We enjoyed our visit to the Creation Museum. It is a very detailed museum with beautiful exhibits. However, I feel like this is just a one time visit attraction. I would not visit this museum multiple times. The animals were underwhelming, but that make have been due to cold, foggy weather on the day of our visit. The best part was the gardens and the Christmas lights. The lights are beautiful and so are the grounds, even in winter. I can’t imagine how beautiful the gardens must be in the spring and summer.

Unique museum presenting the literal biblical timeline of the story of creation. Multiple detailed interpretive displays beginning with the creation of the universe and following the timeline of history from the biblical Christian perspective. The museum & grounds are generally open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. However, during the holiday season the Christmas Town event is open until 8:30 pm and includes an amazing Christmas light display throughout the gardens surrounding the museum. There are fire pits & snack vendors and limited access to the museum for warming up. A planetarium is available for two different shows at a nominal extra fee. Two additional auditoriums have shows & videos as part of museum admission. Two indoor food vendors and a coffee/ice cream cafe all inside the main museum. There is also a coffee shop inside the welcome center. I would like you to return during growing season, as I can imagine that the botanical garden is quite spectacular in Spring. Parking is convenient to welcome center, so no shuttle needed. Petting zoo is undergoing major construction, so exhibits are limited. Plenty of restrooms throughout.

The creation museum is an absolute must see especially if you are visiting the Ark encounter as well. There is so much to do inside and outside it kept everyone in our family entertained! We were also able to feed our family of five for $28 at the Noah Cafe. I was shocked because where can you feed your family of five for $28, especially being out? Wow. They also have souvenir cups for $19.99 each that have unlimited refills that you can use at the creech museum as well as the Ark encounter. My personal highlight was seeing the dinosaur that had original bones in its skeleton as well as the original skull still intact! Just cool to see something like that. Another highlight for us was the different speakers and activities that they have scheduled throughout the day. We bought the 3-day pass that went between the Ark encounter and the creation museum and every day you come they hand you a schedule of the events of the day which was nice! There's a beautiful botanical garden and lots of areas to walk as well as a small zoo and fun animals to see. We sat outside for awhile and watched people zip line across the property, also a fun thing to see! We bought the 3-day pass for the Ark encounter and Creation museum and ended up going to the creation museum one day and the Ark 2 days. Our kids are 8,6, and 3.5 and this is what they preferred and we were wanting to do that too. So much to see and do, you can easily plan to stay a whole day here.

An extension to the Ark Encounter. This place was phenomenal! So much to see and learn. I suggest visiting here before the Ark to get a better understanding for little ones or new to the experience. From the 4D show to Noah's Cafe, EVERYTHING was amazing. Staff was super friendly and helpful. 5 STARS!

Had a wonderful time here. Just happened to visit on Fathers day and their special allowed free entry for Dad's plus kids 10 & under were free. There was so much interesting info to see and read about. Not so great w/an active 2yr old but we made due till the playground and animal expo. Easily spent about 5hrs (not including lunch) and had a great time.

Took our 9 year old grandson. Wasn't sure how he would like it but was pleasantly surprised. The 4D movie experiences were very good. The other movies were very well done also. The walk through the exhibits was a little more challenging to keep his attention but he learned a lot in the process. He liked the playground, the gem mining and the small zoo. Overall spent about 5 hours there including lunch and had a great day.

Very informative and amazing place to visit. I love the Dinosaur Exhibit, the history on Dragons “Dinosaurs”. The 4D Theater was enjoyable especially the story on creation. The Stargazer Planetarium was awesome especially the show on Created Cosmos, I loved it. The exhibit on Adam and Eve and the fall of man was very cool. The explanation on how things were before and after sin and how it affected man, animal and plants was wonderfully explained. Highly recommend this experience.

Loved this place. Very informative and well built. The garden in front of the museum was beautiful. The food and ice cream sold were also good. The museum itself was very informative and realistic. The planetarium and the 4D movie theater is definitely not to be missed. I recommend buying a combo ticket if you plan on visiting this place and the ark encounter which is about 45 minutes drive from here.

