Incredible tasting patisserie & coffee. The owner was really welcoming & helpful. Great price. Couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Tasty coffee, amazing pastries & cakes. But food aside, the owner went above and beyond to make sure our short breakfast visit become a memorable one. He searched for a table (note this is a grab n go coffee shop, not a proper restaurant). He offered us his power bank to charge our phones. When my wife asked where to buy dry ice he jumped on his motorcycle to go get it for us. Greek hospitality par excellence!! Ευχαριστώ

Family Amazing cafe with top quality food, low prices and speedy service. Everything is so clean and the workers as well as the management always check on you to make sure everything is okay. Some of the best frappe I've had in Greece!

This bakery and cafe is maybe a ten minute walk from our AirBnB. Along the way we pass three or four other bakeries just to get to this one. The selection is good, the food is delicious, most of the offerings are marked in Greek and English and the staff is more than happy to explain the ones that aren’t. They are patient with me as I butcher the Greek language in my effort to learn some. The owner and his mother(?) are super friendly as well as the employees. If you’re in the area you should certainly stop here for something to eat. I will admit I don’t think there’s been a morning yet that I didn’t go back in for a second time to try more things.

I definitely did not expect to have some of the best desserts I've ever had within walking distance from our Airbnb in Chania. Papanikolakis has been one of the highlights of our month long stay in Crete. Thank you!

The place has a very tasty coffee and pastries, and the staff is very nice. But the added things are what give this place the full 5 stars, for example while we are eating the owner approached and offered us a charging station to charge our phones.

This cafe is a little slice of heaven. I wish I got the barista’s names, but they were so sweet and so very welcoming! There is a wide selection of pastries and homemade ice cream to satisfy any sweet or savoury tooth. We were so blissfully overwhelmed with the selections! You must visit this cafe and it’s relaxing atmosphere and outdoor seating. Our macha and espresso lattes were a superb accompaniment to the Banoffee and Mango Dôme (both almost too beautiful to cut into), which were both phenomenal! Thank you for sharing your craft with us!

Lovely food, friendly and welcoming owner, great facilities including mobile charging station and clean toilets. The owner made up sandwiches specifically catering to our dietary requirements as vegetarians who don't eat fish or eggs. Definitely recommend a visit, you won't regret it.

Lots of desserts and ice cream and cookies and cakes... Coffee etc etc we went there to ate the lacta cake as many locals suggest it. We loved it and they have variety of many pastries..we will definitely return back to taste what else they offer.

If you come to Chania, Papanikolakis is absolutely the best place for breakfast or a quick meal. You can chose both to eat at the table or takeaway! There is a huge variety of food, from sweet to savory, made with quality products, at a very reasonable price. In addition, the coffee is really good (I am Italian ;) and the brioches are fantastic! Most importantly, the owner and his staff are really nice and helpful.

Very good espresso and super fast service! Good selection of sweet and savory snacks for breakfast and lunch. I saw also a wide choice of cakes and typical pastry. Very nice and welcoming people! Absolutely suggested also for take away.

Friendly service and vibrant variety of sweets (home-made ice cream too) and pastries. As a tourist I could've needed translated texts on the labels or pictures of fruits/berries for non-greece visitors

Very good prices here for excellent pastries, gelato, and coffee! I ordered a cappucino, double chocolate parfait, and cappucino for 8,20 euro. The owner speaks very good english and gave me a scoop of vanilla gelato as a bonus. Wifi and charging is available here for customers.

Yes, Its the place to be. We had a chicken sandwich, donut, cake, coffee and soft drink and all very tasty. Friendly staff and beautiful looking desserts. Sandwich go fast so you must hurry to get yours. 👌👌
