This was an unforgettable experience! I got my diving certificate thanks to all the teachings from my amazing instructor Ioannis! He is also the owner of horizon diving. Ioannis left quiet an impression. His love and affection and passion for the work that he does…. The respect and genuine care and kindness he showed me throughout this experience was seriously NEXT LEVEL. I was really moved. Even under water his gentle gestures really kept me cool and calm. My trust and confidence in him was at gazillion percent! At the end of the experience… I overcame a lot of things. The fear of being in an open water. The fear of being in an open water where my toe couldn’t touch the floor…. depth didn’t matter anymore. The fear of being stranded in an open water. Haha. You learn survival tips too. On my last dive, I remember looking up from the bottom of the water and thinking ~~~ it’s so beautiful. I can’t believe I did this! I can now go out and CONQUER ANYTHING!!! THEN~~ came the final exam with the bubble sheet. Haha. Ioannis Is such a pro. I swear he welcomed me to take the exam at his home/base. I took that exam like I was taking my final exam in college! Lol and took a long time to finish it. Ioannis assured me to take my time. Brought me drinks. Once I was done w the exam he took the time to ensure I understood where I got wrong bc what was most important is that I understood. Knowledge is power and Knowledge will set me free from fear of the unknown. Also if you ever get an opportunity to stop by his base. He has the cleaning station and drying station all set up so well. You can tell that he is very organized and neat. That shows his work ethic too. Anyways. Ioannis You are an AmaZing Person! And Mentor! And Instructor! Keep doing what you are doing! I took an Open Water Diver course here and loved it. The course materials can be viewed online either via the SSI website or app. There are a few multiple choice questions and videos at the end of each chapter to explain what you have learned. This helps a lot and prepares you well for the final test. In practice, Kris picked me up at the hotel on time and we drove about 40 minutes to a beautiful diving spot. Everything was explained to me in a very understandable manner and any questions I had were answered straight away. The equipment was - as far as I can tell as a beginner - in top condition and I had no problems with it. The dives themselves were impressive and left us wanting more. When I'm back in Crete, I will definitely book my next diving course here again. Thank you!

An exceptional experience with Yannis! Very kind and caring. The club was able to adapt very kindly to our time constraints. We did 3 magnificent dives, the setting was magnificent, the wildlife abundant, the sites very preserved, we were alone in the world for an atmosphere of great serenity, magical moments.... I recommend 300%. Plus Yannis sent us films and photos of our dives that he did, absolutely adorable!!!

This was an excellent afternoon, so so much fun, this was the first time me and my girlfriend have ever tried scuba and it was incredible. It was just the 2 of us and our instructor. Incredible English, so friendly, very professional and would recommend anyone goes here. Thank you so so much again. I will try and add more photos when I get round to checking all the videos out properly but uploaded 1 or 2.

We had amazing dives with Kris, Lea and Ioannis! Absolutely great instructors who make the diving trips enjoyable and really make you feel at ease! The rental equipment is in a very good condition and handled with care. I can only recommend diving with them!

I had 4 fantastic dives with Ioannis and Kris. They were extremely helpful and enthusiastic. Dive sites were excellent as was their guiding. Very friend, relaxed and helpful to deal with Everything was very calm and relaxed and ioannis took some excellent photos and videos. Next time I am in Crete I will definitely be back. I took the open water diver with them, a group with experience, a lot of appetite, patience, humor in and out of the water. Diving in Mononautis with beautiful landscapes and lots of fish. Truly unforgettable experience!!

I did the SSI Open Water training with Yiannis from Horizon Diving. It was a great experience. Yiannis is a very kind and passionate diver. He explains everything very wel and in a way that is easy to understand. This gave me confidence to do the dives and exercises. The suits and materials they use is very good. It was January and I didn't feel very cold under water. The Dive spots we dived at were very beautiful. My boyfriend, who used to be a dive instructor, really enjoyed the guided dive that we also did as well. I would definitely recommend this school. Would love to do some more dives here. Thank you again!!

Did a couple dives a few months ago and had the best experience. I get slightly nervous at the start of a dive but this was not an issue. I was eased into each dive and felt reassured at every stage along the way. Going back to Crete next year and will definitely book some more dives. Thank you!
