I've shot numerous weddings here at Ballara Receptions, and I always enjoy myself. The most recent time here, I shot a wedding video. The video isn't ready yet, so I'm sharing photos from my phone as reference for my review. In simple terms, what i like most is the layout, which makes it very easy for me to get beautiful wedding video footage. So maybe think about that if you're considering this location for your wedding

I cannot express enough how exceptional our wedding experience was from start to finish at Ballara Receptions. Everything about this place exceeded our wildest expectations, and I am thrilled to share my glowing review. From the moment we arrived at the venue, we were greeted by a team of warm and professional staff members who instantly made us feel welcome. Their attention to detail and dedication to making our day perfect was truly remarkable. The level of service we received throughout the entire planning process and on the day of our wedding was amazing. The venue itself was nothing short of breathtaking. The locations surrounding the water were beautiful for our photographs, especially with the Autumn colours coming through the trees, the ambiance was romantic and enchanting. The grounds were immaculately maintained, providing a stunning backdrop for our ceremony and reception. Every corner of the venue was thoughtfully designed, creating an atmosphere of elegance and sophistication. The main reception space was simply stunning. With its high ceilings, elegant centrepieces, and luxurious decor, it felt like stepping into a fairytale. The attention paid to every aspect of the interior design was evident, and it truly made our wedding feel unique and special. The flexibility of the space allowed us to personalize it to our liking, and the venue staff worked closely with us to ensure our vision was brought to life. The food was delectable, and the presentation was truly wonderful. The most beautiful and magical place to get married!! With the most supportive, warm and welcoming staff. We would recommend Ballara 1000 times to any engaged couple. Stacey took care of us from day one and ensured everything was perfect on our special day, and Loretta was an amazing bridal host ensuring that no one needed to stress and everyone had what they wanted during the night. Ballara are also DOG FRIENDLY!! We brought our beautiful Rosie who stayed for both ceremony and reception and it was just perfect! Thank you a million to Ballara Receptions, and for the lifelong memories we will now cherish forever!

Ballara Receptions were very very accommodating to all our questions and Loretta was an absolute godsend. We had a beautiful walk around the gardens, Loretta showed us all the different places for photos, ceremony options, lake, bridal suite and reception area. The grounds are pristine and the gardens are immaculate. I would urge you to ring and speak with Loretta as she is extremely well versed in Ballara Receptions and the wedding industry and we are very lucky to have met her and the Wedding Team. Our wedding ceremony was truly a magical day, which was held at Ballara Reception in Eltham in their beautiful chapel. Since the day we first found this venue to do our ceremony, we both fell in love with it because of the beautiful garden, pond and fountain, but the most capturing part of it was the chapel (which is exactly what we wanted to do our wedding ceremony). Which made our wedding day extra intimate and special with all its beautiful touches and features, and the staff. Poppy from Ballara Reception looked after us, and did an amazing job, being present and tending to our every needs or questions leading up to the day and on our special day. She made sure our day ran smoothly for our guest, our photographers, videographer and livestream, but most of all she always made sure both Leah and I were ok. Highly recommend this venue for any functions as you will be well looked after and the venue itself is breathtaking. Wedding and reception in one place. The place is very well laid out, with wonderful staff and excellent service. Both canapes and dinner were delicious. Had a very enjoyable night.

Ballara Receptions was more than 5 stars. From the beginning enquiry, through the entire planning process and to the final big day we were impressed all the way through. All of the staff are friendly, professional and reply promptly to any questions. The gardens are just beautiful, particularly for photographs and the options for the day are so flexible. The food was a highlight for everyone and I would highly recommend the chef for being able to provide for people with complicated food allergies making the day completely stress free. Ballara Receptions is a must to look at if you are planning to get married! We cannot thank the Ballara staff more for going above and beyond to make our day so special.

Even if this review is months overdue, but whenever I look back on old photos and videos of our most beautiful day, It still feels surreal and magical. The team at Ballara were amazing in making our special day extra memorable and stress free. There were so many things we want to thank them for. The way they set up the venue for us was absolutely lovely. The photos and decorations were arranged so beautifully, it was beyond our expectations. We can't recommend Ballara highly enough! The venue is absolutely beautiful, there are so many great places to take wedding photos including the lovely gardens and lake. We were also extremely impressed by how helpful the staff were leading up to and on the day - they made sure we kept to time and had anything we needed at all times. They were incredibly attentive and ensured that every little detail was taken care of - they made the experience so easy and fun for us. The food was delicious and with very generous portions! We especially loved the pork belly. We had many guests come up to us on the night to say how much they loved the food.

The customer service at Ballara Receptions has been amazing throughout the whole journey. From the start to finish, they've made the wedding planning process a stress-free one! The venue is beautiful with lots of great photo opportunities. The food was amazing, a lot of the guests complimented on the food and my husband really enjoyed the food taste testing event in the lead up to the wedding day! It was also a great bonus that the venue is pet friendly, which meant our fur baby was able to attend our special day as well. Would highly recommend!

