Restaurant Cafe Meal takeaway Sri lankan restaurant

👍 Sri Lankan food shop in Preston market. Lamprais is my favorite! It comes with an egg, curry of your choices, dal, etc, definitely worth the price! Chicken kottu was nice but was not the best. Vegeterian friendly. People often mention chicken, curry,

I'm not Sri Lankan just wondering how good their curry and other foods. So I tried both in Preston Market and Brimbank shopping center. All I can say is they satisfied my hungriness! Amazing people and food too. Some food are really spicy so I always ask for mild only and more better to enjoy the food (also for me) my favourite I guess is the Goat Curry and also Cheesy Thosai. The rest of the food I'll try next time. YES I'll come back to eat again! Ps. I had the meal it cost me $14 and it's worth it. This picture below is my snacks for my own opinion! ☺️ for $9.90 again it is worth it and they will make it fresh for you 😍. 📸 from Brimbank Shopping Center

I am quite fond of appam and stew in kerela cuisine from India. Though these hoppers are not not as soft as appams but that's how they are meant to be. They are kind of crisper version of the kerela appam. Well made and we'll served.it tastes yumm and is definitely worth trying.

Normally a big fan of Sri Lanka Street Food but this morning's goat curry @ 10.45am was dry and tasted stale and I felt that I may have got yesterday's left over goat curry. Most pieces 5 were basically all bones with only 4 smallish pieces of actual goat. Very disappointed.

Ordered the devilled chicken and it was the bomb. The cook instead of giving me all devilled chicken decided to put half butter chicken on my plate. Probably thought poor white girl can't handle her spice. I can, but I was actually super grateful because the butter chicken was just as good. Genuinely cannot wait to go back and have this again.

You will be able to smell the fragrant spices coming from this outlet when you walked in Preston Market. The butter chicken was sooooo good, creamy and packed of flavor. Their lentil curry was so yum as well. Tried their food last week, this week I am definitely going back for more.

Absolutely delicious authentic Sri Lankan food at affordable price. There are different combos to suit everyone. KothuRoti definitely worth trying once. Nice people, great location. Will come back again.

Bought combo hoppers, didn't expect the hopper was flat and didn't have fluffy sponges in the middle. The chicken gravy not in good taste. Disappointed with the staff who cooked them. Need to improve the hoopers since I am a chef in Malaysia and Australia and trust they will upgrade themselves with quality food rather than just for sales.

An absolute favourite Saturday morning meal after yoga. The vegan combo is the most perfectly nourishing, flavour bomb, clean tasting plate of food in the Preston Thornbury area. Yellow dahl, 2 coconut veg curries, dried chili crush oil and a papadam.crunch. Wish they had a restaurant or cooking classes with even more vegetarian options because they do it so well.

The man tending the store (assuming he's the owner as he's been there from the start) is always friendly and accommodating. The food is excellent- especially the mild vegetable, mild dhal & medium spiced goat curry. The roti is also great. Haven't venture and try the other type of dishes. Affordable and generous sized. Weekends are always super busy for them! Totally recommend👌
