I went to Voodoo Brewing for the first time on 9/15, what a beautiful location! Unfortunately, I was very disappointed by the actual brewery. First off, no menu was provided but they had QR codes at every table. The menu that loads from the QR code shows fries as the side for every burger. When you click on a burger, it never even mentions that chips are the default side. I was disappointed when my $15 hamburger did not arrive with the fries as pictured. Second, the food was close to cafeteria/stadium quality. The burger was from a previously frozen puck, close to a $5-7 value. All the food came out within 3-5 minutes of ordering. Lastly, the app they encourage you to use in lieu of having wait staff, charges added fees on top of the already high bill. The venue is gorgeous which makes it depressing that this place just felt like a tourist trap or some brew pub version of Applebee's.

The aesthetics of this place are on point — I loved the artwork, architecture, and overall vibes of the restaurant. They had a cute little fireplace, an outdoor patio with great views, and cute photo opportunity areas. However, the overall dining experience was a little odd. The restaurant doesn’t have servers, so basically you just order your food/drinks from a QR code on your table and the food runners deliver everything to you. If you want a water, boxes, or any other condiments/items — well, you’re on your own because no one is stopping by to ask (definitely makes tipping confusing….). The prices are also kinda outrageous for having 0 service staff. But, the food was still good. So, that’s all that matters… right???

Nice place- quality beer, good food, service is adequate, and there’s routine event-nights to look forward to. No real complaints. They also have a nice outdoor everywhere to sip and people-watch.

we stopped for some grub and I ordered their Spicy Salmon Quinoa Poke Bowl; not the best I’ve ever had but it wasn’t terrible either, ingredients were okay fresh I guess, decent portion, their Chips were delicious! Quick service and all the ladies working at the bar were nice & friendly

The beer is good, the food was ok (burger bun was a bit soggy), the service was non-existent, but at least the view outside the facility was nice. The complete lack of servers and full reliance on patrons scanning qr codes and forcing the entire table, young old and everywhere in between, to stare at their phones to order blows. It makes the atmosphere very blah. The system didn't work super well for us, it end up double ordering (two identical orders came to our table) while displaying errors on the check out page. Also, while the food was good it came out so fast, it is clearly frozen/microwaved or something that isn't fresh prepared. Maybe I'm wrong but my burger bun was deflated and overly moist like a fast food burger bun. Lastly, the staff at the bar, where you can get service, the night I was there had no useful knowledge of the beer. Watching them hunt for the right tap was pretty disappointing too. The cocktails all look and sound good, the one we had was good but they're all premixed which is again sort of disappointing given the price point being identical to a nice bar that makes better drinks from scratch in front of you. In summary... Bring back staff that can service patrons at a table and if you can, find bar staff who are interested in being knowledgeable on the primary product!

An okay brewery, not really for people who enjoy a typical brewery scene. The beer list is very diverse and worth the visit. The establishment is nice with lots of tables, board games, and a view of the city. The menu has a good selection of bar foods. What hurts this place is the lack of service. You are expected to order from an online service. Staff is absent most of the time so it is hard to get info about beer or food. When we finally did find a staff member we were told everything we needed was online. Other breweries in the area provide more personable service.

My husband and I had a great time. The beers are great and the atmosphere is amazing. We visited on a Saturday afternoon before a Pirates game. The place was packed but we had no problems getting our order in. We also went back for Good Vibes Yoga on Sunday morning which was a great practice and the view is beautiful! We will definitely be back when our travels take us to the North Shore again!

Dined in twice now and as much as I love the concept of the locally sourced food menu, it's been a bit disappointing in it's execution. The first time I had the brussels sprouts and the duck Cuban. The brussels sprouts were just okay, not crispy enough for my tastes. The Cuban was a great idea but fell flat from having too little duck to adequately replace that good pork flavor that one expects. The meal was fine enough that I'd still give it another chance. The second visit though was just flat out disappointing. I ordered an Ugly Delicious (grilled cheddar, pepperjack, bacon and kimchi). There was no spice whatsoever to the pepperjack cheese and virtually zero kimchi giving any kind of acid, heat or crunch to the sandwich. It just tasted very fatty and one note, between the bacon and cheese. I opened up the sandwich at one point to see if there really was kimchi and there were a couple of strands of cabbage, certainly not enough. I would have asked for more, but, you don't really have a server there, asking you if everything is okay. You only interact when they deliver the food or another round of bar orders. The service team functions well as runners and they are speedy, but, not actually available at other times as they tend to congregate out of sight to flag them down. Had a similar problem on the first visit when I needed a to go container for my leftovers. That took a while to get attention. On this visit, we also used the QR code system to order 6 packs to go. It wasn't clear at all if those would be delivered to the table or if we were to grab from the case on the way out. We eventually made our way to the case and told the servers congregating at the corner of the bar that we had paid for beer to go. At that point, they bagged it after checking that we had paid on a device near the host stand. I should add that it was not busy either time i visited in late weekday afternoons, so service was prompt. Been a longtime Voodoo Brewing fan so I'll stick to the excellent beer in the future and eat elsewhere.

