocking). Hope once RSCH gets revamped they just stick an aerial on the roof, get freeview and ditch this rip-off company who for some reason has some kind of monopoly on all this yet who can't even be bothered to maintain their equipment properly.

It's astonishing that hospitals still have the new to try and charge for this service. Totally dysfunctional and impossibly overpriced.

Paid for the £5 package or so I thought. Message came up on the screen to remove the message, did that received another message saying Whoops something had gone wrong. So tried again. Then with some help from a hospital staff member I found I had paid 2 lots of £5. I was only in for one night so would not have purchased for 2 days. I tried ringing the number on the Hospedia website but had to leave a message as I wanted the 2nd payment cancelled. Left a message last night 16/1/24 at 21:13 and rang again this morning 17/1/24 at 09:38 message left. No reply yet and the 2nd £5 will take effect from12pm. I will not be watching anything as I’m waiting to be discharged, plus what I watched last night you couldn’t see the picture it was so dark. Then there was no sound. I can see from the other review you are expected to wear headphones. I could see you could get headphones from the nurse but it doesn’t say you have to use headphones!!!! I was I. A side room on my own so shouldn’t have needed headphones. They will probably wait for 12pm before getting in contact with me, if they do!!!

Touchscreen barely works. Basic functionality missing. Feels like Windows XP performance, can't keep up with high definition adverts which is ironic. Non media functionality such as food ordering is from the dark ages. Can't even review what you've ordered for the day. 20+ year outdated menu design. From what looks like Windows 98. Minimal help or support provided to the good Hospital staff that have better things to do.

What a joke these people are, we’re in hospital with our newborn, he’s contently watching a child’s film and then the sound goes! Apparently the hospital want us to use earphones now, in a private side room! Since when does a 3 month old wear earphones, 30 mins of screaming later, I’m so happy I brought my iPad. I’ll never spend another penny with this rip off company, £7.50 for 24 hrs of family tv, actually = 12 hours of actual sound playing tv. The picture I’ve uploaded is by far the best way to use this waste of space and money.
