The scenery is stunning, and the café is nice, they have home baking done daily, amazing coffee, and lovely service. But then the visit to the Westport lake café is worth it just for the view alone.

Lots of walks, at least two lakes, playgrounds, canal walk, great cafe and friendly staff. Was a miserable wet day for us but we still enjoyed so would be even nicer on a sunny day. Also barges selling refreshments even in the rain

A good place to walk the dog for an hour or so. Visitor centre is clean and offers good selection of food and drink and has a balcony at the back with views over the lake. Dog friendly, so well behaved dogs allowed inside (or on balcony). Well maintained paths and plenty of bins etc. Parking can sometimes be an issue and has to be paid for, but cost is low.

A large lake with a smaller lake and ponds, every walking area is on the flat. Children's playgrounds are great for children of all ages. Food available in the café or oatcake barge on the canal at weekends.

The park rangers have done an excellent job of tidying the walk around the lake. There's an abundance of birds with geese, ducks, coots and moorhens. Usually one can purchase feed for the birds although the public have been asked not to feed at the moment due to the current outbreak of bird flu. The cafe overlooking the lake serves a lovely variety of snacks and drinks, very welcome after a walk around the lake.

This is a great place for evening leisure. Flocks and flocks of ducks are a cynosure. I loved the sunset. There's ample space for parking with a little charge! It is better to carry your own snacks!

Really nice easy walk around the lake with the visitor centre for a stop off for tea and cake.. all this is jaded by the greedy council now banging up pay meters for parking there..

Lovely nature reserve with a great diversity of plants and birdlife. An outdoor centre offers bike/trike hire and the visitor centre/cafe offers a good selection of quality food and drinks, including the local speciality, Staffordshire oatcakes! Ice creams are available and don't forget a box of duck+goose food!

Lovely nature reserve. Safe to walk. Great coffee shop staffed by friendly volunteers. Shame the council feel the need to add car park charges. May never visit again. Sad days

Nice cafe with balcony overlooking the lake, good food and drinks at reasonable prices. There's a nice walk around the lake where you can see the various ducks, geese and swans. There's also bike hire and a canal pathway is adjacent to the lake. Well worth a visit if you are in the area, or must be a great place for the locals.

Hidden gem, high quality footpath around the perimeter and a great visitor centre/cafe. Will come back and explore the conservation paths next time.

We had a lovely few hours in this beautiful place. We enjoyed some oatcakes and a drink in the visitors centre and had a leisurely walk around the lake. It was clean and I didn't spot any litter whatsoever.

The cafe is great, always stop here when on a walk/bike ride/run. Cakes are delicious and the money goes towards wildlife in Staffordshire. Such a shame the car park moneys don't go to the wildlife trust but to the council instead.

Lovely place. Well looked after but not to the detriment of the natural space. Paths all around the lake, accessible for wheelchairs and bike/wheelchair hire is available. Lots of wildlife, swans, geese, ducks and more. Off the path, wilder nature reserves can be explored. Picnic benches around the lake and a lovely cafe in the shape of an arc offering a variety of cakes and savoury snacks, eat inside, takeaway, or sit on the balcony overlooking the lake. Also adjacent to the canal if you want to walk further afield. Children's playground, ice cream van, and dogs allowed on leads to respect the wildlife and nesting birds. What more could you want? 🥰

What a beautifully built visitor centre & kind to the planet. Stunning views & the business offers a great service & menu Staff worked really hard and was helpful. Extremely disappointed with all the information walls being covered mainly by stock I was really excited to learn more I don’t understand why you have these really amazing information plaques if they are all covered maybe move the plaques to the outside walls or around the bare walled conference room and make that accessible to public to read the information I appreciate the business makes the money to keep it open but this is not really well thought out

It was a nice place to be with a great view and a lovely selection of food and drinks! Really recommend stopping by for some tea or coffee whilst watching the ducks when you next drop by at Wesport Lake! 😁

Lovely tarmaced path walk around a large lake. Also has a visitor centre you can purchase gifts, souvenirs, food and drink. A little charity sponsored bike hire with cheap to hire interesting bikes and ride ons (they seem to facilitate for people with physical disabilities as well as their main USP). Toilet facilities, pretty adequately sized car park (£1 for an hour £1.50 for 3 hours or £3 for 24 hours) you can pay cash, card or via the app. Everywhere seems pretty accessible for prams and wheelchairs etc. The paths can get quite muddy so you need to be prepared with towels and good footwear during autumn and winter. They've recently renewed the play area and there really is something out there for all ages except maybe the youngest of children which I would think the ride on and swings would only be suitable. Although we had a 1 year old, 6 year old and 9 year old and it kept them all entertained for a good while and we only came away as it became a little too cool and windy. All in all a lovely almost free (except car parking) afternoon out.

Nice view from the balcony, no vegan options food-wise and a request for a decaf latte, with oat milk and a soya latte confused them despite them saying that oat milk soya milk and decaf were all available options. For non vegans it's handy to go for a snack before or after a walk and there are toilets.

Nice walk around Westport Lake, good access for wheelchair or mobility scooter. Loads of water fowl, Malards, Canada Geese, Swans, Coots and Water Hens, plenty of fishermen on the bank but there is no day ticket fishing as you need to be a member to fish here.

Great place. Went in for a hot chocolate on a very cold day. Couldn't resist a slice of cake too! Good choice of food including oatcakes! Very clean throughout including the toilets and the staff were efficient and pleasant. Well done 👏🏼

Excellent outdoor experience. Thank you for not putting car parking charges on here yet! Lovely cafe, lovely drinks and food which you can take outside to eat. The cafe was very clean and well run, masks were worn by staff and it felt very safe. Wonderful family friendly place.

I really like this place. Small little cafe and a nice walk that is good for kids. The staff are knowledgable about wildlife and provide great advice on other walks that are good for kids.

Great place to bring many ages. Good café. Good playground and lovely lake to walk round.

Everything you need for a relaxing time. A couple of beautiful lakes to walk round, a kids play area, coffee shop with views over the lake, and restrooms. There's even a child-friendly maze where the height of the bushes is low enough that parents can keep an eye out and the younger children don't feel lost. The cafe serves hot and cold food to suit most tastes, and delicious selection of cakes for a treat.

I love this place. So many childhood memories. The cafe has a lovely warm welcoming atmosphere. Cakes are amazing. View and people watching is great.

A well kept visitors park, something for everyone, haven't been in a while,, a new thing available I noticed was a bike like a tandem for 2 or 3 people.. think these are hired out by you by a shop on site, don't know how much the cost is and for how long, may have a go when i visit next time with a friend 👍