Great museum with loads of information. Reasonably priced. Quite a bit of walking but you can rent a mobilized scooter. Many beautiful displays based on the Biblical stories of Creation. They also had information about dragons, dinosaurs, the 10 plagues, the teachings of Jesus, different bugs that God created and much more. They have shows but on the day we went 2 we were interested in had been cancelled due to staffing issues. We did go to a science one on life in a drop of pond water which was very interesting. They have plenty of restrooms and a couple different places you can eat. We did see displays we found to be very singularly personalized. Also there was a written display statement that said "God created the Earth in six, 24 hour days." God didn't create the sun and the moon to distinguish night and day till the 4th day of creation and man is the one who came up with the 24-hour day. The Bible does State creation took six days but it also states in 2 Peter chapter 3 that "one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day", so how can they claim definitively it was a 24 hour day? We spent 6 hours there and felt we had gotten to see everything.

The creation museum is a wonderful display of creationist thinking rooted in a biblical worldview. I interacted with a number of people who love God and were so kind that worked there. There were several exhibits that demonstrated with evidence and clarity the biblical worldview of creationism. I hope that more people can come and visit. There was an exhibit all about life and the fact that we as humans are fearfully and wonderfully made. It was colorful and beautifully designed.

Loved this place! The exhibits are top notch and very informative. We loved the planetarium and 4d theater shows too. Would love to go back again. It's a lot to go thru in one day. Hopefully they improve the zoo area, it was under renovations, because it was lacking. Their sister site's, The Ark Encounter, zoo was great. I highly recommend visiting both and learn the truth about God's Creation.

Wonderful experience. LOVE the snakes alive show! Lots to read. Kids are free in 2021, same for ark so we bought combo tickets. If you have young kids or kids who are hyper, no way you'll be able to read everything so take pics or by the book of signs/exhibits in the gift shop 😂

This was a great experience for our entire family. It may be a little tougher with younger children only because there is a TON of reading exhibits. Don’t get me wrong, the information is definitely interesting and everything was presented with excellence. Definitely make sure to visit the planetarium and 4d theater. The animal exhibit was unimpressive but the grounds and overall experience was well worth the money.

The family and I went here as part of our trip to The Ark Encounter. The Creation Museum is a sister attraction of The Ark Encounter. Not only can you learn about the creation of just about every living thing but they also have botanical gardens, a planetarium, petting zoo, shows, a couple of restaurants, gifts shops and more. We spent the whole day here. It was educational and fun.

This is my first visit to the Creation Museum, and I was very impressed with the quality of the exhibits, the friendliness of the staff, the availability of quality food and plentiful clean restrooms. Easy parking too. Some reviewers said you could get through in half a day, but this is not true. You really need to spend the entire day to take in the full experience. There’s so much to look at and a variety of events to attend throughout the day. This is a good family experience with a lot for kids as well. It was a very enjoyable experience and the botanical gardens are lovely. We visited the Creation Museum first, and the Ark Encounter the following day.

Love it here! Our kids enjoyed looking at everything and really enjoyed the Christmas lights walk. Spur of the moment decision to come and we are glad we did. We haven't been in almost 10 years. They've updated a lot of things and they've made things easy to walk through. Most things are accessible and signs are played where it's not. Note: steep prices!

We only visited the Christmas town because the actual museum cost is outrageous. Unfortunate for those who don't make high income. I'd think they should make it more accessible to the average family who would love to learn and explore more. The outdoor event, however, was gorgeous. I feel it's even better than the zoo's Festival of Lights. My 8 year old did get the chance to really enjoy the parts we could.

What an experience! Wow! Great staff. Huge campus. Larger than life exhibits. Live shows. A good tour will take you all day. I highly recommend the planetarium and the 4d show as well. They have motorized chairs for the elderly, plenty of restrooms and places to sit down here and there. The gardens/ponds outside are beautiful, and there is a playground for the kids.

