Very nice tapas restaurant. I've never seen so many gluten free options and they had lots of options for vegetarians too. The food was tasty and they had good portion sizes. Their cocktail list was massive - all different and fantastic.

Not the place it used to be, tired and feels like they're just going through the motions to get your money. To start 30 quid bottle of white wine came served at room temperature (refused it) our finished nibbles plate was left on the corner of our table all evening, waitress wearing grungy clothes and the food was good and bad and inedible then a service charge is automatically added (in tiny writing)! Brilliant. Supposed to be the second best restaurant...hmmm.

Really great food, will come again. Would be nice to have Spanish music rather than UK pop.

I'm vegetarian and there was some opinions here for sure. First time I went here was approximately 3 years ago and I would have given it 4 stars and now a 2. The vibes here are great -that buzzing, loud, inviting noise and this has been the same both times. The food the first time was spectacular and so flavoursome. Second time round, I was extremely disappointed. 🤷

Amazing tapas, wonderful flavours. Go for the pulled pork, black pudding croquettes and fish tacos. And the apple crumble cobbler. Oh, and the manager runs a great restaurant which is even busy on a Monday!

Went here for a New Years celebration, absolutely blown away by the quality of the food and drinks. Everything we had was delicious! Our waiter was the friendliest chap and gave great recommendations! Such a lovely vibe will definitely be returning!

Where to start. The best tapas we have had, can’t believe we have never been here before. Welcoming staff, very helpful and attentive , special mention to Maja. The food was so amazing. We probably ordered too much based on previous experience at other restaurants, so be prepared for generous portions. The atmosphere was good as well, can’t fault it, we normally take photos but we were so hungry and it was so good that we forgot!! Definitely will be returning.

Upon arrival with no booking we were welcomed with open arms, even though the place was very busy already the friendly staff managed to get us a table. The level of friendliness only went up and the service by all staff was second to none. The food arrived promptly and we were blown away - it's AMAZING! We went a bit mad and over ordered but still finished it all and had dessert which was also beautiful in presentation and in eating. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and when we visit this area again we will be returning to Sant Yago for definite. Top marks for everything - food, wine, service. 👍

Loved the food (though I wished the portions were a bit more generous), however I had to wait for a little longer that expected for my food. Lovely space and atmosphere.

We had the most amazing meal here. The tapas choice was great, the portions were generous and the taste was just incredible. The service was first class, all the wait / bar staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Then we finished the evening off in their basement cocktail bar. Fantastic! Couldn't recommend more!

Celebrated my 24th and despite having a party of 20, the staff were amazing, the food came out fast and was incredibly delicious. I would recommend 100%. Thank you to all the staff for making my birthday so special!

Great spot for a light lunch. Tapas dishes are rather sizeable compared to other tapas places, so there's still plenty of food to go round between multiple people. The food itself was flavoursome and filling – but the highlight for me is definitely the cocktails. So refreshing, I shall compare them to a summer's day.

Great place! I thought that the menu and decor was stylish and we had lovely service all night! Tapas in my opinion is always overpriced in the UK and this one sits on the more expensive end of the spectrum as 5 dishes and 1 drink was around £28 each. I thought the food was tasty, the monkfish could have been seasoned better and warmer but generally speaking everything else was flavoursome and filling! Definitely a cute place for a date. I would recommend this place to others!

What amazing food!! I didn't expect the food to be _that_ good. I liked the relaxed atmosphere of the place, and the staff were attentive enough, but unobtrusive. They do a good cocktail too, so much so we ordered two. The food portions are small, but that allowed us to pick more dishes to taste. We had six dishes to share tapas style and that was more than enough for the two of us. Six dishes, one dessert, two cocktails and a beer, and an optional 10% gratuity, came to £72. I felt that was reasonable and good value.

Lovely experience - excellent food, and not your usual tapas selection, so a nice change! Cocktails good, and even have sugar drip absinthe - certainly worth a visit!

I cannot understand how this place is 4.7, the food was so bland we didn't eat more than a mouthful of the 6 tapas we order and the ones we did try and eat were average at best. I mentioned this to the waitress and she took them off the bill. After such a complaint I'm surprised the chef didn't make the effort to come out and understand the issues, I guess they don't care. On arrival we stood by the door for ages with no staff In sight, the staff where scruffy and the restaurant felt tired and gruby. Will not be coming back.

