Absolutely the worst clinic in Melbourne. Everyone in there, from the clerks to the doctors, treat patients the worst way possible, without coming out with any true value. The waiting area is not clean and does not nearly enough seats even though it's almost always busy. The whole place is just chaotic in everything sense. I went there a few times when I had no other choice but now I'm determined to never go back again.

I have been going there for many years now, but I am not a fan anymore. It is terrible in the mornings and Sundays so I would not recommend to go there during those times (ie. before midday) as there are only one doctor on duty and you need to wait a good 2 hours. I waited for more than 2 hours on 2 different days and both doctor refused to clean my ear, claiming they are too busy.

Made appointment for my elderly Mum to receive her booster and 3 hours later we were still sitting in the waiting room and watched everyone else that came well after us being called. I asked twice only to be told you are next - well it did not eventuate and my 94 year old Mum did not get her booster and we left. Needless to say it was the worst experience I have ever encountered. I would not recommend going there. Doctors shuffle the appointment cards to suit themselves. A real disgrace!

Someone needs to give more funds to this bulk billing place. It is run extremely poorly. Let me list the ways: There is a huge fish tank in the corner of the waiting area with no water or fish but rocks and fake plants. Takes up so much space. The cloth chairs are stained and gross. The place is filthy. The bathroom is disgusting. It ran out of toilet paper and after speaking to someone they went in the office and grabbed one tool and handed it to me. The soap dispenser is open at the top and doesn’t work at the bottom so you have to essentially dip your hand in the top of the open box of soap. The people drawing blood are not trained well and therefore make for a painful experience and have left me bruised. I got blood tests and wanted my results and go home. I did not need to see the doctor for this. Some times they would let me grab them and go but just now they protested that I had to see the doctor. However, I do not. I just need my results so I can go to a real doctor. The doctor will give me the results and I will leave. I am thinking they don’t get paid via Medicare unless the person is seen by a doctor. So the front staff need to get on the same page here. Don’t give my my results twice before and now say I have to see the doctor. The receptionists have an attitude with all patients. Anytime spent in the waiting room and you see they have a negative attitude to anyone who walks in. They are all rude. This place is absurd. I used to work in doctors offices and I’m sure anyone could run this place better than these people.

I promise to myself many times that ‘Never come back to this place’ just because it’s on the way to work, but this time surely no more. Doctors in this place only care for money, they always make it real quick to come to the next patients. Every single time I come for my neck and shoulder back pain, the doctor show no help at all, ‘You can’t get the pain because you’re too young, just do some exercise’. Please don’t come to this place, the doctors are really terrible, I never have to be that impolite with anyone but I really don’t want anyone have to experience the same feeling that I’ve gone through.

Such a terrible, dirty clinic. Receptionist was rude. I phoned before going in to ask how long the wait was and was told an hour. I went in with my 2 yr old child who had a really high fever and was told the doctors weren’t seeing anyone else as they had to go home early. I told her that I had called not too long before arriving and was told the wait would be an hour and she paused and said “it was probably another receptionist”. If I could rate zero stars I would.

So sad to see how far this place has fallen. What use to be a decent medical practice has now become a joke. After a minimum of an hour wait time (and that's on a good day), you'll be lucky to to get 5 minutes with a doctor who has become rude and antogonistic. Unless you're dying or have cancer they don't want to do anything for you and just want to get you out of the room so they can claim their medicare cheque. I know this is one of the few remaining places that still bulk bill in the area and some people simply don't have a choice, but if you care about you health and mental wellbeing I implore you to go elsewhere.

DO NOT COME HERE. I'll start with how it was so dirty inside I was afraid to sit on the chair, because of the concerning brown/red stains. Extremely rude and uneducated staff; I called TWICE to make sure they had a doctor that was comfortable prescribing my medication as it is a schedule 8 drug. They told me they would have a doctor on today that would be comfortable doing so. I waited for TWO HOURS at the clinic as it's walk in and you can't make appointments. Only for the doctor to change his mind and say he can't prescribe my medication. He extremely rude, discriminatory, and unhelpful. TWO HOURS OF WAITING only to tell me no actually they change their mind and they aren't comfortable prescribing my medication (despite having a discharge letter from my psychiatrist). I would have no issues if they had just told me when I called them. As I specifically asked if they'd be comfortable prescribing my medication. I'll also note he was very disbelieving of my diagnosis that I've had for years which is extremely unprofessional and essentially gaslighting. I'll also note he was comfortable prescribing me ritalin(?!) which is not the correct medication on the discharge note. Until I corrected him and told him it actually said dexamphetmine. This is why I'm very sure it was discriminatory and being uneducated that led to not prescribing my medication. Rather than any fault of mine. Although I was wearing a hoodie so my bad I guess 🤯🤯🤯 (that's sarcasm I shouldn't have to be in a business suit to get my medication be so for real) He was very comfortable prescribing me the INCORRECT medication that I am not prescribe? But not my actual medication.

