The Skä•noñh - Great Law of Peace Center was amazing! It was only $5/adult (which was great, but I would’ve easily paid at least $12-15 because it was that incredible). The exhibits are very well put together and spaced out. I love that it has two levels that you can go through, and from what I believe I think it’s accessible (although don’t quote me on that because I’m not 100% sure). Most of the information has some form of audio and visual (making it accessible) although the special tools (press a button and it explains something) were offline due to COVID-19 (this didn’t hold us back as we just watched the videos that had CC and read the displays with explanations in writing). There was plenty of parking (which is free) and it took us about an hour or so to go through the exhibits and the Mission (big buildings) in the back. It was very educational while still being interesting and thought-provoking. I learned so much about the Haudenosaunee and I’m so glad we decided to visit when we did.

This place is a gem. Tina, who greeted us at the entrance, is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Onondaga and the five nations as well as the current situation and efforts of the community to restore and maintain the culture. Exhibits were easy to read and the accompanying videos were really well produced. Makes the trip to Syracuse worth the drive. Great little gift shop too😀

My history class from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) visited this location on a day in which the center was supposed to be closed, so I would like to give massive thanks to Andy and Tina for making special efforts to guide us and for sharing the stories of the Haudenosaunee with us. The experience that we had at this location was eye-opening, enlightening, and- for many of us- emotionally moving. These are stories that must be uplifted in our greater historical narrative. I cannot recommend that you visit this location enough. I guarantee that you will learn something you never knew before! On behalf of UTSA, thank you again to Tina, Andy, and everyone involved in operating and preserving this wonderful location.

The Tour Guides did an outstanding job! What a treat! Our student group was enthralled as the guides recounted history come to life. We even spotted a bald eagle. Our only regret is that the French mission site was under renovation. Hopefully, we will be back :).

Intense experience learning the real story and origins of this great native American confederation. Well presented in a logical flow of videos, art, artifacts, and written narratives.

I absolutely love all of the knowledge gained from our visit here. Having not grown up in the area, I did not have this wonderful information. Inexpensive, relaxing, full of information!
