Before I wrote this, I sent two separate emails to the one I saw Hand and Stone reply to in other replies, asking for the person to reach out to them. I had no reply to either. The only pros to the place is that it was always clean and a few of the employees seem professional and knowledgeable Scheduling seems to be an issue that needs a lot of improvement. I've had an appointment I showed up for to be told the woman doing the service was out sick and the front desk forgot to call me to reschedule. I've seen a few people in the waiting room experiencing either the same thing or making comments about an appointment error. I had the Crysoslimming done. I purchased two packages of five sessions each. My results stopped after my third session. I purchased both being assured that they would work and when I originally scheduled my .sixth session, my intentions were to buy just the one and hope for the best. Before the appointment, was called asking to schedule the other four appointments in the package and basically was pressured to purchased another package. I would not recommend anyone to buy even a single package and to do session at a time and I would not recommend anyone to do this service at Hand and Stone Upper St Clair. The person who was initially doing my treatments left before my final session and I was seen that day by a woman who clearly has no idea what to do. She told me it was the first time she was doing it and I spent half of the appointment with the hose on my neck before she tucked it under my arms to keep it out of her way. She also made a few comments about my appearance that I felt were offensive. Long story short, do not go here unless you're willing to risk inconveniences and having your time and money wasted. Hand and Stone had no problem taking a lot of money but did absolutely nothing to offer compensation for very unsatisfactory results and treatment. . .

I recently got the monthly membership as I thought it would be a nice thing for me to do for myself. I’ve had 2 appointments In the last month get canceled. I understand that life happens and things come up, but now it has me questioning if I should have even gotten the membership. Then when rescheduling, you can’t get in for another 3 weeks which makes it even more inconvenient, especially for someone who doesn’t have a consistent work schedule.

I had two facials so far. I enjoy coming here and it's all nice however last visit I specifically clarified the length of the service, I was told 1 hr and 15 mins for the facial. My facial didn't start until 2:07 pm and ended at 2:52 pm. way below 75 min mark. I read multiple reviews and it seem like it is an occurring thing. I would liked a full service since that what it's intended for. On my first treatment I remember having lots more steps than previous one, it was so short that I don't believe all the steps of the facial were done. I definitely felt more glowy on my first facial. I have another one scheduled hopefully that one doesn't cut short like last one.

Came here for a prenatal massage and the experience was not so great. On the survey I was emailed, I said I wanted to be contacted about my experience and its been a few weeks and I was never contacted. Would not recommend coming here if you are pregnant, it is a complete waste of money. Massage therapist only massages your arms and legs, completely skipped the neck, back, and feet and I wasnt even put in a side lying position or offered.

I came to Hand and Stone in Upper St Clair today for a birthday massage treated to me by my husband. I booked my massage for Saturday at 2:00pm. The booking process was not bad and the person who helped me was the same person who checked me in and out. I got there today 15 minutes early (1:45pm) to make sure I did not have any additional paperwork to do, (I completed everything prior to the appointment to avoid any delay in my massage) I was called back by my message therapist Deacon at 2:00pm we chatted about the areas that I was wanted to work on. I mentioned to him that I have had some tightness in my shoulders and back due to weightlifting and my occupation but mentioned to him to do the whole body as it’s not a major issue. He stepped out, let me undress and came back within a minute. I request a deep tissue massage because back home I would get deep tissue massages from a person who got her certification in Thailand. This massage was very uncomfortable, the pressure was overbearing and I felt myself not enjoying the massage that much. He spent a lot of time on my shoulder and back, rarely touched on my legs and did not touch my feet at all. He would check in from time to time to see how I was doing but I never felt comfortable enough to say that the pressure was too much. There was a point during the massage where he asked if I had scoliosis because the way my spine was shaped. (Note: I do sleep on my back but I go to yearly checks up for my doctor and this has never been brought up) I felt like this was a little weird to mention. He proceeded to point out where the deviation in my spine was. Anywho, getting to the point in the massage where I turn around on my back, he starts to massage my shoulders and arms and goes “unfortunately we are out of time”. He leaves the room and I look at the clock and it’s 2:52pm. Note that I got there early and was brought back to the room at 2:00pm and my massage didn’t start until like 2:05 after the talking undressing and coming back into the room. So really this was a 45-50 minute message when I paid for a 60 minute massage. I paid $69.95 since i had a discount but for people to be expected to pay full price (I believe is $102) and only get a 45-50 minute massage is crazy. The location was convenient, the spa was clean and the front desk person was nice but overall my massage was not what I was expecting. I will not be returning and probably should stick with small business owned massage places for now on.

Gianna is amazing, and so sweet. She makes the experience so wonderful. I love her massages, and I will definitely be back more than once!

I bought a membership this year and ended up canceling it due to time. What they don’t tell you is that once you cancel your credits that you paid for are only good for 90 days. I had paid for 2 credits that I never was able to use. So unless you want to pay for services you’ll never receive I don’t suggest using this company, customer service was horrible. I have never heard of paying for credits and having a company pocket the money.