We feel beyond grateful for finding Ballara Receptions. On our first tour, we knew that this beautiful venue was where my partner Sam and I wanted to get married. The garden and lake were so picturesque and the attention to detail in the chapel was absolutely stunning! Then to also have a dining room that was beautifully set out and spacious for our needs, seemed to good to be true! What also made this venue incredible was the wonderful team. Throughout the process the staff were accommodating and always willing to answer any questions/queries we had. We also never felt rushed during the meetings, which left us reassured every time! We couldn't have asked for a better wedding day with all the amazing efforts by everyone at Ballara Receptions! The atmosphere, the attention to detail and the food & drinks were perfect. We had an intimate garden wedding ceremony at Ballara reception. Although the rain teased us for a while on the day, we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. We appreciated the ease of communication and how accommodating all the Ballara team were throughout the whole planning process, including a postponement due to the pandemic. Highly recommend!

Amazing venue, lovely staff and very organized. Such a beautiful venue and the staff are very helpful. I would email any time any day and they would reply straight away with a reply. Our wedding was magical and we can’t thank them enough for their professionalism and help throughout the way and on the day. We are so happy to have had our wedding at Ballara Receptions. I remember when we first looked at 3 Venues, ballara being one of them. I always had my heart set on this venue. It’s so beautiful and could not fault anything. Staff at Ballara and especially Popy the function manager just had everything perfect to what we wanted. Our guests kept telling us how beautiful the food was, and we were so grateful with how much food they provided too, no maccas run for anyone hehe. Overall want to thank Ballara for a perfect day, these photos show just how happy we are. 😊

We had our wedding at Ballara and it was just magical. The staff were simply incredible and so supportive even through the unfortunate postponement. The grounds are just stunning and speak for themselves but the staff love what they do and it just adds that extra level of love on a special day.

We could not have been happier with our choice to have our wedding at Ballara. From the moment we first got there for a tour, all the staff were lovely and welcoming, they gave great advice and took the time to answer all of our questions. We booked our original date the same day we first looked at the venue because we knew it was the one. Across about 18 months and two wedding dates, the team were always quick to respond to our queries and so flexible and accommodating with our plans. Postponing our wedding due to covid was not stressful at all thanks to the wonderful team at Ballara. Being a family run business, it is very clear that they genuinely want your day to go ahead without a hitch and provide so many options when it comes to postponing to meet your requirements. We left our final meeting 2 days before the wedding feeling so looked after and confident after going through our final arrangements with Loretta - she is amazing and so organised. When I arrived ready to walk down the aisle Loretta and Jan were both there to help keep everything on track and Jan was even helping to calm my nerves moments before I walked down the aisle. We were constantly looked after throughout the day with drinks and whatever else we needed and did not have to worry about anything at all. The food was INCREDIBLE. The menu is huge and overwhelming because everything looks so good, but that is a great problem to have. We have had guests contact us over the last few days raving about the food. Thank you all so much for making our day so special, we will definitely be back in the future for other events as we just loved it here!

The staff here are always on point, so friendly attentive and don't pester couples to hurry their photo session. With grounds and chapel onsite, you can have an all in one solution for your wedding with a great range of suppliers to choose from. They have always catered to my team and I with open arms and a friendly smile.

After 4 postponements over 2 years of Covid, we finally were able to get married at Ballara and I can not fault the venue or team at all. Throughout the whole process they were understanding and accommodating and really made the whole experience stress-free. The venue itself is designed for weddings - whether you want an indoor chapel service or outdoor garden ceremony, there are ample gorgeous spots inside and out for amazing photography around the lake with a giant swing, giant L-O-V-E lettering and just an overall gorgeous garden. The team designed the whole day around the time of the sunset so we had the best light for our photos - they definitely know what they're doing and take into account every minor detail so that you get the most out of your day. The food, oh the glorious food! I still think about that melt-in-your-mouth short rib mains. Even to this day (2 months later) we still have people messaging us what a great night and food it was. Thanks to Amanda, Popy, Loreta and the team for everything! Highly recommend Ballara Receptions and I'm hoping I'm invited to someones event hosted here soon...!

The entire team at Ballara were so easy to deal with. Even after 2 postponements they made it an easy transition and never a hassle. We did ceremony only and photos. Our wedding day was magical & our guests were comfortable. The gardens were pristine and look stunning in our photos. The only thing that let us down (hence not a 5 star review) was the music was way too low for the certificate signing & exit of the chapel. We are lovers of music and the songs we chose had significant meaning to us. To not have that mood set by the music really disappointed me. All in all the Chapel at Ballara allowed us to have a ceremony in a beautiful setting that was exactly what we were looking for. Thank you
