Great hike. Plan on 3 hours. A lot of elevation changes, also a lot of mud, wear waterproof hiking shoes. Pretty views, waterfalls, stroll along gorges. Bridges and streams to cross.

Spent last weekend of deer season Camping/Hunting. Very nice area I would definitely go back. Would be nice if hunting seasons were posted at road entrances. Hikers were in and out of the area

10-16-2019 Update: Many of the roads that were in rough shape have been fixed up, including the photos showing the washed out section on School House Road. I'm happy to say all new pipes and drainage were dug all along that area. Other area's have been re-opened and had foliage pushed back, trees that were encroaching brought down and many other improvements to make the area more hospitable to a larger amount of vehicles. Original Review: Great place, but be careful if you don't have 4WD. Even if you do, take care around this time as many of the roads have been washed out via the winter melt while they haven't been maintained. Its fairly difficult to turn around on almost all of these roads so the only option is to back out which can be pretty difficult. I've seen a few car's that have gotten stuck in these area's and were left abandoned so take heed and drive safe. Stick to the main roads unless your vehicle is up for it.

The Finger Lakes Trail goes through the Connecticut Hill WMA, but there are many other trails to enjoy. Hill is in the name, so expect to do some walking up and down. Keep an eye out for old foundation holes and signs of farming from the late 1800s

Secluded and serene. I would recommend an SUV or truck on the seasonal use roads.

Love taking my dogs here to run and play. Great for walk in nature with unpaved but well maintained season roads.

Very nice place for hiking. We did a 6.5 mile hike without seeing a single other person. Because they get so little use the trails sometimes seem to fade. We used the "AllTrails" app to keep us on the route. Beware, the roads inside the area are dirt/gravel and are very rough. Would be good for mountain biking but not for cars.
