With the exception of the road conditions in town, the entire area is just beautiful! The people were friendly, the area is just fascinating if you need the outdoors!

Absolutely beautiful mountain town. Once the road construction is completed it will be easier to get around. The town was decorated for Christmas and was magical. Mountain views every where you look!

Beautiful Place. -Rocky Mountain If you plan to in before 2pm, make sure to make a reservation online. After 2pm, you still need to pay but, the line at the entrance will be super long. You cannot access the Beaver Meadows (popular spot) until 6pm. Still can go around to different areas. Gets dark by 6ish already so plan ahead.

Estes Park is a beautiful tourist destination. It is the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park and a short drive from Denver. I stayed at Ponderosa River Cabins right on Fall River and I sat out on my deck overlooking the river every night. Elk walk around the town, but don't get too close because they may charge you. There are plenty of shops, hotels, and restaurants.

Loved it. We arrived a couple of weeks before the Elk take over. There were some and I got pictures. What a great little town and so close to other things it is a great place to base yourself out of. So much to see..

Estes Park is a wonderful little fun town just a quick drive up the canyon from Loveland, CO. There are tons of outdoorsy things to do, plus it's the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. The animals have yet to learn the boundary to the park, and herds of Elk often cruise around town. This photo was taken from a moving car while my husband drove into town. Parking is tough, though there is a free shuttle from further out lots in the summer. Closer in places are pay to park. Lots of fun little shops, my favorite is Stuffed, the store that only sells stuffed animals. The owner is wonderful! Don't miss out on this store!

This is a really neat area with shops and restaurants as well as a nice natural area with lovely plants. There is metered parking and although a busy spot, you can circle and get a parking place fairly easily. We also had the pleasure of some elk visitors!!! Very cool.

Visited Estes Park for their Elk Fest and it had a blast! Great activities (the bugling contest was on of absolute favorites!), great food, and loved walking around all the vendor tents.
