We visited the restaurant as part of our trip from Ilulissat. The food was excellent - snow crab soup, reindeer steak and blueberry pie for dessert. Above all, the service was exceptional. The lady was incredibly nice, walked us through the entire village, answered all our questions about living in such a place.

Nice people, peaceful surroundings, tasty & fresh local products (seal meat + beer from Nuuk) :)

Had a wonderful lunch and dinner at H8 while staying overnight in Oqaatsut. Lunch was a set meal of bread and butter with an assortment of meats including whale, muskox, lamb, halibut, and shrimp. Dinner was again a set menu, this time it was muskox confit with carrot puree and and a potato, along with pickled onion and a wonderful gravy of muskox stock and crowberries. Their boozy Greenlandic coffee is an excellent after dinner offering on a cold breezy evening in the tiny settlement.

Took a boat to the village. It was very cozy. Walked into the quiet church. There are some good views overlooking the village. The restaurant is close to the water. Very cute building, nicely set up. The place is being looked after by two young Danes. They were very sweet. The poor review is mostly due to the food. They served a lunch plate that consisted of cold lunch meat and dry bread. We ended up getting a cookie since there wasn't enough food, and that was rather sad as well. Walked away liking the location, but disappointed by the food. The place has so much potential, but right now, I recommend avoiding it until they come up with a better lunch menu. We took the walk back to Ilulissat which took about 6 hours. It was a nice day. Remember to bring snacks.

Amazing Greenlandic cuisine. Greenland has some of my favorite food anywhere and this restaurant is a prime example of why.

A nice little local restaurant. Serves mainly fish and other local ingredients. We had a fish tapas plate followed by an amazing homebaked blueberry cake. Make sure to reserve on forehand, as it mainly opens on requests.

According to google maps, this is must be a floating restaurant located in the middle of the bay. Watch out for icebergs and those pesky polar bears.

It's not a "normal" restaurant. They have one lunch option, and a set menu for dinner (2 or 3 course) . It's the same dish every day. It's a real 'tourist' thing. The staff is friendly, but it's incredibly expensive. The food is made from local ingredients and they sell beer. The food was nice, but for the money it could have been more special. I'm not sure if there are vegetarian options.

Never been there but the food looks delicious. Anyone that disagree is wrong and the intelligence of a Nymphicus hollandicus.
