Great
takeaway
lunch
spot!
Will
be
returning
when
I
visit
Big
Stone
Gap
again!
This
locally
owned
business
features
friendly
staff
&
great
flavor
varieties
for
an
affordable
price.
PRAISE:
-Lunch
options
feature
delicious
sandwiches
on
HOUSE
MADE
rolls
(or
crossaints),
soups,
bowls,
and
a
fair
number
of
potato
sides.
-Portions
are
perfectly
priced
for
grabbing
a
main
lunch,
a
sweet,
and
a
drink
all
at
once
without
feeling
sluggish.
-Cold
brew
coffee
is
STRONG💪!
-Add
in
flavors/mix-ins
for
drinks
have
great
variety
&
bold
flavors
-Staff
is
extremely
helpful
and
accommodating
for
order
customization
Con(structive
Criticism):
-I
would
like
to
see
an
option
on
the
menu
to
double
portion
sizes
for
a
price
increase
as
appropriate.
-Fries
seem
house
cut
&
oven
baked,
which
is
healthy
&
ok
but
having
them
just
a
little
crispier
would
push
it
over
the
moon.
(They
offer
an
order
of
fries
with
cheese
curds
&
gravy,
which
is
a
localized
version
of
Canadian
Poutine
and
I
do
recommend
it!
I
wish
the
gravy
was
a
little
thicker.)
-The
sweet
tea
is
good,
especially
when
adding
the
flavorful
mix-ins.
However,
this
is
a
localized
version
of
SOUTHERN
SWEET
TEA
with
a
twist
that
is
not
to
be
confused
with
Asian-style
milk
tea.
It
would
be
nice
to
see
"the
Golden
Ratio"
of
traditional
milk
tea.
Yes
this
place
carries
Tiger
Sugar
brand
syrup,
but
the
Jasmine
Cottage
does
not
use
a
true
black
tea
for
the
base.

I
sincerely
hope
this
place
is
a
local
staple,
as
it
truly
has
something
for
everyone
here.
😀
Overall,
it
seems
The
Jasmin
Cottage
prides
itself
on
beautiful
custom
sweets
as
well
as
maintaining
a
quick-service
cafe.
Hopefully
I
can
try
a
custom
cake
one
day,
but
this
review
is
in
reference
to
the
quick-service.