Waited 2 hours, was told 1hr 30 minutes wait time so no worries but the doctor spoke to me for less than 5 minutes. Breaking out in hives and was told come back for a blood test tomorrow and to not take any medication despite breaking out in painful welts that brought me to tears. Luckily my mum works as a receptionist at a skin clinic who spoke to one of their doctors and told me to go to hospital. I was having an allergic reaction and my face was very obviously swollen during the appointmen with the doctor. I would go to this clinic if I just wanted a medical certificate. If you want actual medical care please go somewhere else. I honestly could not read the medical certificate he gave me or what the blood test was for, the hand writing was beyond anything I have seen and I work with children. Did not spell my name right or out the correct date either.

Waited over an hour to see the doctor, who spent less than 2 mins with me. He barely asked for any information about my condition before writing a script. I don't feel like he took the time to be able to accurately diagnose me, especially as a new patient. I went to this place because it was the only one open on Sunday, but in the future I'll choose to suffer for another day just to go elsewhere. I won't be going back.

I had an appointment for 5 pm & when I got there the receptionist said they weren’t seeing anymore patients. I noted that I had a 5pm appointment & she asked me are you Michael? They knew I had an appointment but couldn’t be bothered to even call me to tell me it has been canceled. Don’t bother going there, go next door at the shopping centre.

Hopeless service with one receptionist who can't speak proper English and 2nd one doesn't know what she is doing. Waited for 2 hours and was told 9 patients in front of me. Queried after 2 hours about my turn - was told still 8 patients in front of me. Just walked out from the place. La Trobe University Medical Centre had appointments available. Booked there straight away.avoid this centre if you can. Only visit if you need medical certificate for your sick leave. They don't do proper diagnosis

I’m very disappointed with the medical centre and do not recommend to go there. Summerhill medical centre is not professional, un- professional and unpunctual. I made an Telehealth appointment last week and called reception for confirm at 10am next day to confirm my booking. The reception lady confirmed my appointment over the phone and asked for waited for rest of my day. My appointment is at 12pm and i called at 1pm. The reception lady said I will be in the last list as and would be around 2-4pm. I called again at 330pm, the reception lady said the doctor is still busy and would take my appointment at 430pm. I waited again till 430pm but still hasn’t get any call. I rang them again and Anika said my appointment is still valid but doctor will call at 6pm and she is very Impatient. At the end I did not receive any call and even not any in next day. It’s very disappointed as I really need to talk to the doctor and I do not want anyone experiencing the same problem with me.

The staff here do their best. It was lucky that i came in at 2pm today for a walk in appointment....around 2.30pm they were not taking any more walk in appointments. I had travelled quite a bit to get to the clinic since all other doctors near me were booked out. Yeah, i had to wait 3 hrs to see the doctor but it was better than nothing. I was very annoyed to see people coming in being aggressive because they couldnt see a doctor. Everywhere is shortstaffed!!!! Please be kind!!

Yeah, it's busy, the doctors try to get straight to the point, and they don't spend much on chairs. It's a walk-in bulk-billing clinic, I don't know what people are expecting... If you just need to deal with something simple and non-critical on short notice without having to pay for it, this place is perfect.

I had a chest infection and Dr Chan this female Asian doctor checked my lungs and made me breath more then 20 times to hear my lungs that honestly made me extremely dizzy. She tells me my lungs are clear but im thinking what is this moron on about as i know %100 they are not clear. I went to a different Dr else were and was checked and the other doctor made me breath only twice and he knew straight away i had a chest infection. How dumb can 1 doctor be honestly! And the manager of this place the guy with some ugly stuff on his face is a total fool and is unprofessional!

