Stayed at this location for work. The staff is amazing and so kind! George and the rest of the staff created an environment that felt welcoming and helpful. The king suite was huge and I would forever pick the suite over a traditional room. The proximity to the conference center was great. They have a small outdoor courtyard that was perfect to just sit back and enjoy some fresh air. You also have many restaurants right across from you on a road that is not super busy. Would recommend and stay again.

The hotel seems recently renovated. Our room was nice and clean. The front desk was friendly and accommodated my request for a new iron very quickly. The breakfast at the partnering restaurant next door left lots to be desired both in options and friendliness. Coffee in the lobby would be a great addition!! Valet process upon arrival was easy. The price of 24$ is what I would expect in a big city. We had a back alley view and the noise level was moderate. Definitely got woken up a few times through the night by street noise. Great proximity to the convention center. Would stay here again!

I liked the location. The floors were too creaky. I don't want to hear that sound every time a walk or someone in the room above me. That's my only complaint.

Nothing special that would differentiate this hotel from other similar chains. However, the service was good and fast. They were able to check me in before noon and the price is great. Highly recommend for work travel.

In town at the convention center for a tournament, the Courtyard was a great location that was just around the corner. The staff was very helpful, and the rooms were nice - our 3rd floor room had 14' ceilings in their historic building! The room was clean and comfortable, and the building felt secure. I would SKIP the attached Standard Market & Pint House for breakfast. My 3 ("over easy") Eggs Made Your Way took 15 minutes to come out yolks broken and over-hard; my son fared no better with his breakfast sandwich. Toast was cardboard-ish dry white, not "Texas." The panhandler going about the space wasn't a bonus. Many other restaurants in the area made it easy to find better food. Hotel noise can be an issue - regrettably we faced Penn Ave which had a LOUD club across the street (and rowdy/questionable crowd till wee AM hours) - avoid that side if you can. Decent WiFi, but totally not worth it "premium" ... did better tethered to my phone. So - great stay overall, but skip the breakfast option.

Really accommodating staff in this former-warehouse converted into a uniquely hip hotel! This property is in a safe, very trendy, foody-friendly section of Pittsburgh close to the sporting venues. Moreover if there isn’t anything you want to eat within 3 blocks, there’s even more mouth watering eateries within a 10 minute stroll. Easy valet parking as well.

A great desk staff and a great location are marred by the lack of bell service and other amenities that it's price warrants. The The room we had needed several repairs including a plug sink and poor phone. Front end and engineer did a great job of fixing those things and other things we have to report. The need of repairs would only grant this place four stars but the pricing in the lack of service without a price cost them another star. I paid $35 for parking for the convenience. Basically nothing really bad about the place except for it was priced way out of its quality.

Stayed here on business, excellent service, perfect location right in center of beautiful downtown Pittsburgh. Made the Sheraton I stayed at earlier in week seem like a toxic waste dump. My room was ready when I got there but the staff was so accommodating they deserve the highest praise.

The housekeeping in this hotel is terrible. We stay there for five days, but the housekeeper only comes once in alternate day, thus, we have only 2 service. Unfortunately the service is very sloppy. In day 3, the housekeeper only drop the towels in front of our room but don't come in to clean up our room. While in day 5, the house keeper comes and replace the towel and empty the trash can but forget to vacuum the floor and refill shampoo and body wash as requested. However, I have to thank the hotel manager for her great service because she actually comes in person to make up our room. She's a friendly, helpful and responsive person.

