This is a beautiful and well maintained garden. It has tons of shaded pathways and picnic areas. Perfect place to walk in the summer. It is super clean with no trash spotted anywhere in the garden. It has a great variety of shrubs, trees, flowers, birds, and other wildlife. It is a joy to wander through its many paths to find the little areas to stop and appreciate the grounds around you.

Beautiful and peaceful garden. It was the perfect place for a photoshoot with my Samson. With Samson's health deteriorating, I wanted a special peaceful place to capture a few sweet moments with him and the pictures turned out perfect!

Absolutely beautiful botanical walk 💛 I could spend all day here just existing and be completely content. You can tell they take pride in this garden, the love and care are evident around every bend. Definitely going to become a go to when I desire some peace and meditation. And the origin story is just as beautiful as the park is! 10/10 would recommend stopping by, whether you have 30 minutes or 3 hours, it's worth it. The park is free but there are donation boxes on site, they use the donations to take care of the park, even if you can only spare $1 it is a worthwhile donation 💛

The Gardens are Beautiful year round. There are 6 different paved trails and 2 dirt trails. They have 2 Big beautiful Waterfalls and two Large ponds. The pong up front has Koi fish in it. I walk the trails for exercise and when I'm in the gardens it's always quiet and peaceful. It's a great place to go so you can relax. Inside the Gardens you are surrounded by hundreds of Trees Big and Small. It's a great place to bring your kids too. There are plenty of places to sit with built in Benches or Shelters. Up front there is a Bathroom for Men & Women and they have picnic seats everywhere. There are a lot of Donated Plants and Flowers in the Gardens. Also they have a large parking area that is Free. This is a get in Free Gardens.

Hatcher Garden is a beautiful place for a walk, relax, just sit and enjoy nature. A great place to take the kiddos when they are too hyped up. The walking will tire them fast! The flowers are gorgeous, and the water fall is very pretty. There are turtles that excite the children, and it's shaded. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Beautiful garden and great place to walk around in nature. Lots of little paths to take and places to sit. Saw some people taking some beautiful family photos and a couple having a picnic. I really enjoyed the garden. My only disappointment was there was not any water. Looking forward to seeing the little falls, but it was dry.

I have lived in Spartanburg County for 6 years, and have never been to this beautiful place. Amazing, breathtaking, wowing, gorgeous, and bountiful is just a few words to sum up how awesome of a time that I and my husband had today. Nature walking, picture taking, enjoyment of nature and its beauty was all of that and then some today. I'm not one for the nature, or outdoor experiences, but I must say this is something that I will do again. It truly was a sight to see. I've added some photos of our fun packed experience.

This place is absolutely gorgeous, and full of wildlife. We had my daughter's engagement photos done here, and they turned out amazing. My favorite part is the waterfalls and all the animals!

This place was so beautiful and peaceful! We saw lots of beautiful plants, flowers of all colors, plus turtles, coy fish, spiders, dragonflies, bees, and various other cool bugs. Lots of beautiful waterscapes. Easy trails for all ages and abilities. A beautiful bridge with a waterfall that has a rainbow if you catch the sunlight in the right place. Benches available for resting and enjoying nature.

Been here before several times but I just recently moved back to the area after being gone for almost 6 years. Went back today after being gone for so long and the people that run the Gardens have really done a fabulous job at cleaning up the park and adding new additions to the Gardens. Had a wonderful walk and got to see some turtles, small fish, and other wildlife in their natural habitat. I would recommend this place if you want to get out of the house for a bit and smell the flowers.

Love this beautiful place!! Very well maintained, just read all the other great reviews! Easily one of the prettiest scenic spots in the Burg. They sell plants on the weekends, the picnic tables are made of recycled milk cartons, there is a Little Library, there are all types of streams and ponds. I will say, a few are dried up at the moment, but it doesn’t take away from the beauty of the garden. There’s plenty of perfect picnic spots, too!

Beautiful area! Great location if you're looking somewhere easy to walk some basic trails and see some great landscaping and nature. It is well-maintained then as I was passing through there were other people there that were using it for a birthday party or just enjoying a relaxing day with the nice weather.

Serene, beautiful, meticulously kept. If there was a hammock, I'd take me a nap and just enjoy the aroma, the gentle breeze, slight sounds of squirrels and waterfalls everywhere.. VERY NICE place to visit. We HIGHLY recommend this place. We took about an hour to slowly walk the mile of trails. OMG, there is actually a money plant.. who knew? I think we saw a cannabis plant. NOT SURE.... LOL.. I did take a picture of what I presumed was.. Let me know in a comment if I'm mistaken.

A beautiful botanical garden, with some waterfalls and places to sit down and take in the atmosphere. Various paths you can take and explore. It's worth going to see, and you can't beat free admission.

Beautiful gardens and many different trails and walkways to explore. Perfect place to bring the kids for an afternoon. Lots of wildlife including turtles and many bird varieties.

The garden boasts a wide variety of botanical life. From ferns to hydrangeas, there are many different plants to take pictures of or appreciate as a plant lover. The atmosphere is very calm and tranquil making it a nice place to walk and take a moment to relax and enjoy yourself there are many benches and seats along the many trials where you can even sit and rest for a moment just to listen to the birds as they chirp away. I hope have some criticisms, some of which aren't even to the fault of the garden themselves, however there is a small selection of actual flowers, as the Garden is primarily populated with greenery. I'm sure there are different times of the year when different plants bloom, regardless you may be disappointed of you go expecting to see big bright flowers. There are plaques placed within the garden identifying some of the plant life, however there are a good many plants that are left unnamed, or without much information. If you'd like to learn more about the plants you may see along the way, I recommend getting Google lens from the Google play store. Google lens allows you to take a picture of the plants you may see, and then will give you a result based on what it sees, and many times, it will give accurate information on the specific plant you see. It's great if you like to study botany, so that you can lean about the scientific fact of some of the plants you see. Lastly, airplanes can and will fly over the garden, though that's not something the garden can really control, just keep in mind you still may hear a jet engine or two while trying to enjoy the tranquility of nature.

This garden is a very special place. I love to come out here for the peace and quiet that it offers. The beautiful nature and the sound of the birds make the perfect setting for some meditation, reading a book, or simply taking a walk. The park is filled with a big variety of trees and flowers as well as many species of birds (many birdfeeders to birdwatch). If you love nature and tranquility, then this garden is for you.

Wow! What a beautiful place and amazingly in this day and age it's free!. There are paths going everywhere so do yourself a favor and download the map of the grounds. Depending on how much you stop and smell (or photograph) the roses you can easily spend multiple hours here or even better pack a lunch and spend the day.

This place is beautiful and serene! Quiet and relaxing! There is a water fall, bird feeders, koi pond, plenty of squirrels and chipmunks. My grandkids and I love this place! It's free but please leave a donation.

👍👍 This park is very nice. It’s clean and well kept. The splash pad is a huge hit with the kids. There is a button on one of the poles to activate the water. It’s on a rather shower timer but the kids don’t mind running over and hitting it again. There are a few big play ground areas that are perfect f...
