Very good hotel, in an excellent location near the airport. Good rooms, quiet, clean, excellent service and attitude. Very good breakfast. There is an outdoor pool and large garden areas

Very convenient when you are between 2 planes. Honestly, the thing that made a true difference is the airport pick-up that is included in the price. I hope other hotels will addopt this too!

After the many bad experiences in Greece, finally a place with friendly Greek people. Nice pool, and authentic Greek food: small price, but big portions. Breakfast was fine as well, although very small sandwiches. But I guess that's a Greek thing? The best Greek breakfast, I still think is the Greek yogurt with honey. So that's what I had as well, and we had a fun time at the pool. Although keep in mind, it's not meant for small children.

An excellent choice! Unfortunately, we only had booked for a night and could not prolong our stay. However, we promised ourselves that we would be back! The hotel convinces by an excellent value for money ratio, competent, serviceminded and friendly staff and last but not least free shuttle service to the nearby airport. The rooms are modern, large with a very good bathroom. Nice and clean and a good breakfast complete the hotel characteristics. There is a pool and a pool bar with modest prices.

A nice clean hotel located near the Makedonia Airport of Thessaloniki. Cosy clean rooms, swimming pool, very good breakfast buffet but also very good menu ala cart. Stefania at the bar provides an excellent service with her sweet charming smile. Recommended.

Nice little Hotel close to the airport. Free shuttle both ways. Rooms are clean and beds were good. We ate dinner at arrival and food was decent. Once again quality should go before quantity. Salad was way too big. House wine should be checked. Close to be pure vinegar. Staff was friendly. Breakfast has been classic buffet. Nothing to bad but rather no inspiring either. Pool was closed off for reasons I didn’t ask. To be fair, weather wasn’t too great for having a dip.

Hotel is ideal for overnight stay for easy airport transfer. I stayed 2 nights and throughout the day before my flight - enjoyed a good breakfast and nice swimming pool and bar. The staff is very polite and helpful, much appreciate their answers to a few questions. My room was economy on the ground floor and had some noise onnthe first night for which the reception tried to assist me but the noise was coming from the exterior , they even ofered me a room replacement but it stopped eventually). The room is spacious and very clean, all works well. My flight was at 6am they arranged smooth transfer at 4.30am right in time. Fantastic hotel for its purpose!

A little off the path and out of the way. We used this hotel based on location to the airport as it is very close. The rooms were large and clean. The AC didn't work well but we were there for only a short time. The pool and restaurant were nice and the shuttle to the airport worked well.

Avalon hotel is a very great place, I really enjoyed my time in this hotel. The food is very good, the cleaning great and the staff the best. I will a room In the same hotel next time I will be visiting Thessaloniki. I simply love it ⭐⭐⭐⭐

i had a rather poor experience in this hotel. My room was located in the basement, it was noisy and needs maintenance (hairdryer is broken, shower has a leakage) and i could hear a lot of noise Hotel staff is not very helpful or welcoming which is uncommon in Greece that are normally very friendly people and the breakfast is the worse i had in any hotel i went to in last 20 years. i asked twice for an egg that was never provided to me, there are no fresh fruits, only canned, whereas in summer Greece has great tasty fresh fruits etc. The transfer service to airport is very practical but i would recomend travellers to stay in some better hotels downtown Thessaloniki if they can.

Great and amble employees. The breakfast and dinner were amazing. They would always fill up the products (unlike other hotels). Everything very clean. The rooms were cleaned daily and towels replaced every day. I could reach the city center by taxi for less than 15 euro. They have a very nice pool and very nice atmosphere.

I recently stayed at the Avalon Hotel for one night and had a good experience. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The breakfast was decent and included a good selection of items. There was also a free shuttle to the airport which was really convenient.

Good location near the airport. Shuttle service also available and it worked wery well. Breakfast good. Rooms get only 3 stars because door is not noise insulated. My room at ground floor was near some maintainance staff facilities and I woke up around 6.30 when they were working. Otherwise clean room with good bead. Stayed only less than 12 hours so not much to tell about the place.