There were stained linens and towels even after I requested them changed. ( I don't think she did.) Housekeeping left soiled pillow cases on floor, didn't replace towels, no extra toilet paper, didn't empty trash so I just avoided the cleaning. The floors in the hallway werec reeky as if the carpet was covering wood floors. Had to ask for lights to sit at the Pods to learn the tvs were inoperable. Pipes vibrate when showering

cons: we had valet service from our initial check-in. valet had our keys in their possession the entire time and returned them to us the second day of our stay with our Apple AirTag that was attached to our set of keys missing. we informed hotel managerial staff and they proceeded to not only stand by the valet employee’s side, they searched through our room without our permission while we were out. not sure why they felt to handle this situation by searching our room when the valet had our keys with them at all times downstairs in the lobby. not to mention that same employee we suspect stole it mentioned it to us before it went missing and then, proceeded to not be present at work for any of the days to follow. John (nighttime manager) was completely dismissive and condescending, directing us to have George (daytime manager) handle instead. we had five days of valet total and George comped us for three FUTURE valet days. needless to say, they did not rectify this situation correctly at all. our property was clearly stolen and we were treated like the culprits instead, as opposed to simply reimbursing us the $27 for the AirTag or comping us valet days for our CURRENT stay. the money was never the issue, it is the PRINCIPLE that we were paying guests and were not treated as such in any capacity. very disappointing, considering I always love courtyard marriotts, but no need to ever visit this location to stay at again room was rushed for cleanliness, oily residue on hotel door upon check-in, no extra towels or even toilet paper pros: great location downtown with a lot of restaurants, bars, amenities, and even a starbucks across the street

Great hotel in a great location! John was an incredibly welcoming employee. He helped me figure out where to walk around an even let me use his personal charger in my room. Highly recommend and hope you get to interact with John!

We enjoyed our stay here. The front desk was very busy when we checked in but they were still very friendly. I observed several interactions during my stay & they always seemed informed & kind. Our room was nice but we did notice some signs of mildew on the shampoo holder. We enjoyed the courtyard in the evening to get away from the street noise. We opted out of valet parking but had good luck with street parking all weekend. The location was very walkable to many popular areas in downtown.

First of all, the staff made this visit the best. When we left, I think my children talked more about how nice the staff were than anything else. Our room (527) was clean and kept up with for the most part. Our bathroom was not the best, it appeared to have mold in the shower grout and the vent was covered in dust/mold. If there should have been a bathroom fan it didn’t work. Some of the in room toiletries were empty but were filled upon request. The in room coffee items were out of stock, the ice machines on our floor and the courtroom floor did not work, and we were unable to access the other levels. The staff on the main floor provided us with ice and coffee due to the issues. Although we don’t love using a valet, the valet here were quick and very friendly. Our walk to Heinz Field (Acrisure Stadium) wasn’t too long, and there were plenty of restaurants within the general area of the hotel. Overall it was a great stay and we would stay here again.

Worst experience. My flight was canceled due to the weather. They wouldn't credit any money back for the remainder of the reservation. I paid in full upfront and then was charged 33% more days later on a charge that no one can explain. Reaching them by phone is impossible. I've gone through the entire phone tree attempting to reach the front desk, management, or any person that can assist or provide some semblance of an intelligent response; but nothing. If you're part of the Courtyard Marriott Pittsburgh Downtown, you can get my contact info from the confirmation number to resolve this. #77567848

The lobby and staff were very friendly. However upon walking into our room there was an extremely strong smell of cigarette and scent mixed which I didn't like especially having a toddler. But other than that the stay was pleasant.

I am a pretty loyal Marriott member and always stay at their hotels. My air travel to get to Pittsburgh was cancelled and I had to cancel the trip -- they enforced a steep cancellation fee despite this being out of my control and my loyalty. I will stay with Hilton the next time I am coming to town.

Good location. It is right next to the convention center. a few minutes walk to the river side, and to the center of the downtown as well. Room is spacious and nicely decored. Hotel offers valet parking, but there are parking available nearby in the convention garage or city parking garage (all need to pay). Hallway carpet is a bit outdated

Great location and service! However the room did not match the photo and was quite old. It was also not properly cleaned once I got in, there were visible stains in the garbage bin, some nuts on the carpet under the desk, and there was no toilet paper provided, I had to ask for it. The appliances in the room were also very noisy and prevented me from sleeping properly.

Our stay was fantastic. The supervisor Christina was very nice and responded quickly to our phone call for parking. Came outside to flag us down. Sidaya at the front desk was also very helpful, and kind. 5 stars to the staff at this hotel, outstanding.

