An experience that could have been 5 stars... On the positive aspects: 1. Warm water in the showers 24/7 2. Great environment and lots of green 3. A perfect place for kids with lots of activities evey day including cinema with cartoons at nights 4. Friendly personnel who tries their best even under duress. 5. An overall resort feel at times 6. The sea in front of the camping is great for a swim and sunbathing. On the negative aspects: 1. Bad WiFi making this a non suitable option for digital nomads who need to stay connected. Even reading emails can be a hassle. 2. Reports of theft and no security patrol on the tents even after 2 incidents were the police was involved making the experience an insecure one where you need to move around with your bag all day to ensure your valuables don't go missing. 3. No lifeguard on a pool of a camping primarily advertised as child / parent / family friendly. This lack of supervision also led to the pool getting contaminated (or at least changing in colour) and having to be closed down for a number of days during the busiest holiday period (August 2022). 4. Tent campers are allowed to park inside the camping site making the experience seem like you camped in a garage. There are polite notices to move these out but the lack of enfocement is a problem in this case. 5. An expensive restaurant serving okayish food with not enough and clearly stressed personnel that at times can't hide their distress. 6. This extends to the owner of the camping site who unfortunately on a single occasion lost her temper and said to my upset wife: "if you don't like it here don't come again". And that happened over a trivial case which could have been easily handled by a professional in hospitality services. [Apology noted and appreciated Gytheion Camping] All in all Gytheion Bay is great for kids. Not so much for adults. The experience is expensive, lacks balance and it has the dynamics of an uncontrolled and unpleasant situation forming at any time i.e. a child being hit by a car that traverses the camping on speed, or your child having an accident at the pool due to the lack of professional supervision, or a child getting abducted as there is no control on who enters or exits the camping site. This comes with the toll of not being able to relax as you should on a holiday as an adult and it is pretty serious if this is what you get with an average day cost of 100 Euros / day (which aligns with what we were spending at least on having breakfast, lunch, cocktails and accommodation) for 15 days (1.5k Euros) Will we be visiting again? Not sure as we are always aiming for something better and new. At the same time though I would suggest everyone with a family considering Gytheion Bay as a good option for them with lots of activities but unless you are prepared to be 120% on alert to ensure your child's wellbeing then you should think again.

Amazing camping! We went on late April and the place was so calm and peaceful. The facilities are perfect, from the showers, kitchen with refrigerator and a beautiful pool. The staff is also very very nice and welcoming. Overall a great place to stay!

Fantastic restaurant and bar area, with a pool. The food is very nice and the service also. There is a kids cinema movie every night and you can rent a bike for the kids. Your kids will love this camping. Now the not so good things. The women wc are disappointing. The toilets are for kids(like those on kindergarten, low and small) not for grown women! The trees are mainly olive trees so there is no satisfying shadow anywhere but the restaurant area.On warm days this is a problem.

Friendly staff, price abit high, pitches well covered from the heat but not very well kept bathroom facilities look nice and modern online but not what we expected very well used and repairs were not very well done. Swimming pool looks big online but it was tiny and the water is green I think the pump could do with a clean. Beach was OK could do with a clean up.

Very nice and well organised place!!! We come for second year in a row although we are not camping fans. The location and the set up excellent, a perfect choice if you have kids. The food is really good, well better than expected from a camping restaurant. A nice place for relaxing holidays!

Of course there is a lot of people in summer, however there is no regulation for space, so people are campimg everywhere, that means that family can have smaller space than two people if they want to and that is causing problems with space for everyone. :) Facilities are regularly cleaned and that is good! Camp is for families, not for young people so much, so don't expect parties. :D Beach is good and nice. Staff are helpful. I would recommend to call in advance, if you want to have a chance to have space in the summer. Anything you need you can buy jn the shop.

This is the second time I’m visiting this camping. I could say best vacation ever. There is not much you can do outside of the camping, but if you intend to relax and not partying all night, then this is the destination. It contains whatever we would need.

Very nice and clean camping with plenty of toilets and showers (always clean). Well equipped for the motor homes. Nice staff. Spacious beach. Miele washing machines and dryer. On site restaurant and bar. One of the best in Greece we visited.

This camping could be great but it is not at all. We called them and asked them if they had kids club because we were many families that wanted to spend a weekend there during low season. Their answer was that they will have for sure if we are so many. Then we arrive and there is no kids club, no breakfast and the restaurant opens at 14:00 but is ready to serve the first meal around 15:00. We contacted them while camping and their answers were a huge disappointment. We heard that it is low season and we don’t pay enough to have a kids’ club, that we should have their promise about kids club operation written etc. At the end we found out that the reason they didn’t have kids’ club was because the person who runs it went to vote. 🤦🏻‍♀️ All in all, things might happen to work as expected if you are lucky with the dates you book. 🤷🏻‍♀️ PS: They only called us to organize our check out and it was always too hard to get an answer for all the other issues….

