This
is
a
small
fish
'restaurant'
almost
as
close
to
the
harbour
at
the
Barbican,
Plymouth
as
you
can
get.
It
is
fairly
basic
with
the
open
kitchen
to
rear.
On
this
occasion
I
had
the
trio
of
fish;
gurnard,
red
mullet
and
sea
bass
with
chips
whilst
the
wife
had
the
haddock
and
chips.
Both
meals
were
served
with
peas
and
a
basic
garnish.
We
both
ordered
coffees
and
we
were
told
that
the
coffee
machine
as
broken
and
the
coffee
was
instant.
The
trio
of
fish
was
£18-19
whilst
the
haddock
was
£16-17.
The
service
was
excellent
and
the
meals
arrived
quickly.
The
haddock
was
huge,
fresh
and
excellently
cooked.
I
was
a
little
disappointed
with
the
trio
of
fish
as
the
gurnard
and
red
mullet
were
really
small
pieces
and
the
sea
bass
was
a
farmed
fillet.
It
was
too
small
for
a
wild
fish
to
legally
land
on
a
UK
boat.
All
cooked
OK
though
and
tasty.
Chips
were
generous
but
average.
4-stars
for
the
haddock
and
3-stars
for
the
trio
of
fish.
They
also
still
charged
full
price
for
he
instant
coffee.
So
overall
a
generous
4-stars.