The doctor roared in my daughters face, he was very unprofessional and treated her like she was a worm, she has serious mental health issues and he treated her like that. Not good enough and a formal complaint will be lodged, if she does anything to herself because of that doctor I will sue him and the clinic

Went in today expecting a long wait time due to most places being closed for the Christmas period. Was told 1.5 hour wait, waited that patiently. When the 1.5 hours was up, I asked the receptionist how many patients are in front of me to see how much longer it would be. Was told 13. A standard consult is 10 minutes - that would be another 130 minutes (2 hours, 10 minutes) wait time. In total a wait time of 3 hours and 40 minutes is beyond a joke, especially when patients WITH NO APPOINTMENT came in after me and were higher in the queue. Didn't even see the doctor because I walked out because I couldn't borrow a car for that long and had to get it home. Book an appointment - if you can even get through on their phones (or online). Otherwise, don't waste your time.

They don't let you book in advance, so every visit is a guaranteed hour-long wait in a sweaty concrete cell. Then, at the end of it, you're bustled into a room with an overworked, underpaid doctor that barely speaks English who will try to push you out the door as fast as possible, helping you being secondary because he has twenty other patients already waiting. This clinic is mildly preferable to a Soviet cancer ward, but I still think Alexander Solzhenitsyn would have some choice words.

Thank you Rose for being one of the kindest, friendliest, empathetic receptionists. Your compassion towards people that enter this centre is an act of humanity. So grateful for your kindness.

Poorly run, always late, bad public health safety measures. I had to ask the Dr to put a mask on, the reception staff often wear them under their noses, and most of the patients don’t wear masks even though there are still signs up stating they are mandatory. As an immunocompromised person I do not feel safe at this clinic with these poor management and safety practices. Even when I book an appointment with a Dr (first of their shift) instead of just turning up,they are running almost an hour late. Go somewhere else if you have the option.

The doctors are professional, especially Dr Chan. But some receptionists are very rude with parents. They don’t even know how to communicate with people nicely.

The worst clinic ever. Doctors are ok, I have no comments but the receptionists there are the full attitude towards patients. The receptionists have always seemed to be unhappy like we took their money or something. Gave me a surcharge and gave me hand written invoice receipt and also charged me $1 for a mask (that they made up on the spot, other patients at that time were not wearing and I was asked to pay for the mask and I was happy to pay, I had $10 note and the old lady at the reception rudely asked me to go get some change, funny enough, they been selling masks and didn’t prepare change? Or they just simply made it up to make it difficult for me and my daughter?). The young female receptionist even rolled her eyes and gave me this attitude 🙄😏 when I requested her to treat me right, and finally I asked them to give me a Formal invoice receipt and they had to find a way to make it look legal for their unreasonable surcharge and mask. They had to put the surcharge as “MISC” and no number for that “service item”. Why? BECAUSE SURCHARGE JUST DOES NOT EXIST AND THEY JUST BULLIED ME AND TRIED TO MAKE ME FEEL ANNOYED AND TRIED TO CHARGE ME AS MUCH AS THEY CAN PS: I CONTACTED THE CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND IT IS CONFIRMED THAT THE SURCHARGE WAS UNREASONABLE AND I HAVE RIGHT TO PROCEED FURTHER WITH EVIDENCE AND ESPECIALLY THE “WONDERFUL” ATTITUDE FROM THE RECEPTIONISTS OF THIS CLINIC SURELY MAKES ME FEEL LIKE I GOTTA PUSH THIS CASE WITH CONSUMER AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT

Dirty, unprofessional and appalling. Why would you keep accepting walks in when your waiting room is full of people who have been there 1-2+ hrs and you have one doctor on? Had to stand at the desk for a good 5 minutes until Rose acknowledged me as she was too busy bitching about patients with someone at the front desk.

Useless. After being told a 2 hour wait, we waited 4 hours and were then told by the pathetic Dr Huang that she would not give us a medical certificate. She was also wearing a dirty glove, way to go spreading germs doctor.

A convenient and friendly clinic in northern suburbs. Bulkbilling and open for walk-in patients. Receptionists are all nice and kind especially Kerry and Rose. I have been seen by Dr. Kong Chan and Dr. Huang, they were all patient and professional.

I’ve been coming to this medical clinic for many years. Dr Chan senior and junior are some of the best doctors I’ve seen in many years, polite courteous and professional. They listen and care about your problems. The overall look of the place might not been a 5 star clinic but at the end of the day it’s the doctors we come to see. Keep up the good work guys. Even the reception staff are friendly and helpful and professional

My son became unwell on a Saturday afternoon. GPs near me were either closed or not taking walk ins. Found this clinic online. Dr Sam Beitner was lovely and I was grateful I could get my son seen. The place is run down and in some serious need of maintenance, but I was pleased the doctor took the time to examine and explain the treatment for my son. I will take my son to Dr Beitner again if he needs it.