The most family friendly camping I've been. Kids activities during "graveyard time" , movie night every night, kids Manu, amazing food and service.

Overall, the camp has good facilities. Navajo tents are the best choice to stay there; second is a two-sided tent; and the third choice, which is to be avoided by campers, is just horrible. The camp is not convenient enough for first-time campers, meaning if you are not prepared with absolutely everything, your options are very limited. For cooking, there is a good facility, but if you do not bring your gear, it is absolutely useless, and there is no gear rental option available. The beach is useless for families with small children; the sea is too deep and the waves are too big, making it ideal for wind surfing but not for small kids. That's why they have the pool, which, by the looks of it, was poorly maintained and the water was constantly oily. The kids program is very limited; only Greek is spoken, and entertainment depends on who is running the program for the day. Restaurant good enough food, but service horrible; waited 40–50 minutes for an ice cream desert, or every time you wanted to pay the bill... No receipts were given, and on the last sitting, the bill was overwritten! Now to get back to the sleeping options. Tents are the best option there simply because, at least at night, you can breathe in them and sleep in them, and the Navajo tents are quite comfortable. Avoid staying in the caravans; they are just way too old for the price asked; pictures from their web site have nothing at all to do with reality; everything in them is breaking down or not working; and most of all, no air circulation is happening in them. The only option for a little cooling is a SMALL fan (which did not help at all). Which led us to leave early because no rest can possibly happen in them, and when you have a 10-hour drive back home, it's a major issue. The big disappointment was on checking out; we weren't even asked how our stay was. The only comment on their side when I told them we were leaving early because no rest can happen and was a major migrane was there is nothing much I can do,"  but except to bill us in full, no option was provided what so ever to amend the situation, like a change in accommodations or not billing for the full stay. 8 euros for the car to stay near you, if not the car is parked outside the camp in a lot 30 meters awat for the camp enterance. Do recommend visting the region, very romantic beautifull beaches traditional greek homes and food overall a wonderfull adventure to have there!

Rarely something exeeds my expectations such in this case. The neverending beach and the clear sea, comfortable tents, clean and new amenities, amazing food in a cosy restaurant cooled my the mulberry and olive trees, amazing helpful people that work there, plenty amusements for kids, all these enhanced our enjoyment and helped us fully relax.

Extremely lovely staff at the reception and the restaurant. Food at the restaurant was delicious and we got a nice chance to hear some local live music. Everything was clean and the pool cozy. Ps. Reading some of the comments I would like to add that the pool water is very clean even if the pool is green!

Arguably The Top campsite in Greece. Super friendly helpful staff on all posts from reception to pool bar. Amazing pool bar and restaurant with daily variety of special dishes under dense and cool natural shade, lavatories that are being constantly thoroughly cleaned and sanitised, roomy tent spaces, daily childrens' activity program and movie, large pool with comfy surrounding. Excellent experience, will definitely be revisiting now and then.

Large camp but good organized. Plenty activities for children including the swimming pool. Instead of high season we got a place for our caravan. Good base for a small trips in Laconia.

Super clean with many facilities (so, it doesn’t get crowded) WC, kitchen, freezer, showers renovated. Decent food and nice cocktails at the bar. Lots of shade, spacious but without clear boundaries

Hands down the best camping place in Greece! We went at the end of August with our own tent and it was easy to find a spot in a shady place. Really clean facilities and everything you could need on site - bar, restaurant, mini market and even a pool with lounge chairs/tables where you can eat and drink. All of the staff members are super friendly and know what they are doing. Will definitely be coming back!

Okey camping, decent campsite well kept but for 20€/night (without car) I would expect more clean bathrooms. However from all the campings I stayed in peloponnese these bathrooms were the newest!

Probably the best camping in Greece. Newly renovated facilities that are most importantly very clean and well organized. Plenty of natural shade for every kind of tent or caravan. The restaurant serves great quality food at reasonable prices and the bar near it is a very good choice for a coffee or a night drink. The poolside area is ideal for kids and families. It also offers a safe windsurfing storage place.

A really good quality camping, especially compared to the camping standard of Mediterranean countries.

👍👍 I have to admit that this Greek taverna exceeded my expectations, as it more or less looks like a typical one, loke so many others in the hood. The food was really freshly made and tasty, service was fast with Mrs Anna dashing from one table to another. We tried moussaka and stuffed zucchini, among...

👍👍 Not what you would expect from a restaurant in the middle of a rather popular beach. All appetizers were perfectly executed and introduced in good timing.
