My experience at this outpatient clinic was the worst experience in a children’s clinic by far . My original doctor wasn’t in and the facility gave me another , they didn’t bother to notify me prior that this. Grande would occur. Due to that change I was faced with one of the worst parent doctor relationships I had ever experienced. The new doctor just graduated 6 months prior And was not experienced in the least bit. She was rude, insulting , judgemental and ignorant of my sons health. My son was being seen for a well child visit and I asked for a heavy metal toxicity test which she declined I then asked for a test to acquire his vitamins and mineral balance My son had been experiencing excema ( a rash in his thighs) I knew exactly what is was and just want a cream for it ) well she called it something else and suggested some other solution. I gave her evidence on how I knew it was excema and she had nothing not even words to support her “theory” I then told her my son was allergic to fluoride toothpaste as he would stutter and his nystagmus ( shaky eyes) would worsen immediately after brushing. She asked me about vaccines and I told her that my son had been adversely affected by then. I even gave her evidence to support that claim. She didn’t write a VEARS report , she didn’t provide me with info or cream reguarding my sons rash. Instead she proceeded to have me sign a form that contradicted my views as a parent with reguards to his vaccine schedule . When I refused to sign she came back with another doctor and tried to forcefully persuade me to sign against my will. I refused again, she then told me to wait in the office ( all the while she was trying to call the police to commit illegal medical kidnapping ) I had knew if another person who told me they had a similar situation I which the police showed up to intimidate them to sign. NOTE( it is illegal for health care workers to not respect your right to not vaccinate against your religious beliefs) they are labeled by the US Gov. as unavoidably unsafe . The Gov. has paid billions to parents whom have had to deal with the life long disabling impact of their child suffering an adverse reaction. This doctor also called child services on me . Child services were properly informed by their team that children cannot be surrendered due to a parents legal right and decision to not vaccinate. This doctor and many others do not know enough about our healthcare rights or the risks of the pharmaceuticals they sell on behalf of pharma. YOU MUST DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH AND SAVE THOSE DOCUMENTS AND WHAT YOU’VE LEARNED!!!! Many healthcare professionals are sadly under educated. There are infinite numbers of parents and other individuals whom have experienced this same dilemma. I am against the practice of doctors and all other health care staff bullying patients, parents, and caregivers. I am against their un informed consent practices. I STRONGLY believe we should be informed of our legal and GOD given rights to object to any medical procedure. Immunizations fall under the category of medical procedure. I STRONGLY believe patients should be given the DRUG package insert in order to be better informed of the ingredients and reported risk associated with the pharmaceutical drug given. I left this practice and took my family and friends to a facility where our LEGAL and GOD GIVEN RIGHTS WERE AND ARE STILL RESPECTED .

Went to Children’s 1/31/18 because my son has signs of the flu. His temperature was 104 so they seen him immediately (within minutes). They gave him meds and an IV for his temperature and dehydration. The first nurse said his blood pressure was still low and may have to keep him. She also tested him for strep throat (still don’t understand how she assumed that) . She got off of shift and the second nurse said that they were keeping him. The doctor comes in and says he can leave and prescribed meds to keep him from vomiting and higher dosages of Motrin/Tylenol. He seemed good until the next afternoon when he appears worse than initially. He was 104 again and still not eating, taking in some water and urinating even more. This time we go to a closer UPMC (2/1) and they take an X-ray and run more test. Shortly after we learn that he actually has PNEUMONIA! I guess Dr. Buttons at Children’s missed that because he wanted to quickly free up a room; it was PACKED. I am glad that I took him right back instead of just giving him fever medicine as I was told to do and letting it get worse. His lungs filling with fluid is not the same thing as the flu or a common cold. This error could have caused my son his life or future hospitalization !!!!! Parents, do not assume that because it’s flu season that it is the flu or common cold (although that’s what overwhelmed doctors are doing). I asked for a flu test and was told they don’t do those unless the child has other underlying issues or is extremely young?? So I guess they just treat everyone as though it’s a common cold or flu. However, had they tested him and seen that it wasn’t the flu the real issue could have been identified! I’m just glad that I’m a parent that pays attention. This could have went terribly wrong and then I would have reacted accordingly! Do better Dr. Buttons, great personality but poor judgement. Great facility but appear to be getting slammed by patients. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Our experience with CHP was great. The hospital looks great and is very clean; there are beautiful sculptures and murals any child and parent would enjoy. The cafeteria was probably the best I've seen in any hospital. Our doctors and all ancillary staff who took care of our baby were top notch. Best hospital experience ever.

This place is ridiculous! They make you and baby wait for 2 or 3 hrs each and every appt. We were there once for 4 hours! They claim to have genetic testing results in 2wks. No way because it takes minimum of 6wks to properly do genetic testing for this particular disease. Now we have to retest baby at new dr because we cant trust the lab these people use. Dont waste ypur life going here.

Making an appointment here is crazy,I was given an appointment, 2months later. You can imagine ,and we are in September . How crazy is that, can't someone give me an appointment for the month of September not November. The doctor's are good ,the appointment time is horrible .They don't schedule appointments for the right month.Very frustrating to the parents.
