The perfect beach for the whole family. Away from the busy Hampton beach, Wallis Sands offers great spaces to hang out all day. Currently they are taking reservations so you are guaranteed a parking spot. The little cafe offers snacks and drinks.

Great family beach. Nice sandy area, close to bathrooms, picnic tables, and small store with ice cream, towels and toys. One side of the beach is rocky, with some fun tide pools. A concrete sidewalk and retaining wall (near picnic tables and bathrooms) provides a level area to look out over the ocean (could be a good spot to put a wheelchair or chair for those who have more trouble walking). A few steps down from this area will get you to sandy beach. Lots of parking -you can register for a limited number of spots online. They also save spots for first come first serve. There is a fee for parking. I've had good luck getting a parking spot as long as I get there earlier in the day. The parking lot is paved and mostly level. Great for all ages and stages!

Wallis Sands has been My Beach since birth. This photo is the first known picture of me at the beach with Mom. 1952. I love scrambling around on the rocks. Good beach for riding waves.

We didn't actually go here as its a state park so it was 15.00 to park there and we only had an hour before leave for boston, but 1/2 mile down the road you can park on the side of the street and there is beach access between two homes.

Small, no huge crowds, next to Rye Beach, good for long walks. Water was 56 degrees, a bit cold above the waist for me.

One of the better beaches along the NH coast. A little pricey at $15 per car but worth it if you get there early or at low tide. It's small so there's not a lot of beach during high tide. They have ample parking, bathrooms and the beach store seems to be open again. Also picnic tables and some grassy areas.

Nice beach with facilities. Parking $15 a day, I always found a spot. Family and kids section can get crowded, but rest of the beach is always half empty. This beach is really nice for out of season walks.

Nice place to sun and swim. Has a bathroom and bath house. They need to be renovated.

I love this beach! The sand is smooth, the water was nice, little sand bars here and there and it wasn't too crowded. The seagulls however are aggressive and a pro tip is that you can park for free past the beach and walk back (5 min walk)

Good size parking lot, lots of picnic tables prior to the beach area. Small store (big prices). No shade area. Restrooms available.

Public beach section is small but adequate and good for family especially those with little ones. Nice sand beach. Facility was ok but they close the bathroom section quite early. Lots of parking space even on a busy long weekend in summer days. Parking was $15.

Nice, small NH State Park Beach with snack bar and changing rooms. Get there early if you want to find a place to park.

Beautiful small beach near Portsmouth city, it's clean and usually not over crowded in the evenings. Plenty of free parking near the beach entrance and parking gate closed by 8:00 pm

Beach is nice but the state park is closed. Only portapoties and they are disgusting! I don’t think they have been changed all summer. Someone from the department of state parks needs to call them changed out

Beautiful state park beach in New Hampshire. Gorgeous views, great facilities including small store with ice cream, snacks, slushy, towels etc. Outdoor showers and changing rooms plus bathrooms. Probably the largest parking area of any of the state park beaches in the area.

Nice beach. I visited on September 10, 2022, arriving around 4:30 PM. I didn't have to pay an entrance or parking fee at this time. There were many people there, but it was not overcrowded. There were no dogs on the beach. The bathhouse closed at 5:00 PM, but the outdoor showers were still accessible and there were portable toilets in the parking area.

Nice place for a swim! Some spots on the road on the left end of the beach that you don’t have to pay for.

This beach sucks. Not worth it. Hampton and Salisbury are 1000x better just stay there

Had a great time after rolling up the coast. Thought the trip would never end until we hopped upon Wallis. We gave it a shot, and despite a couple rain storms we still stayed and had an awesome time.

Best beach! Very fun for kids to find hermit crabs and crabs.

The beach is great but they close the restrooms after 4pm without noticing it. All mobile toilets are locked as well. Not recommend for late afternoon visiting.
