10/10 recommend this place. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Food is GREAT. It's definitely pricey, but It's a great experience. I recommend the different platters so you can try as many meats as possible. Ostrich fillet was one of my favorites. Definitely don't skip out on dessert. Their bourbon bread pudding is awesome.

Had to twist it up and ate some wild game for our anniversary dinner tonight. Safe to say we finally experienced ostrich, kangaroo, venison, Buffalo, and duck. The ambiance was amazing and service was excellent. The owner Mr. Edmund greeted us and sat us to our table. He has my deepest respect. Most owners do not interact as much as he does to his guests. They were very personable during our visit for our anniversary. Our waitress, Jessica was excellent and always checked in on us. The food was extravagant. We had the Wild Game Sampler which consisted of 3oz each of Buffalo, duck, and venison plus chips and creamed spinach dip. For entrees we had the Huntsman platter which included the venison chop, kangaroo, and ostrich. I was surprised that I loved each and every one of the meats since it was my first time eating them. To top it off, we had the chocolate mousse cake and the bread pudding. Thank you for making our 2nd year anniversary memorable!

Wow! I was so impressed with our visit on Friday night with an 8:30 reservation. We arrived at 8:20 and were promptly seated. The host was very pleasant and engaging. Our waiter Chris was wonderful and very knowledgeable of the menu, dishes, beer, drinks and wine. The food was great and the overall experience was one that made us want to return...and we shall. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Feels like I'm relaxing after a hunt in the woods. The cabin lodge atmosphere is very comfortable. The food is so unique and cooked to exact temperature. They have entrees with a main meat but if you're indecisive there are 2 very nice mixed meat dishes with specific sauces for each. The kangaroo is melt in your mouth tender. The pacing of the courses are perfect, time to relax and enjoy a glass of wine. Our server Jessica was fully informed on each dish and great with suggestions based on our preferences. We will be coming back and trying every exotic food on this menu.

My family and I loved coming here, it was different than most of the local usual restaurants. They have a variety of different things on the menu. The staff was very friendly and refers to you by your first name which I thought gave a nice personal touch. We will definitely be back.

The food was over all great! This place is one of my top recommendations this was the second time I have been there and the food was better than ever both times I went this time I had the Remington roasted duck with a baked potato it was great best duck I have had in my entire life their sweet tea is great too the the other people had great food also one of them had the Saskatoon sampler which is a rack of lamb and a whole quail the side was potato wedges the other person with me had pecan crusted salmon with the side of garlic mashed potatos and for dessert we had cookie cheesecake, carrot cake, and triple layered mousse cake they were all great I totally recommend this restaurant

Great experience here! This is an ideal place to try fresh, unique meats. The filet mignon pictured was delicious and incredibly tender. The charcuterie board was delicious, too. My mom thoroughly enjoyed her birthday here.

Our family, adults only this time, lined up a reservation at Saskatoon to celebrate my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary. They chose this spot as an alternative to a trip out West for dinner. The central location made it easy for all of us to get there on time! Parking was a breeze and they have a huge covered area for eazy drop off. Tons of outdoor lighting highlighted the gardens and landscaping making it interesting and easy to get to the front door. We were greeted by a friendly hostess upon arrival and walked to the bar area for cocktail during our brief wait. The bar area was staffed by two bartenders and small enough to feel homey. Overall, the ambiance is romantic with a rustic lodge feel. The unique menu items made an interesting and memorable meal. Our server took down our names and treated us like family, along with the rest of the staff. I definitely recommend this restaurant for great food and an experience to remember!

My wife and I visited the new location for the first time on March 5th, 2022, for my Birthday dinner. What an unbelievable new location. Grand and spacious, yet still warm and cozy. Our reservations were for 7:00 and we were seated at ten till. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. Creamy spinach & bacon with tortilla chips. Our entrees were The Huntsman and the Pork Tenderloin. The Pork Tenderloin was tender and well prepared. The Huntsman consisted of Venison Chop, Kangaroo Loin and Ostrich. All were wonderfully prepared, but the venison chop was by far the star of the plate. Incredibly tender. There was a small hiccup when the server placed our order and two completely wrong meals were brought to the table. The issue was quickly righted without us saying a thing and they also treated us with free deserts of Cheesecake and Carrot cake. We not only will be back, but highly suggest you make it there too.

