This place is very charming and conveniently located. Free parking, a wine and beer social (my favorite!), the best smelling bar soap in the room, comfy robes, and a nightcap of creme sherry. The building is very old so there are unavoidable nuisances; such as: creaky floors and warped doors. But those things were tolerable because of all the nice amenities. The staff was happy and very accommodating. There's a beautiful Courtyard, a heated pool, a sitting room with a big selection of board games to play while enjoying flavored coffees or teas. Breakfast was delicious too, and served in beautiful plates. Our stay there was so enjoyable.

Literally my favorite place to be. Staff are wonderful, the place is absolutely beautiful with unmatched charm, and THERE ARE SO MANY AMENITIES!!! I’ve enjoyed coming here several times and have never been disappointed. You get free bikes to use, an amazing social hour which includes wine, beer, and snacks, free dessert at night, free breakfast in morn, free sherry in your room, plush robes to use for your stay, and passes to a local lighthouse ($20 value). The ladies who work at the front desk are very kind and accommodating, as well as the ladies who work in the kitchen. Some of the rooms have very firm beds, but other than that I really have no complaints. We love staying in Lily’s Room.

Just finished a family vacation of 20 at this great B&B. This is by far the new standard of how a boutique hotel should be ran. Staff outstanding. Rooms great. Little warm on our top floor but fans were provided. Food outstanding. Amenities great. Attention to detail is great. The little things are what make a good trips great. Would recommend to anyone thinking of coming to the area. Thank you so much to the staff for everything they did to make this a great vacation!

Lovely B&B that has all of the little things to make the stay enjoyable. We loved the creamed sherry in our room (nice touch!) plus the baked desserts left our for us for the evening. Great location too since we could walk to many of the fine restaurants in the area. Ample parking at the B&B which was a bonus. Finally, the owner arranged to have our small dog watched for us while we went out to eat which was super helpful!

The Bed and Breakfast is beautiful. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast was delicious. We stayed at the off property two bedroom two bath 1894 Ambrose’s Retreat. It’s a great location one block from the water. Kitchen was well stocked. The doors are originals and a little difficult to open and close. Overall a great property and stay.

I loved Everything about this Inn!! We stayed in the Marie suite and our room was comfortable enough for the two of us. While there we enjoyed the use of the bicycles and enjoyed making s’mores in the evening at the fire pit in the courtyard. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. We definitely will be returning!!

My girlfriend and I had the pleasure to stay at the St. Francis B&B in Maries room December 1st through the 3rd. Nestled on the peaceful rim of the historical district you are in walking distance of all the shops, restaurants, entertainment and the Castillo de San Marcos fort. All of the staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to lead you in the right direction for fun. And their breakfasts options! While I was there they offered a multitude of breakfast options from authentic Spanish dishes down to a bowl of cereal if you want something simple. But their french toast was something else. Like a french toast deep dish casserole. Amazing! And the icing on the cake, all guest are offered a load of complimentary amenities like, free parking in their private lot, a discount rate into the oldest house exhibit, free entry into St. Augustine lighthouse and 5-6pm social hour where they offer their guests a variety of free drinks. If you are planning a visit to St. Augustine I highly recommend spending a few nights at the St. Francis B&B.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Margaret's room while at the St. Francis Inn. What a great room! Had a private covered porch with seating, a garden table with umbrella, and a swing, all in a beautiful garden setting! The Inn's location was perfect- close to everything, but a quiet retreat. Parking area was a bonus, as we had our bikes on the car and it provided easy access off the street. Amenities were abundant from hearty breakfast, happy hour, homemade desserts each evening, and cold beverages throughout the day if needed. Staff was happy to accommodate any and all requests.

This B & B is in a perfect location. We loved how close we were to everything, we could just walk everywhere and not have to worry about parking. The room was beautiful and spacious. Our bed was very comfortable, however the sofa bed where my daughter slept was not. It really needs to be upgraded. The daily breakfast and afternoon appetizers were great. The evening desserts not as good because they didn’t taste fresh. The fire pit was lit every night for making s’mores. That was a wonderful little extra. The woman at checkin was not the most friendly & welcoming person, but she was courteous and escorted us to our room which we thought was a nice touch. Our room was even pet friendly. We took a nice, long bike ride around the area with the complimentary bikes provided which made for a fun day. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend this place to anyone!