Not many reviews or it’s says on the hotel description that there is a rooftop bar front of the hotel and they play loud music till 1 in the morning. If you are traveling with kids don’t get a city view room. Infact don’t stay here. The front desk staff are friendly. They agreed on a late check out but couldn’t do anything about the noise. The location is amazing everything is close by. Great restaurants and side seeing places are of a walking distance from the hotel. The hotel is over priced based of the condition of the hotel.

I stay here every year when I'm in town for a convention at the David Lawrence Convention Center, it's such a great hotel! The inside is really pretty, with lots of space to meet and gather throughout the hotel. This year we had a room above the attached restaurant which had a lovely view of Penn Avenue and it was just incredible! Very clean, always have friendly staff working, it's just a great place to stay!

Great hotel in a fantastic location! It is actually the closest hotel to the Pittsburgh Convention Center. The city view side overlooks all the excitement on Penn Ave. and the backside overlooks the Convention Center. The hotel has been updated and my room was gorgeous with very high ceilings, modern furniture, large smart TV and a coffee maker. I stayed for several days so it would have been nice if they had a microwave in the room. All of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. All in all, I had a great stay!

Not much for the price. Good location and friendly service but no pool or breakfast. We went to the attached restaurant at 9:30 on a Sunday morning and they told us they had already stopped serving breakfast. Housekeeping never came.

We stayed March 4-5, 2023. Cleanliness is my main concern. Things have to look clean and be sanitized. This hotel did a wonderful job of that. The only issue was towels and rags still having stains on them, but you should bring your own stuff anyway. I’d say this is the best hotel in Pittsburgh. Thanks.

Check in was great! Rooms exceptionally clean. Only had an issue with outdoor courtyard. Apparently hotel catered a banquet party in main lobby which was more, of why the hotel reps was not so attentive to guest needs. Me and my husband are smokers. Used reception phone from fitness center to contact front desk for entry to outdoor courtyard to smoke on 3rd floor. No entry, doors was locked. Rep agreed, asking us to wait for a supervisor. After 10 mins, called down to front desk again. He bluntly stated no supervisor is able to come up and unlock entry. Entry states on door 6AM-10:30PM. Also, I had to fax a paper for my business and unfortunately able to not do so, as business center was currently locked as well. None of the amenities were accessible to me. Market downstairs for refreshments had extreme pricing too, $7 ice cream?!. Breakfast was not complimentary. Enjoyed my stay for the most part, but will not return. As a Marriott Bonvoy member too, highly disappointed.

I had a great experience here. Highly recommend. You should budget for valet parking on weekends. The hotel is nice and clean and big and the staff could not have been more accommodating.

The hotel is in a great location, which is convenient to many of the restaurants and shops downtown. Its also very secure inside and all amenities worked, including the water dispenser and laundry room. They also go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay and that the hotel is clean, especially on the days you get housekeeping.

I had the pleasure of spending a weekend at this location. Check in was an absolute breeze the folks at the front desk were and total dream to deal with. I can't remember names, but everyone I spoke to went well above and beyond. Even remembering and using our names. Even the valet staff were attentive and great to deal with. The hotel is in a great location, we were in town to watch the Toronto Blue Jays play and the walk over to PNC park was about 10-15 minutes. We valeted our car, which was a very cheap cost per day. They even went got our car for us, then re-parked it after we had grabbed some things out of it and put it back. Absolutely amazing. The rooms are great, we had a room that faced the courtyard, which yeah doesn't have the best view. But get a life if you're going to complain about it. How much time do you plan to spend in the room? The room was perfect for us, high ceilings, great AC, good size TV and bathroom. I'd be back at this place in a heartbeat and I would recommend it to anyone in the area. Big thanks to Lisa as well, she gave me a ton of great recommendations and REALLY went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great!!

The definition of mediocrity. If you're a gold or higher Elite member, don't waste your time with this hotel. They do not offer any of the Elite benefits listed on the website. No pool, either. However, the valet service was AMAZING, and so was the location. Lots of good restaurants nearby, like the Mexican one across the street. The rooms had high ceilings and were generally clean.