I recently stayed at Avalon hotel near the airport, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. One of the main issues was that the hotel's pool seemed like a public pool for the entire area, attracting a large number of kids and causing a lot of noise. It was impossible to relax before my flight due to the constant commotion. The room itself was clean, but it lacked any special features and had a tiny porch that was tainted with a sewage smell. This forced us to keep the doors closed and rely on the air conditioning, which turned out to be disappointingly weak. Considering it was a hot day, this made the situation even more uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the room had a separating door, and our neighbors, who had kids, were extremely loud, shouting and making a mess, which disturbed our peace. Before our early departure, we made sure to request a small breakfast bag, which was supposed to be included in the price. However, when we checked out, we were disappointed to find out that nothing was prepared for us. In the end, my overall experience at this hotel was quite unpleasant. The only positive aspect was its proximity to the airport, but even that didn't make up for the many shortcomings during our stay. I hope the hotel takes this feedback into consideration to improve their services for future guests.

We just stayed 2 nights. Great hotel if you have an early flight the next day or if you arrive past the opening hours of the rental car companies. Their airport shuttle service works great.

An overall pleasant stay. Communal pool for local residents and hotel residents. Food at the restaurant was pleasant and largely fair price for the size of the portions. Friendly staff and excellently positioned close to the airport. Unfortunately for us we never experienced the breakfast because we left before breakfast - no substitute was given even though we paid. You can hear the people in other rooms dropping things or making noise which is not perfect for an early flight.

The service has been wonderful, all the hotel staff are charming and helpful, thank you for your hospitality.

Good enough hotel. Very limited and expensive restaurant was a problem. And if you call a taxi, you'll pay 2.5 times which they fail to mention it. Room was fine and good value

Almost everything was ok except rooms in basement. The hallway smelled faintly of oil. Nice terrace and pool area.

A very pleasant hotel near the airport. The staff was very helpful and kind, the rooms were clean and comfy and they even offered me a free ride to the airport at 5 AM. Highly recommend. Please keep in mind that the hotel is quite far from the city center - if that is what you are looking for.

My accommodation was truly enjoyable, beautiful hotel with clean rooms and good aesthetics. The staff was kind and helpful, and especially in the area of the pool the services were excellent from the clearness of the pool to the kindness of the lifeguard. Totally worth it!

With its free shuttle, this hotel is a good choice for an early morning flight. It's not in the prettiest of areas, but the relaxing indoor and outdoor spaces make up for that. Good, professional service.

It's in the middle of nowhere. Nothing of interest nearby at walking distance. (18 minutes at least). The portions at the restaurant are kind of tiny, yet the quality of the food was good. The airport shuttle really makes up for it, though. All in all, a good experience.

Conveniently located near the airport, Avalon is a nicely appointed hotel with comfortably sized rooms, nice pool and lounge area, with a moderately priced restaurant on site with delicious food. There is nothing within reasonable walking distance and an approximately 30min drive from the Thessaloniki waterfront and attractions. If not for the rude reception and wait staff that insisted on meals instead of appetizers when we arrived, this would be a 4 star review.

The hotel staff are very nice and helpful. The airport shuttle is extremely useful - remember to book it in advance. Breakfast was good. Sadly, the walls and doors are very thin and you hear everything that's happening in the hall and people coming late at night always wake you up :(

Very nice place. The fridge didn't work and there was a constant electrical noise next to our window. The rest was fantastic.

Basement room was okay. Very old hotel. Breakfast is from 7 to 10:30 but be assure that at 9am you won’t find much left to eat. Canned fruits, no fresh food or fresh bread. Staff is kind and helpful but that’s it.

Nice hotel near to the airport of Thessaloniki, easy to reach. Stayed here for one night because of an early flight.

I have marked this hotel with 5 stars because: 1. Rooms - we had a ground floor room which was very reasonable (€) and decent size, clean and more than acceptable as a hotel in Greece, from our own experience; 2. Service - they provide a free shuttle to and from the hotel. We arrived late (23.30), they picked us up, and we went back to airport next day to pick up our hire car. They have a decent swimming pool and good breakfast; 3. Location - excellent for a night near the airport for one night.