I was traveling solo and spent three nights here in November. What a great experience! Walking distance to almost everything significant in St. Augustine, great historical charm, friendly hard-working staff, wonderful breakfasts, and even time to re-connect with the owner from years past when our professional careers crossed and caught up with his life and family. Couldn't have asked for a more ideal vacation. I met several patrons who had been here multiple times, and I can see why. Highly recommended!

Kristen was such a wonderful host. She provided a great overview tour of the inn and amenities with a welcoming smile. Each day’s breakfast meal was a delight and something we looked forward to. A free Social hour with drinks and snacks was provided each evening along with a dessert hour. Our Miss Emily room was very cozy and clean. Thank you for a great Labor Day weekend stay, we’ll see you again soon.

My wife and I stayed at St Francis Inn over a long weekend in September for our anniversary and loved our stay. The room we stayed in (Balcony Room) was very spacious especially for a BnB. It was in a quiet part of town that was close enough to walk (.4 mi.) to the downtown area with all the sites, dining and attractions. The staff was great and the room was very clean and well equipped. They have their own parking lot which is very nice given that parking in the area is very limited. Breakfast in the morning was lovely and we found St. Augustine rather enjoyable. We look forward to coming back!

We really enjoyed our first visit to St. Francis Inn! We stayed in Lily’s room, and it was perfect for the two of us. The amenities were great and we had everything we needed. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The location is perfect. It’s not located right in the middle of the busy tourist area, but certainly close enough to enjoy site seeing, shopping, and dining with just a very short walk. It was so nice to be able to park at the Inn’s private parking lot and just be able to walk everywhere! We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Loved sitting on our private balcony while having a cup of coffee. Breakfast was freshly made and very good. Staff took care of any requests promptly. We really enjoyed our stay. We will be back. PS don't forget treats 7:00 to 9:00 pm yum.

We were looking for a place to stay to capture the authenticity of St Augustine and did not disappoint :) The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We couldn’t ask for anything more. Loved the off site apartment with our own entryway and parking space. Super helpful for anyone with handicap needs. Made it super easy! We had a great visit and will definitely select this location again if we come back .

We had an amazing experience at the St. Francis Inn! I couldn't believe how many amenities there were: breakfast was always delicious, we got to try cream sherry for the first time, social hour was fun and featured local wine along with light bites, and dessert at night was a fun way to end a day of sightseeing. The courtyard was dreamy with many plants and a little fish pond; we enjoyed breakfast out there most mornings. There is also a free parking lot across the street, which can be hard to find elsewhere in the city. The room itself was the perfect size and very clean. I was quite impressed- I've stayed in centuries-old houses before and despite knowing they were clean, they don't always look clean simply because of their age. Not here! It looks just as clean as it feels. They also seem to have thought of every need: there is a black makeup-removing washcloth in the bathroom as well as "dirty rags" that can be used if you spill something in the room, and there were plenty of towels as well as toiletries. We really had everything we needed and more! The staff were always friendly and very helpful; they also have excellent local recommendations, so don't forget to ask them where to eat or what tours to do. One of our favorite meals came from one of their recommendations (Meehan's Pub!). This is also how we found out that they have free tickets to the lighthouse on Anastasia Island, which we enjoyed. Lastly, the location was awesome. St. George Street is a direct line to downtown where most of the attractions are, but they are far enough away that it offers a peaceful, quiet atmosphere. You're only a 5-7 minute walk from downtown but you don't have to worry about loud tourists late into the night like other properties that are closer to the hustle and bustle. All-in-all, we had an excellent time and will definitely be staying again when we come back to St. Augustine!

The St. Francis Inn is lovely place with great service. The staff is absolutely wonderful. I gave a 4 star rating because having stayed at other Bed and Breakfast I found the St. Francis Inn to be overpriced for what was offered. The breakfast was good, but I could have spent half the price at a hotel. The St. Francis was nothing spectacular. There was no specialty gourmet breakfast that is typical in other Bed and Breakfast. The rooms were also very small. It is a lovely place in a great location but way too expensive for what was offered.

This is the most adorable and quaint bnb I’ve ever stayed in. The location is amazing and within walking distance to everything. They also have free bikes you can take out and enjoy riding around downtown or even to the beach. Our room was cozy and comfortable with all the amenities we needed. The area is so quiet and peaceful. You feel like you have gone back in time. The food services that are included are top notch. You get a warm breakfast and an evening snack, drinks and nightly fresh dessert. It’s such a treat! And the coffee they serve is delicious. The employees are all so friendly and happy. The pool is a real plus after a long day of sightseeing on a hot day. My only one complaint is the smoking area should be moved off the premises as it’s not a good location and affects the quality of the peaceful outside environment for everyone.

