The Pigeon Lake Wilderness is a 50,000 acre wilderness area in the central Adirondacks, part of the Adirondack Forest Preserve. It contains numerous lakes and ponds and some of the largest, and oldest, trees east of the Mississippi. Some sections of this wilderness were never logged. Pigeon Lake, the area's namesake, is remote and rarely visited; a true wilderness experience.

An amazing, moderate difficulty hike around a couple lakes/ponds. Absolutely beautiful. Done a couple hiking trips, camped out on queer lake lean to. Will definitely return.

There is endless well kept trails that run throughout. Extremely beautiful, and very easy to find seclusion and privacy. Lots of lakes with awesome camping. The negetives: They make any car access virtually impossible, so it makes camping limited, unless you're willing to leave your car next to the road and hike several miles to a lake carrying all your stuff. Also, there are so many mosquitoes! (However we have had the most rain this year since Noah!) But if you bring enough repellents you should be fine.

I love this area! So peaceful and beautiful. Great place to get away from it all. Also no cell service last time I was there but it is spotty in some areas.

Nice walk in the woods. Would be nice to know how far the walk was before getting to the lakes. Being bug spray! And if it has been wet, know it is rocky and muddy.

Lovely area and easy level hike with only slight ups and downs. Enjoy!