Therapists and staff all very professional and friendly. Facility is clean and has a calming atmosphere. Subscription makes getting a monthly message affordable. You are able to schedule with a therapist of your choice which is nice so they get to know you and what you like. Hard to just get an hour message usually do the 90 minutes, it goes so fast. Love Hand and Stone

As someone who has had spa experiences all over the world, I think this is a beautiful experience and excellent massage. With the membership particularly, an excellent value for the money. My one note: I saw the other reviews regarding service time. While they are very clear that your service time includes consultation, undressing etc., I would say that cuts into the service time a bit more than I’ve experienced in other places. (In fairness, other places will often leave you under a hot pack or something for five minutes or so at the end, it’s not like you’re receiving more massage.) This is not something that bothers me, because the massage did exactly what I wanted it to do! But it is a policy they may want to revisit eventually since it apparently really bugs some people!

I had Gianna as my massage therapist for a Himalayan Salt Massage with CBD. They need to clone her. It was tough getting an apt with her originally however the wait was worth it. She is knowledgeable and professional. However very sweet and made me feel very comfortable. I have never in all of my years had a massage this good. She is excellent and more than 5 stars. I found the people at the front desk efficient and i signed up for the membership. Hoping after reading the reviews it will be ok. anyways great experience and i couldn't be happier.

This was my first time visiting the Upper St. Clair location but not my first massage/spa experience. To start the older blonde/gray haired woman at the front desk was not very welcoming. I booked aromatherapy (specifically peppermint) once in the room the masseuse told me "I can't do peppermint it makes me sick" and proceeded to run down other scents that I would "have to" choose from. What if I chose peppermint because other scents make me sick? After all I was the client. I booked this appointment 3 weeks in advance, the spa should not have put me someone who could not handle my selections. But it didn't stop there. I also booked a paraffin hand treatment and a foot scrub. The masseuse advised me that she couldn't do my paraffin on my hands because she only had one hand mitten so I would either have to choose paraffin on my feet and a hand scrub or both a hand and foot scrub. Again, this is not what I booked and paid for and to so definitively and unapologetically say this is what you have to do. The "massage" itself left a lot to be desired as well. I'm not sure if the girl was new or what but needless to say I do not recommend this Hand and Stone location, it leaves a lot to be desired.

I always leave from my monthly massage with Abigail refreshed and ready to go! Her scalp/head/neck/jaw massage can’t be beat. I received a gift certificate for a massage which is how I found H&S, and I signed up for a membership after my first visit. Completely worth the cost, and the cost isn’t really all that much when you compare it to other massage facilities. Highly recommend.

Caity is amazing! She is very attentive and her techniques are super impressive. I walk out feeling super relaxed and notice an immediate difference. I always try booking with her now. The women working the front desk are always so kind and welcoming as well.

Carli is an absolutely wonderful esthetician who saved my skin! I had gone to a different location and the person who had done my facial there made me break out! It was really bad. I went to Carli very upset and she eased my worries and helped me! Absolutely wonderful and I highly, highly recommend her! She is so kind and very detailed oriented. She took her time with my skin and assessed the situation. She knew exactly to do and my skin is finally back to normal only after 2 days! And my skin was terrible! I don't even suffer from acne and it was my very first breakout, so I was very stressed. Carli will be the only person to do my facials from now on! Seriously go to her.

I was really unhappy with my visit. I was supposed to get an hour long Swedish massage, and I received a (Maybe) 50 minute deep tissue massage that left me sore and the opposite of relaxed. The masseur was socially awkward and never asked how the pressure was or if he needed to adjust anything. His strokes were very methodic and at one point i was receiving hamstring and quad stretches that were painful and just odd. I'd suggest researching your massage therapist before going and hopefully you will have a more enjoyable experience than I did.

Liz is the best! She always takes care of my wife and I and they are super flexible with our appointments. The staff have been very helpful in setting up a massage benefit for our employees. Great place!

I have never had a bad massage here. I love my therapist ! She really listens to my needs of what is hurting and gets to helping me relieve the pain. I have sciatic pain and a stiff neck. I feel like a million bucks afterward. Gianna is wonderful.

I had made an appointment at another hand and stone and was called 2 days before to cancel because the massage therapist was unable to come in. I called the location in Cranberry in a panic because the appointment were supposed to be for my sister and her wife's anniversary. I spoke with the receptionist who got me in touch with Sam their manager who was absolutely AMAZING!!! Not only did she find them appointment on the day I needed but at the exact time so they could still be taken care of together. My sister and her wife said everyone was amazing there from start to finish when they went and made their anniversary start off in a really great way! They were so I great I even made an appointment for myself as well!

One of the most relaxing massages I’ve had. They definitely make sure YOU are comfortable (ex: not conversing unless it’s wanted. I find it more relaxing to just get out of my head and sit in silence and she didn’t make me feel bad for that)
