It's a nice place for relaxation. It is family friendly, has bbq grill for summer outing and kids' playground. Walkers, joggers, kayakers will enjoy this place too!

Love this protected park for the kids. Lots of hidden surprises, like the maze, flying fox and best of all it’s fenced so safe for little ones. Had a large car park, bathrooms and bbq facilities too.

Always a pleasant walk with many wildlife observations. Saw a big group of kangaroos, wombats, parakeets, and this confident kookaburra. A great place to take visitors to show off Melbourne suburb parks.

Great place for big and little kids (mine are as old as 3 and as young as 6months) many much older kids there too and things for all to do. Whether you watch a magpie concert, rocket around their multiple flying foxes or play all day in the huge sandcastle there's never a dull moment. Sometimes busy but never crazy. Lots of room in the surrounding grounds of lush grass for everyone.

A big fenced in playground that has four slides four swings two normal and two toddler. A seasaw, two flying foxes, musical bridge that has buttons you stand on and a wobble bridge, small maze where you press buttons and hear voices of kids playing marco polo and other games it has mirrors and art work in it. Three spin poles that you can stand or sit on, sand pit, small rock climbing wall with rope wall and rope ladder, a three person merry go round swing which has bat wings. Two tables undercover with bench seats and other seats around, barbecue with two hot plates and two drinking taps

It's Christmas day and we have been here a few hours now. It is a comfortable crowd of well behaved people enjoying a great family environment. All the park facilities are well maintained and the kids are totally occupied in all of the various playground areas. None of the group here have any negative comments at all. This park is worth putting on the short list for family days out, hang on, I retract that I don't want it to get too popular lol.

Big green field to play on, nice playground, toilet on-site. We once were here to test our new tents, 3 to be exact. Very useful place 😏😏😏😏

Fantastic playground with the lot. Two flying foxes, heaps of swings, a climbing structure, slides, play areas including a giant sand-pit with lots of toys, two electric BBQs under shade with tables, drinking fountain and toilet facilities, easy access and heaps of parking, right next to a walking/cycling track. Heaps of fun, exercise and laughs.

Brilliant playspace, well shaded and full of native plants. Very cool map and key that my 3yo found fun, like a scavenger hunt. And she adored the mosaics and colourful footprints and river stone snakes and things set into the pavement and gardens. All in all a beautifully planned and well thought out space that genuinely adds to the environment it's set in. Swings, flying fox, water play and sandpit, nature play, small slides, maze, musical bridge, bouncy see saw, toilets, drinking fountains. Parking is free, but not especially abundant. A short walk up the track, past the exercise space there is a suspension bridge that crosses the river. A platypus has been spotted here occasionally.

Best park I've seen in all of Melbourne! It has plenty of shade, has hills and plenty of rides, areas for the kids of all ages. It even has a bbq area and the whole place is enclosed/fenced. Only downpoint are the toilets. They need to be maintained regularly.

So much to love love love about this little playground. Surrounded by a fence and kids safety gate, great range of play equipment for all ages, tables to sit out, plenty of shaded areas, and BBQs. There are toilets but the cleanliness is always foul when we have gone to use them.

Great amenities, park, views, trails and nature You can even take a dip in the rapids if you dare. The fact that this amount of natural beauty is so close to the suburbs says a lot to Melbourne's lovely urban nature. The only issue that is keeping this park from being an instant 5 stars is the SHOCKING design of the bridge connecting one side of the rapids to another. On a busy day, the bridge becomes bottlenecked and congested leaving walkers and bikers squeezed in like sardines in a tin cane. Seriously, what were the designers thinking making the only bridge wide enough for 1 person comfortably cross on such a busy nature reserve?!

Here is recommended for family with kids. The playground for kids and ball games or walking along the river for all ages.

  • 5/5 Stefan L. 2 years ago on Google
This is one of my favourite playgrounds in Melbourne. On most playgrounds you're lucky if there is at least a sunsail or something providing a little bit of protection from the harsh sun in the summer months. This playground has lots of shady trees and bushes making it almost feel like a little fairy forest. If you're on your own and have to deal with multiple kids beware though. It's impossible to keep them all in sight especially on busy days. But at least it's completely fenced off. Also don't miss checking out the suspension bridge over the Yarra.

wonderful playground. Well maintained and felt so close to nature. variety of play equipment for kids to play even different age group. Playground has toilet in a convenience location. so that with little kids parent do not have to move a lot. love the maze and sundial. These are unique in this playground. In a gist, this playground has enough challenging equipment for different age group kids. Only drawback is sometimes its hard to find nearby parking spot but there are plenty street parking in surrounding area. It also has an awesome walk. You can spend walking jogging in a beautiful reserve.

I love this park but I'm not sure why they took down the flying fox ride ? If you take the kids to the suspension bridge - look for platupus swimming under it & around.

Love it! Great for young children and toddlers. We went in a super hot day and didn't even feel it. It has a great sand pit and table area with lots of shade. It's all fenced. No dogs allowed

Lovely playground for kids under 7. Not much for the older child but it is beautifully designed with a fast and exciting 3 person circular swing.

  • 4/5 Georgia S. 1 year ago on Google
Great playground for young kids as it's fenced off. There's something for everyone, from the sand pit to the jungle gym. Only criticisms would be that the slides are a bit awkward for younger toddlers to reach the top, and the toilets are pretty stinky.

Plenty of parking options and facilities for children and shade, and plenty of trail options. The suspension bridge and Yarra river rapids are worth a visit. No cafe option available.

All abilities playground, lots of different equipment, a MAZE!, a swing merry go round, and even a flying fox! Lovely that the playground is fenced, has a little track through it so good for scooters and little toddler bikes. We heard the ice cream truck while we were there too! If you're lucky, you'll get to see platypus families from the bridge 😊

The playground is nice but its right across a TOWER which is so toxic for humans , especially young children. Towers should never be this close to playgrounds or homes!!!!!
