It took over 50 minutes to get a very simple meal. My order was a Trio fish plate having one of the dish less than 4 inches in length. See attached photo with knife pointing this out. 10 tables and 6 staff should have resulted in better and faster service. I want to like this place but I can't. This appears to be a small family business by people who do not have much restaurant experience. Fish soup was so-so. Scolops were well cooked. There really seems to be one cook and 5 others not really helping out much. You need to better organize food orders, queuing and delivery. Sorry but someone needed to say this.

The staff are polite. I took a large cod with chips and peas. The cod and chips were bland (no salt in it, etc.) so we need to order extra side sauces to add taste like chili sauce, tartar sauce etc.. The indoor seats are nice and the location is close to the harbor.

To be honest, this is not good enough as a Chinese comment App saying. The only 4 stars reason is the waiter is really kind and nice. The paella I ordered is so sour with the tomato sauce and so bland even if adding the salt by myself. The scallops and king prawns are just okay. I thought the problem is we didn't order to many seafoods. Another thing is when we tried other restaurants in Plymouth we found this restaurant is the best. We are shocked.

Went here for a family meal. The food was delicious. The starter portions were huge. Seafood was very fresh. The service however was a little disappointing, the waitresses that took our food order seemed to have an attitude for no reason. However the gentleman at front of house was extremely friendly and welcoming. I would visit again.

A cubby hole of a fish shop in a busy part of town known as The Barbican. The servers were ever so efficient and helpful. The mussels were so meaty, the king prawns amazing and the chowder was hearthy and boiling. For the price of a burger back home we could eat an amazing sea food selection. Well worth it!!!!

Ordered the lobster and a large variety of seafood dishes. Seafood dishes were awesome but the lobster was overcooked. Would recommend the mussuels and paella but not the lobster.

Excellent food and service. Fishermen’s pie is a must try, it’s very creamy and buttery. Seafood platter is a very good bang for buck too.

Food could do with much improvements in my opinion. I tried the Gurnard dish which unfortunately the taste didn't quite resonated. Fish had lost it fundamental enjoyment, tasted of greasy used oil being the dominated flavour, fish bones were not removed which was annoying. The frozen chips were nice at least. Unfortunately it didn't reach any of my expectations as I prefer speciality varieties of fish. FYI, dogs are welcome as long as well behaved.

This place was a happy find. I wanted fish to eat while visiting Plymouth and ideally an independent restaurant, rather than a pub or a chain. Platters suited this perfectly, although I was lucky to get a table in this small and busy venue! There was plenty of seafood and fish options for starters and mains. I went for the Plymouth Clam Chowder and the trio of grilled fish with chips, both of which were excellent.

This is a small fish 'restaurant' almost as close to the harbour at the Barbican, Plymouth as you can get. It is fairly basic with the open kitchen to rear. On this occasion I had the trio of fish; gurnard, red mullet and sea bass with chips whilst the wife had the haddock and chips. Both meals were served with peas and a basic garnish. We both ordered coffees and we were told that the coffee machine as broken and the coffee was instant. The trio of fish was £18-19 whilst the haddock was £16-17. The service was excellent and the meals arrived quickly. The haddock was huge, fresh and excellently cooked. I was a little disappointed with the trio of fish as the gurnard and red mullet were really small pieces and the sea bass was a farmed fillet. It was too small for a wild fish to legally land on a UK boat. All cooked OK though and tasty. Chips were generous but average. 4-stars for the haddock and 3-stars for the trio of fish. They also still charged full price for he instant coffee. So overall a generous 4-stars.

Great sea food cooked well. Great service when I arrived after lunch time. Plenty of options on menu for fish lovers. Hard to find any fault. Competitively priced. I liked the new interior and exterior revamp. Traveled past this place all my life living in Plymouth and never visited. Worth a re visit

We enjoyed a selection of starters. That were amazing! The team took the initiative to make it look so nice on a wooden board as well. Really enjoyed our late lunch there.

Absolutely lovely seafood and service. I’m not a huge seafood fan but my wife is so we gave it a go. So glad we did as the food was so tasty and fresh. So good in fact that we ate there three nights in a row. Staff were amazing and accommodated us two nights in a row with no booking, which I would recommend doing in holiday season as it’s very popular. All I can say is thanks for making our holiday even better.

Lovely Fowey river mussels and chips. Tasted great and decent size portion. Daughter enjoyed her nuggets and chips. Was impressed at pricing for a harbour front cafe.