The Creation Museum was a wonderful experience. We did the Ark Encounter a few years ago, but did not have time on that trip to also do the Creation Museum so this summer we planned another drive north from Florida to Kentucky specifically for the Creation Museum. I particularly loved the way it explains dinosaurs and the age of the Earth. As well as the views of science from a Creationist standpoint versus and evolutionists view. Fearfully and Wonderfully made was a beautiful exhibit. A bit shorter than I expected, but very well done. I did have some explaining to do about what abortion is to my 9 year old son based on that exhibit. There were several areas of the museum closed off. We were expecting it to be a full day and we were finished with everything in about 4.5 hours. The price is high for adults, but admission for children was free. It’s a hard location to find- a lot of single lane backroads and not many signs. Thankfully the GPS routed us there alright. I give the Creation Museum a 5 star because of the content and how well it was done. I was more impressed with the Ark Encounter and would visit that area again.

My visit to the Creation Museum in Kentucky was a truly enlightening experience that touched my heart and mind. As I explored the exhibits, I was deeply impressed by the thought and care put into each display, which seamlessly blended science, faith, and history. The museum's compelling presentations challenged my existing beliefs and encouraged me to think critically about the origins of life. It was a journey that left me with a profound sense of curiosity and wonder. The planetarium shows and the beautiful botanical gardens were personal highlights. They added a hands-on and immersive aspect to my visit, allowing me to engage with the museum's themes on a deeper level. 🌱🌌📖🤔

We enjoyed the museum and gardens. A lot more reading than I expected. I'm dyslexic so too much reading is overwhelming to me. In the exit survey I recommended they add an audio tour, possibly an app you can use to listen to what's in the exhibits. All of the staff was really friendly. We were there during the 40 days and nights of music and got to see a great band and a very funny Christian comedian.

My family and I spent a long weekend in Kentucky. The first day we visited the Ark Encounter and on the second day we enjoyed the Creation Museum. If you're out this way it is absolutely worth your time to see both places. My family had a wonderful time here and I hope to get back soon. My son took these pictures. You can get an idea of his favorite parts of the museum.

It's interesting, but not very child friendly or interactive. There is a lot of reading, and the large summer crowds made it difficult. The Planetarium is $9 per movie, or 2 for $14. Line up early to not get stuck in the front and/separated from your group. The movies are short and just okay. The arboretum is beautiful, definitely worth the walk. The moving bridge is so much fun! My advice is to walk this early before it gets too hot. Overall, the museum was very educational and worth visiting!

Amazing place! So much to see and absorb! We were not able to see everything even though we spent 1.5 days at this place. We were quite surprised that the place was pretty busy even on a Monday! Love the show at the Planetarium and the 4D theatre! Beautiful gardens, walkways, and bridges! Informative speakers! Gorgeous displays with so much researched detail to learn!!! Every thing is done with excellent at this place. So why only 4 stars? The food in the restaurant is expensive and leaves a lots to be desired. I had a small bowl of broccoli & cheese soup and it tasted gummy … like it was made with lots of flour! The french fried was soft! Strongly recommend people to bring their own lunches if you want something decent. Hoping some days the foods will catch up with the quality of the rest of the museum. Summary, it’s a very worthwhile visit. Strongly recommend getting the Bouncer Pass and use it to visit The Ark as well.

Really enjoyed our time here. Only thing that would make it better is more indoor little kids friendly/ hands on displays. A soft kids indoor play area would be an incredible way to make the creation story memorable and interactive, while giving parents a rest time between all the adult focused displays.

Great way to spend a day learning, eating, and shopping. There are several different shows you can watch while you are here. There is also a zoo and other activities for the family. We purchased the pictures they took of us and the price was very reasonable. There is a large dining area as well.

We come to Christmas Town every year. Some years we go through the museum as well. The lights are fantastic! They're much better than the Festival of Lights at the zoo and it's free, minus parking, to get in. The staff are always very nice and courteous as well. Our family has made this a Christmas tradition and look forward to it every year.