We had the best time on our first trip to St Augustine, and our stay at St Francis Inn was absolutely wonderful! The staff was so friendly and helpful, providing a tour at check-in, a dozen great meals and snacks throughout our stay, local discounts for must-see attractions, and a quick breakdown of the fire pit on a night when we utilized the s’mores supplies made available to guests. Our room was exactly as pictured (the courtyard room) and was cute, comfortable, and easy for us to access as we made quick stops back to our room throughout the day. We utilized the pool and the free bikes and we had so much fun. I would definitely recommend this spot and would love to stay again. Thank you St Francis Staff!

This was my first time at a bed and breakfast, and i was very enjoyable. The staff was friendly and pleasant. The in was easy to find and the free parking was a nice touch. We were in a girl's trip and there was four of us. We stayed in the Garcia room which was nice and roomy. The only down side was the pull out couch that two of us were sleeping. The first night was so uncomfortable so didn't get much sleep. The second night i slept on without pulling it out and my daughter slept on the floor. We ended up paying 400 dollars a night for 4 guest. So sleeping arrangements should be more comfortable.

This is an Old, Historic and Rustic Inn that offers a lot of extras. One being free parking. Since the Inn is only a five to seven minute walk from the historic downtown area with shopping, restaurants and other attractions you don't need to use your car again until you leave. Of course you will need to use your car if you want to see the lighthouse or other attractions and restaurants on Beachside. Be aware that the parking in the downtown area is very, very limited. The staff is always very accommodating and willing to help if there is any problem. There is a social hour around 5 o'clock with wine and light snacks where you can mingle with other guests. They offer coupons and other discounts to local activities that differ throughout the year so when checking out their website keep that in mind. Oh and I almost forgot the most important thing that made my wife and I try this Inn more than 10 years ago. The Inn is pet friendly. Rooms that are pet friendly open right out to the courtyard which allows easy access to a small park that is right across the street to potty your pet. If you like old and rustic like my wife and I then this is an Inn you should definitely try. And did I mention that the staff is outstanding.

I would highly recommend staying at the St.Francis Inn bed and breakfast. Best bed and breakfast Inn we have stayed in so far. Everything was perfect. We were welcomed by Patrick who did an amazing job explaining everything about the property as well showing us around. He definitely made you feel welcomed and right at home from the start!! Honestly all the staff was so nice and welcoming. We have no complaints!!

We LOVED our stay here! The property is beautiful, the rooms are well kept and clean, the decor is inviting and honors the history of the home, and the staff is wonderful! We’re only sad we didn’t have longer to stay there. The atmosphere of the property is great, and the parking is convenient. The location is very easily situated near major downtown attractions, and is only a short walk away from all of the biggest St. Aug attractions. We didn’t experience any paranormal activity but enjoyed hearing about it. Didn’t have time to eat breakfast at the Inn but it smelled delicious! Will absolutely be back here to stay longer. Hated to leave!

Visiting from Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota! I stayed at the St. Francis in for four wonderful nights in two different rooms (Ballerina and Miss Emily) and each one was so charming, comfortable, and clean! The staff were absolutely delightful, fellow guests were polite as well as considerate, breakfast was delicious, and the overall experience was amazing! I felt like royalty there, honestly. I watched all my favourite Disney movies and celebrated turning 21 with my family! I can’t wait to return! Thank you so much everyone! Stay safe and well! 💖💕 xoxo

Our first Bed & Breakfast experience and St. Francis Inn did not disappoint. They made our trip so enjoyable. The rooms were beautiful. And the breakfasts, social hour treats and nighttime desserts were delicious. The pool was so refreshing. The staff were so helpful and we enjoyed chatting with a few. They are conveniently located within walking distance of many restaurants and shopping experiences. We will definitely stay at the St. Francis Inn on our next trip to St. Augustine.

Friendly, cozy, and relaxing! The inn has the most accommodating staff and a perfect setting for a relaxing. Whether you are by the pool, spending an evening around the fire, or enjoying wine in the calming courtyard garden during social hour you’ll find your perfect setting. This inn is well suited for couples of any age with some families there too. The historic house has all the amenities you could need and is more than just a place to get delicious breakfast! It is located down a quiet cobble street with ample guest parking and very little traffic. Within minutes you can walk to any spot in old city and use their beach access to relax worry free along the shore. Just a note: the city has a lot to offer you’ll want a few days to take it all in.