Awesome brewery right next to the stadium!! Great food, gotta try the pickle pizza on Mancini's bread! And hats off to the best bartender at Voodoo...Dan!!! Super helpful with our beer selection. Definitely will come back for more! Don't miss this place.

My family and I stopped in to grab a bite to eat right before the Steelers game and it was the only place that didn't have a 90+ minute wait. After the experience we had, I see why. My brother and one of his friends ordered the chili. My cousin got loaded fries. My brother's friend's wife got a salad and I got the brisket grilled cheese with a cold apple cider. All of the food was cold. The salad dressing was very thin and runny. You could tell all the food had been sitting somewhere for quite a while before it was delivered to our table. Who wants cold food on a cold day??!! The server didn't bring my apple cider. He told me that "the orders at the bar were backed up". I have never experienced anything like that where my food came before my drink. I ended up going to the bar to get my drink which was sitting up there for quite a while because the ice was melting and the whipped cream was a soupy pool on top. That was a one and done for us. The brisket had great flavor, but it probably would have been better hot. I really wish the experience would have been better because the menu looks really great. 12/07/2022....It has been 2 weeks since I did this review and I reached out to the business as they requested, and I still have not received a response from them. I sent a follow up email and there was not a response to that one either. That is not the way to treat your customers. The company I work for has events on the North Shore all the time. I will be sharing my experience with upper management and advise them to take their business elsewhere. What a disappointment not once, but twice!!!

Went to the new Voodoo before a concert the other evening for a few beers and a bite. The pretzel with beer cheese was a perfect bar snack, the Smoked Duck Cuban was excellent, and the two IPAs were top notch! Also, the ordering app and service were quick and efficient.

Delicious food, tasty drinks (definitely get the Bloody Mary), and the service is always wonderful. Today was our first brunch experience (we usually come for trivia night) and wow. The menu was so creative and everything came out fast and tasted amazing. We love the atmosphere and how friendly everyone is. North Side locals are lucky we have Voodoo! P.s. your sign says to name favorites in reviews but the whole staff is great. Give them all a raise!!

Absolutely the best place to eat in North Shore! Very conveniently located between both of the stadiums and Stage AE and the food is PHENOMENAL! Genuinely the best beignets I've had in my entire life. Very artsy relaxed atmosphere as well with lots of outdoor seating phasing the river. Can't believe this is my first time but it definitely won't be my last!

Had lunch today at VooDoo North Shore. Ordering was super easy, prices were good, and the while place had a pretty relaxed environment. I did order a pint glass and 4pk to go while ordering my food. There was a little confusion over this cause I didn't get a receipt showing these items on it but the lady running the merch table took care of it no problem.

As a Styx fan, I had to try the OH Mama beer. When we entered the dining area and saw the Styx wall hanging, we were a bit too excited. The generous portions of food were delicious and they provide fabulous options for dietary restrictions. I have recommended it to many others already. Especially other fans that visit the Burgh.

A Happy Hour expensed by my work allowed a good number of us to come down and enjoy an evening after work. Just managing to beat a Pirates game, we were seated as things started to heat up, and though they seemed a little low on staff, they did everything to make sure we had the best time we could. Us and everyone else who attended. Drinks aren't usually my thing, but everything here was good. The food better for me than the drinks, but I enjoyed a crisp mojito and a Maple Manhattan as well. The Manhattan hit pretty firmly, but that let it last me the duration of our time. I'd definitely say to swing down if you get the chance!

One and done for this place! Seriously sick of these new places where there is no host and no servers, just food runners and that’s it. Ugh yuck. The pizza was great, but they didn’t bring any plates or silverware. What are we supposed to eat it on??? Service? What service?? And then when you flag someone down for help they act all annoyed. Never ever again. Some people think we have this amazing new dining scene in Pittsburgh? You’re out of your damn mind if you think that’s the case. Nope. Horrible at best, I say. Build more places with ACTUAL SERVICE and not overrated Gen Z staff with attitude problems.