Fantastic food with great service. I ordered the wild game sampler and elk tenderloin. Both were delicious. The elk had somewhat of a smokey teriyaki flavor and the sampler included duck, boar, and venison which was nicely flavored as well. The price was on the higher side but it was a great experience overall and the waitress took care of us. It feels cozy and warm inside like you are visiting a lodge. Will return in the future.

This place is awesome. The service was the best that I have ever had. As soon as we got to our table, the server asked for both our names. That was a big plus for my wife and I. That just made the service more personal. We started the a sampler plate. And each serving was delicious. I had the buffalo ribeye steak. Cooked to perfection and the taste was phenomenal. My wife had the blackened grouper. Just like my steak, it was cooked to perfection and the taste was phenomenal. We had the bailey's Irish cream cheesecake for dessert. It was amazing as well.

First time visiting this restaurant and I was extremely impressed with the service and quality of food. Never felt rushed; in fact, we felt like we were treated as honored guests. Even young children at other tables were treated as equals and engaged in the conversation instead of overlooked as is so common at many restaurants. For an appetizer, we split an order of the New Zealand Green-Lipped Mussels. The mussels were cooked to perfection and the cooking liquid of flavorful and plentiful. On a personal note, I had a hard time detecting any garlic, so will have to ask about having additional garlic added to dish when prepared in the future. Our entrée was the Saskatoon Mixed Grill which consisted of local quail, New Zealand lamb chops, and a teriyaki beef steak all served with a portobello reduction sauce. The lamb and beef was cooked to a perfect medium rare which is always a huge plus. If you never had quail, don't pass up the opportunity to try it here as it was one of the best preparations I've had. In retrospect, I wish I would have asked for additional sauce as it was just not quite enough for the quail and lamb for my taste but they could probably sell the sauce on its own as it was so silky smooth and full of flavor. Our server, Micah, was absolutely wonderful. He took time to explain the specials, made recommendations, and answered all questions in a manner that showed how much he enjoyed his job as much as we enjoyed being there. If you are ever assigned to his section, you will be blessed by his wonderful attitude and humor. Finally...I highly recommend making reservations before going to ensure you have an opportunity to enjoy the service and savor their wonderful food.

The place speaks for itself. Driving up from the outside kind of gives the feel of being in the woods. I love the decor. The owner is hilarious and makes you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in. We had a reservation and got seat right away. Our appetizer came quickly and the service provided is second to none around town. The food is delicious and for being a first time trying some if this it was terrific. I highly recommend the antelope. It is expensive but you get what you pay for amd is worth every bit. Our waitress was awesome and her sense of humor made the night great.

Had a fantastic dinner at Saskatoon Steaks Fish and Wild Game. We tried the game sausage, I had the Elk and my hubby had the Ostrich, Venison and Kangaroo. We shared the bread pudding. The strawberry mule cocktail was delicious. I would also like to say the staff were great, very attentive, and friendly. Will definitely return.

This was our first time dining at Saskatoon Lodge for a birthday dinner. Absolutely loved the atmosphere, especially at the bar where we had a pre dinner drink. It was fun trying out the food on the menu. Everything was tasty, prepared well and presented well. The staff was very friendly! A wedding was going on the same night and looks like a great venue for special events. We look forward to coming back!

The service was by far the best, hands down! Linda was very sincere to our questions considering this was the first time here. The wild game sampler appetizer had antelope (very delicious), duck and Buffalo. The green mussels were nothing less than great as well as everything to that point. The main dishes, my lady who's not any kind of a steak eater enjoyed her Buffalo ribeye. I had elk (changed my life)! We definitely will be back as we try to have a variety in our diet! Linda you are were awesome and when we return I wish for her services once again. Keep up the great work! Definitely recommend to all.

Let me start off by saying I was not thrilled that my boyfriend chose this restaurant as our date night spot. I am very particular about trying new types of food and I was certain I was going to go with a safe choice, which was salmon. We started with the alligator bites, yummy! After browsing the menu I decided I was going to branch out and try something new, so glad I did! The lamb as definitely 10/10. The sauce provided with it was also fantastic. My plate came with mashed potatoes, which were also creamy & delicious. My boyfriend decided on the Huntermans Platter, which consisted of venison, ostrich & kangaroo! Each was yummy, but the favorite was definitely Kangaroo! The only thing that would’ve given this place a solid 5 star all around was our server, although he was nice, we only saw him when he brought our drinks & bread, took our order and refilled drinks once. Another server noticed and was kind enough to ask if we needed to go boxes & the check. We wished we had the server that was with the other tables, as he was super attentive & made a lot of conversation about the tasty foods everyone else as trying. Besides this, everything was fantastic and I definitely would recommend this place!