We visited here for a works night out, with a total of 16 people. The food was fantastic, all brought to the table promtly, were never left waiting for drinks or other service. Very friendly staff, and and overall a great experiance.

Came here on a busy Friday night, the food was incredible, the best tapas we’ve ever had. Really fast service, delicious cocktails and our waitress (I believe her name was Jamie) was so lovely. All in all a 10/10 experience!

Very lively place, nice atmosphere. Waitress was super friendly and helpful and the food was really good. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The pork belly was the highlight of the meal but all the food was very good. Would come back for sure.

Quick lunchtime meal. Ordered 5 tapas and Greek salad (from the specials). Sadly, only pork cheeks were outstanding, as the rest of the food wasnt to our liking. Greek salad was very sour, and vegetables weren't the best quality. Artichoke bland, sweet potato stack very, very sweet, calamari cut very thin but my little one ate all. On the positive note, the service was great, especially by polish girl(can't remember her name).

It’s my first time here since 2017 and I wanted to come back from a long time ago. The food tastes as good as it was back in the old days but I remembered it like a more quiet place… nonetheless, great quality-price relation and great attention. I hope to come back soon! :)

Having eaten at this establishment before as part of large "party" group, I was keen to enjoy a more intimate dinner with the wife here. We enjoyed some wonderful espresso martinis downstairs upon our arrival, with the lovely bar-person being an absolute treat...and a great mixologist! Eventually, we took our window seat and order a selection of mouth-watering food to share. I won't babble too much, but it was a solid 7/10...with only the "meat tacos" being dry and cold upon arrival. It's another solid night out at this pleasant and busy restaurant.

Felt understaffed, but a group of about 20 walked in for cocktails, and they worked hard and were very polite. Food came quickly, but mixed quality. I would go back on a quieter night.. Though it is Wednesday

Lovely cosy feel and food was delicious. Generous portions I thought! Recommend the paprika crisps they were yummy! Waited a little time for our drinks and it was quite cold inside esp when anyone walked through the door so we initially kept our jackets on! Was expecting more in the way of a buzzy atmosphere but we sat on the ground floor not the basement so could of differed down there! Would recommend if anyone is local and in the area. (The restaurant where really flexible with us unfortunately we had to re book a couple of times due to people in our party having covid and they were very understanding - very impressed)

This is my absolute favourite restaurant in Portsmouth. The food is always outstanding and they have lots of reasonable offers during the week. Sarah the manager is always very welcoming and will try and fit you in during busy times. Huge variety of tapas, cocktails and wine!

Just had a wonderful meal here. The tapas was exquisite, all so fresh and cooked too perfection. My favourite was the chicken thigh skewers and pork belly. And the short rib and goats cheese salad! This was our first time here but definitely will not be the last, already planning our next visit!

Gorgeous food as always. Our first time back since lockdown. And really didn't disappoint. Few new dishes. The baked camembert was gorgeous. Lots of GF and vege options available. As for set up in 'these times' there were screens in between the tables and hand sanitiser on every table.

The food here is amazing, particularly if you have dietary requirements. The staff are also friendly and attentive! Make sure you book a table though, as it does get busy on weekends, although they do have a nice bat downstairs if you don't mind waiting

Had a lovely night here for my mum-in-laws 80th birthday. Service was really friendly and the food was fantastic. Especially the pork belly, calamari, sea bass and the amazing baked camembert! Highly recommended!

They have such a lovely looking menu but what you get doesn't always live up to the idea. Most of the food is good but a lot of it is also very average and probably not worth the price you paid. Nice quirky style inside. Recommend the Camembert and the pig cheek, delicious! Would stay away from the mushroom veggie dish and hallumi skewers as they're pretty flavourless and uneventful.

Great Tapas restaurant! Menu has a great selection and valued well. Quality of food is great from starters to desserts! The cocktails list is also great and has a lot of selection. Location is good however there isn't much parking, however parking is walking distance. I would mention if you are considering here which I recommend; is to reserve a table as it is very busy and in demand. You won't be disappointed with you choice to eat here. It's also very clean with a nice atmosphere - staff were very friendly too.

In and out in 10 seconds. 'No kids licence' the reason which I've never heard of before nor is it advertised on the door. Mine are 7 and 10. If you want to go in as a family, take your custom elsewhere.
