Good food, the lamb sauce was delicious, the lamb was cooked very nice, the vegetables could get a bit more love, but they were good. I was impressed with the white bait and the Belgian chocolate was fantastic. Overall 5 stars.

From the start of this experience was flawless. Charlotte the lady who was front of house/waitress called us to confirm the reservation I made online. When we arrived we were seated within minutes despite it being busy, we were made to feel special and well catered too the whole time. Service was fast, all the flavours on every dish we had tonight complimented each other rigorously. I had the French onion soup, my partner tried the Duck pâté. For mains we had Beef bourguignon and also the Pork with crackling, dauphinoise potatoes, vegetables with a apple cream sauce (it wasn’t overpowering whatsoever) We shared a sticky toffee pudding and went straight home to relax because we felt so satisfied! 100% will be returning again, visited the first time years ago and still just as consistently of the highest standard. Once again thank you to the all the staff for a wonderful night and lovely atmosphere!

Had my wife's lunch birthday here (despite she is not in the UK for now). The 2 set course meal is a must for better savings (you can have the main, paired with either starters or dessert). Here's what I had: Starter: WILD MUSHROOMS & BRIOCHE - tasty mushrooms and tomatoes, good combination of cream Main: CHICKEN & BACON FRICASSÉE - delicious bacon and leek sauce makes the wonder, best paired with chicken and rice when mixing them all together Dessert: LEMON TART - a standard lemon tart lol (thank you for putting up a candle for my wife's birthday) I enjoyed the ambience and lovely service there and will look forward to trying their Sunday roasts soon.

The most amazing birthday meal out! We had a chorizo and honey starter, and then for mains we had linguine and mussels. A real lovely local atmosphere, our server went above and beyond for us, being super polite and telling us all the options we had. We could definitely tell the food is authentic and fresh. Will definitely be returning and would recommend to anyone for something different in Nottingham.

Great place for a meet up with friends. We were treated with patience and interest by the waitress, making us feel welcome and at ease. Very good food,tasty and fresh, good quality ingredients. I recommend wholeheartedly. Easy free parking across the road at Winchester Street car park.

We went for lunch and the vegan food we had was so tasty and filling! I highly recommend coming here, they cater for pretty much everyone, are so polite, friendly, great food and we will definitely be going back.

I recently dined at this French cuisine restaurant, and while the food was average, the atmosphere truly stole the show. The ambiance transported me to a charming Parisian bistro with its warm lighting and cozy decor. It was the kind of place where you could lose track of time while sipping wine and enjoying good company. Although the dishes didn't quite reach culinary excellence, the overall experience was pleasant, making it a lovely spot for a relaxed evening out. 🍷🇫🇷😊

We had an amazing meal here on Sunday. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was wonderful. This was a birthday treat for my husband and we can't recommend it highly enough. A great all round experience.

The meal we had here at le mistral was absolutely amazing. Cooked to perfection and the quality was top notch. The service was great and they fit us in very last minute as well. Would highly recommend to anyone eating out in sherwood area and it’s worth the travel from around Nottingham! Charlotte provided the best service I’ve had, ever. What a brilliant experience. We've been to Le Mistral a few times before, but not since lockdown. Having tired of bbq food in the heatwave, we wandered into Sherwood with no destination in mind. Le Mistral seems always busy, but they squeezed us in - and we're glad they did. Foodwise we'd chosen Bouillabasse and Moules Marinieres before the waitress drew our attention to the specials board. "Steamed mussels in creamy coconut, chilli and coriander sauce" was on offer and I switched to this. An exquisite dish, full of delicate flavours that allowed the mussels to sing. A vague hint of south-east Asia which was intoxicating. Service is reassuringly friendly and clearly a knowledgeable guide to choosing what suits you best. By now, you'll have gathered that we really enjoyed our impromptu meal out and thoroughly recommend Le Mistral.

Very friendly, and attentive staff. The food is delicious. The restaurant has a wide range of choices for various dietary requirements, including vegetarian and vegan, all of which are delicious. The beat thing, for me, is the daily specials they have that make the choice of what to have when there even more broad. The only 'downside' of the restaurant is the decision paralysis one gets when weighing up which of the many delicious options to choose from.

What a really nice place, very easy to walk past, if you are not looking for it. It's truly a hidden gem. The food is superb and the service is always with a big smile. What more do you need. Highly recommended.

The lamb shank was nice, a bit more veg would have been welcomed. The puddings should be avoided at all cost as the portion size is ridiculously small. I had the lemon tart, and it was literally the length of a fork and about three fingers in width at it's widest point. It's probably the worst £7 I've ever spent, I'd still have felt ripped off if I'd only paid £3 for it. Just glad I didn't go with the Belgian chocolate torte, as that looks to be about the same diameter as a toilet roll! I'll order again, but will definitely stick to main courses only!

Nice little French restaurant amongst the bevy of eatereries in Sherwood. A two course fixed price lunch at £12.95. Was all nicely presented and very tasty. Also do a traditional Sunday lunch which I intend to try.

Brilliant food, outstanding service and our hosts were second to none. Nothing was too much trouble for them, even helping out Ian with reading the menu (27th September Ian had cataract surgery on eye). We loved this restaurant and have been many times AND we will be back soon 😀 🧡🍾 promise 😀 😉 ❤️

It was lovely to return to Le Mistral after such a long time, obviously because of the 'lockdown'. Front of House - Charlotte- was amazing. Lovely personality & knew what she was doing, Charlotte kept everyone in the restaurant happy. The atmosphere friendly & relaxed.The food was as good as ever. Will be back for more - thank you.

Nice food. Good selection of hot and cold meals and snacks. ££ a bit pricey especially the wine. Quick service, waiter slightly too intrusive for my liking.

Love this place. Charlotte is amazing, so attentive and friendly. The food is excellent but the service from Charlotte just tops off the experience. A lovely place to go day or night. Charlottes service stands out from the rest in Nottingham. It’s refreshing to find a place that cares about its diners x