An incredible experience Fine dining service and very talented chef(s) provided a perfect environment to taste many exotic meats. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to try wild game. It was it impeccably seasoned and perfectly cooked.

MUST have reservations. My first time here and I loved it. Staff is friendly and attentive. Delicious food! Fun to try alligator. I loved the Kangaroo; 🦘 it was my favorite. Antelope was good but a bit salty for me. Venison was good, and duck was delicious. Sauces were fun to pair. Sampler platter was a great way to try things and decide for dinner. Drinks were on point. The Chocolate Moose pie is amazing!!!!! Perfect place to have a memorable night!!!

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner on Christmas Eve 2024 and celebrated a birthday. We were pleasantly surprised at our honorees name on the marquee out front as well as the white board inside! Our table was ready and waiting for us, our servers Jeff and Chloe were professional, personable, friendly, attentive on this very busy evening. We loved the variety of menu items and my daughter even tried a few new things. We let the chef choose the best way to cook each of our selections and they did and excellent job. The only improvements we would suggest was to offer a variety of sauces to go with the meats and to cook or season the mixed grill vegetables a bit more. We loved the "lodge" and fireplaces in the building, and the holiday decor was tasteful. This is definitely worth a visit while you are in town. We will be back.

If more stars were available I would definitely rate higher lol. From walking in until we left everything was AWESOME. Friendly staff! Clean restaurant! Our waitress was very knowledgeable and gave great info on what was the best temperature for each meat.I had the 15 oz ostrich and it was delicious. My friend had the Huntsman (venison, kangaroo and ostrich) everything was delicious. We will be back SOON

Our waiter was (RANDY) and he was soooo very nice. Didn't rush on explaining the menu and the specials. Top notch with the whole staff. From the time you enter the building, till you leave, everyone that greets you or brings your food are all so nice!!! Second time there and just as nice as the first time!! There food is just as amazing. My favorite is the Kangaroo. Thank you for another wonderful dinner experience!

We had a wonderful Valentine Eve date night here. The atmosphere is second to none and our waitress Summer was remarkable. She knew everything about the food and made some great recommendations since it was our first time. We will definitely be back!

I love this place. I am very disappointed that I was only able to eat here once while I was in the area. I will certainly be coming back. The unique menu options and the excellent service make this a real winner.

We had a wonderful time here! Service was great. I got the mix, chef, special sampler for my meal, lamb, quail, and beef. Me and my husband both agreed that the mashed potatoes were a little bit on the sweeter side, I didn’t mind it, but my husband would prefer savory. The appetizer was super fun, we got the charcuterie board. The kangaroo was really good!

This is the most amazing place to experience different food types. The servers knew everything about the menu items. I ended up getting the Huntsman Platter which had 3 different types of meats. The alligator bites as an appetizer was so delicious!!! Anybody who wants to try a new experience, I recommend giving this restaurant a try!!!

This past weekend we ate here for the first time and were absolutely blown away with our experience. Everything was top notch from start to finish. We made a reservation, were greeted immediately & seated within 5 min of checking in. Our waiter Joshue was AMAZING! Very thorough & attentive. He explained the specials & answered all of our questions regarding the menu. He even called us by our names throughout the night. All of the staff we encountered were so kind. They worked together as an incredible team. Our empty plate sat on the table for less than 10 seconds after moving it to the side, someone came to pick it up. We came to celebrate my fiancé birthday & they even had a sign at the door with all of the special occasions. (They text me that morning to get his name to add it.) What a nice touch! The food was phenomenal- cooked to perfection. From the appetizer to dessert, we were very impressed. The chocolate mousse cake is to die for!! We will absolutely be back. Don't let the menu prices scare you away, while $$$ - the experience and food were worth what we paid!

very unique dining experience! It is on the pricier side, but well worth the money. The portion sizes are great for the price. Staff is knowledgeable and very attentive. I never feel rushed when I’m here which is always a bonus, great place to go out for dinner especially with out-of-town guests, the food never disappoints. I especially love seeing the shocked expressions when they see the different types of meat on the menu.