I have followed the creation museum and the Ark Encounter for years! So to finally be able to make the 9 hour drive and visit both this past weekend was surreal. I will admit that at first the Creation Museum was somewhat underwhelming, especially after visiting the Ark the day before. However, you have to keep perspective when visiting and realize that they are two completely different experiences. The creation museum is amazing, the gardens are beautiful, and the planetarium was cool to experience. The zoo seemed to be lacking but there is construction going on with that right now. Does this place have the same “wow” factor as the ARK? No … but it is still something you need to visit. Both places are an amazing pulpit for the gospel.

Fantastic. Such a nice, clean, professional atmosphere. Highly recommended for believers and skeptics alike. Take an open mind. My advice, visit creation Museum first before you visit the Ark. We did the opposite and wished we had done the museum first. Buy anything you find from Nathaniel Jeanson. Replacing Darwin Made Simple is an amazing evangelism tool. And only 5.99! The kids areas were closed for remodeling and it's still an easy 5 star review. I was concerned with the cost until we arrived. So much would be needed to keep both attractions in such beautiful condition.

This is a wonderful museum. Great service, good food with a decent price, and super clean. It is well done! The ONLY criticism I have, and really it’s just preference, is that I would NOT bring your child if they get scared easily. Mine did. There is also some adult-like content in their “Cave of Sorrows” (ex: holocaust photo, a woman shooting up heroine), so just be prepared for that, although it’s a small part of the exhibit. Again, it’s fantastic, just maybe not for preschool or even elementary age kids…depending on your child’s personality. There is lots of reading…although that is all museums! It is worth it if your child doesn’t run out screaming like mine did! But I’m thankful we have a place like this! Very cool. Love the pro-life section.

This is one of the most interesting places to visit! I was worried when I read other reviews on how people got through the museum in just a couple of hours but let me tell you… it was an all day experience for my family. If you can get through in just a couple of hours you didn’t do it right! Amazing!! Planetarium was awesome, the 4D show was awesome and above all, the staff was out of this world. Bravo! I would absolutely recommend going if you aren’t looking to be over critical on everything you see. If you aren’t a believer, it’s not the place to be because it IS all about the Biblical belief system and how and why it’s different from today’s science “facts”.

This was an amazing experience! If you want to do both this and the Ark, i definitely recommend doing them separate days if you want to be able to take your time walking through the museum. Lots of reading but my kids who are 2 months (obviously didn't have an opinion), 7, and 13 did enjoy looking at everything and reading about the display if it sparked their interest. There are nursing mothers rooms which is awesome since you will spend a 3 hours here. There is a path to walk through the gardens. If you have a stroller with you, I recommend parking it before going on the path because the bridges do say not strollers but walking the path is worth your time.

As a lifetime charter member, our family comes back often from Canada. The updates they've made over the past while are amazing, and the exhibits have in-depth detail. Give yourself a full day at the Creation Museum to take it all in, and another full day at the Ark Encounter. Plan to take in the live presentations too - there's a lot of great information that they present, and it is 100% relevant to today's culture.

Informative Review: This is a wonderful place to come and learn about creation. To be upfront, it's obvious in the name, this museum is centered in the Holy Bible and God creating everything. What many may not realize, including seasoned Christians, is that many of the exhibits provide the secular view beside the biblical. There's no "conversion" pressure and no requirement to donate. This is an educational opportunity to learn about the view of the created world versus the view of evolution which is widely accepted and taught in schools. Purchasing: If you are here for this museum or just passing through, the Creation Museum is linked to the Ark Encounter. Each is 45 minutes apart from one another. I recommend purchasing the combo pack where you get the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter. They don't need to be visited on the same day. Kids 5-10 are free with each adult ticket. For my trip, it was my wife and I with 2 children in that age. You can also purchase parking for each place in advance. Grand total $205. If you consider it, that's 2 days of entertainment at $102.50 each day. Is it worth it? Yes. We were there just shy of 6 hours. Entertainment: There are many, many exhibits, and a lot of presentations throughout the day. There is a 4d theater, which is free, an iMax theater which is fairly cheap (worth it), a playground for kids to get energy out, and a small zoo. It's easy to spend 4 or more hours here. Restrooms and Food: There are several restrooms, I went into 3 which were all well stocked and clean. There are also 3 or 4 places to get food, snacks, or drinks. I will say, the price of food and drinks is relatively high, but comparable with food/drink prices at most tourist attractions. Downsides: The playground is fairly small, but has enough to engage kids for a bit. The zoo was underwhelming, and even my daughter who loves animals lost interest in about 10 minutes. The zoo is included and I must say it looked like they were expanding because there was several construction projects ongoing. Other than that, everything was great! 10 out of 10. Highly recommend and we will go again.

We really loved the whole experience! Our daughter bought us the combo package tickets plus parking fee. Just like the ARK it's a lot of walking and yes they do rentals for wheelchairs, scooters and strollers. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to read while seeing all the wonderful animatronics while taking your photos. Some are interactive too! With the insect world😵 I had no idea how big some of them get around the globe!! Kids of ALL ages will enjoy this exhibit. From creation to modern times this museum is very enlightening and educational. Kids of ALL ages will enjoy it😉

There is a lot here to discover. Where did dinosaurs fit in? Dragons become reality? What do you think? It takes a few hours to get thru the main Creation Museum itself. There are other venues onsite as well. Check out the Planetarium show, the 4D Theater, Fearfully and Wonderfully Made, hit the Ropes and a Zip Line. There are lectures, a Zoo, a kid friendly Playground and Botanical Garden. There are a couple food choices, not to bad. You might want to bring a water bottle with you, .5 liter of water goes for $3.49. You'll probably want something. Plan your day and have fun.

The Creation Museum is an amazing world class attraction! We went through the museum and stayed for the Christmas lights. I love the botanical gardens. Everything is designed to make you think about the things that matter. It is a must-see for believers but done in a way that will not offend non-believers.

This place is amazing!! From the very time you step foot on the property you know this place is special. The property is well maintained and very scenic. There is so much to see. Every exhibit is detailed and leaves no doubt that God created man. The 4D movie "6 days" was beyond words. You are right there during each day of God's creation. You feel the wind, the water, the breath of the animals, every part of his majesty. Words are not enough. We ate at the cafe' for lunch. They have a wide assortment of hot and cold items to choose from. As you navigate through each exhibit you will see such detail. We spent over 6 hours reading and watching and did not quite finish. The staff are friendly and helpful. Thank you Ken Ham for honoring God through this wonderful ministry.

It is a very lovely and informative place. It was pretty expensive, and you are expected to pay for many of the events held during your visit. Food is chili, pure packaged salad, quick chicken tenders. Everything is very clean and well thought out. If you are a non Christian, the information may be new and is excellent. If you are a well-informed Christian, then it's enlightening and may help you to defend your faith to those who wrongly think there is no science to back your belief. There is a lot of information.

A lot of great information! Beautiful gardens. There is a small petting zoo and playground. However, many of the exhibits requires reading and aren't as interactive for younger kids. The visuals are neat, but the younger kids will move through quickly and older kids / adults will take much longer.

This is our fourth visit. We always have a great time looking at the beautiful displays and there is so much scientific research presented to support them and debunk macro evolution. The museum was absolutely packed with people learning about creation science (observational and historical) and the numerous phalacies contained within the hypothesis of evolution. Irreducible complexity is irrefutable. As Darwin wrote in his book, the lack of transitional fossils bridging species (family) is yet to be found, thus negating his hypothesis. Natural selection is contained within a "kind".

We had a great time visiting. We were in the area after our Ark Encounter trip decided to spend a day here too. Definitely recommend. There is a lot to read.... but also a lot to look at for the younger kids. The theater movie and planetarium is a must!

  • 3/5 Otis B. 2 years ago on Google
The museum itself was interesting enough. A lot to see and a lot of information. Displays are tastefully done however, I am not sure of the relevance of some of them. About $86 for the Ark and Creation museum combo ticket. A bit on the pricey side for what there is to see. The planetarium is not included in that price and is a separate charge completely. Parking has a separate fee of $15 per attraction added on to the all of the other small individual things that you find yourself paying for piece by piece. While the attractions were nice in my opinion they were pretty overpriced. For the cost, I would expect so much more to be included.
